In 3 days I am done teaching and entering final grades for my students at my university for this year and I am welcoming a long Summer break when I will do exactly what you did, Jolita!!! I am going shopping, am cleaning my closet, I am re arranging my home and even my mind! Thank you for this wonderful video. You always inspire me. 🌷

I LOVE that first coat. I would enjoy it! Coats are even more important than sweaters to me. I go to the store with my coat over my other clothes. It doesn't get removed while I'm shopping. I go for a drive in my car or walk in my coat. It's like a second skin in the winter (early spring and late fall) around here, so I allow myself LOTS of coats and jackets. Makes me happy! 😀
Oh, I love that coat too! For 10 years already! Just not wearing it anymore. I can totaly understand your love to coats - they can elevate every outfit.
Hi Jolita, thanks to you I have been bitten by the clean out my closet bug! I have held onto clothes that don’t fit simply because I love the person who gave them to me. Love your videos. 🌺
Well done on the closet clean and purchase of items that you love to replace some of them. I love your new dress and the items that you have replaces. I have purged and purged and stil have too many items. And now I have less use for all those clothes because I work from home; it's a dilemma. I don't want to get rid of all my nice work clothes because one never knows if you will need to go back to the office. One thing that I think we should all try and keep in mind if we can is purchase high quality coats, clothes, shoes - avoid fast fashion if you can.
Thanks for a great video. Of course it’s a good argument to say one’s clothes should be worn for a few seasons at least. But even our most loved garments grows stale, not to mention show signs of wear and tear no matter how good you take care of them. So, what better excuse to get a few new things and sort out the cupboard. There is a saying that when you sort out your closet you sort out your head. Maybe there is some wisdom in that. Love your striped jersey and everything else too. We are preparing for winter now. Summer was endless and blazingly hot, can’t wait to ditch camisole tops for boots and coats.

I've just done this as well! It's so freeing to finally remove those pieces of clothing I look at and think *heavy sigh*, I don't really want to wear it. New subscriber here! This is the first video of yours I have seen and I am amazed at how relaxed I feel after watching it! Thank you for sharing how you decluttered and talking through the pieces you chose to get rid of. It’s really helpful to hear other’s thought processes and things to consider when decluttering a piece. I just did this process but I would have done it differently and will do differently in the future. Everything I have in my closet now I am working on wearing and figuring out what I really love and what suits me. I have children and I like to be active but I also like to dress up so I’m figuring out how to creatively accomplish a wardrobe and style that can accommodate and compromise for this contrast. I actually really like that you bought pieces you love first and then made the room for them. I declared a bunch of things and then went shopping… I ended up buying pieces I didn’t really love and I’m now reselling. In the past, I used to do one-in-one,out and it worked really well for me! I need to adopt that again

We have very similar taste and I’d happily wear any of your items…but unfortunately I’m a size or two larger and I’m much shorter than you! I love the multicoloured coat, it’s so unusual and I wonder whether you’ll regret parting with it as it’s unlikely you’d never be able to get another one like it? The “stupid shape” jumper looked so nice on you teamed with the scarf, the colour tone definitely suits you skin. I was calling out to you to wear the linen dress with peddle pushers in the summer or to chop it off for a shorter top, but then you modelled it tucked up and (I hope) you kept it. Great folding on the jumpers btw. 🧡😃💐

I bought a fabric shaver and it worked wonderfully to remove the pilling from my sweaters.
