Edwin Wolfe 1893-1983 , Rochester , New York.
Mr. Wolfe met Mr.Gurdjieff via Orage when Orage was giving his talks at the sunwise turn bookstore in New York. He (Wolfe) then went on to work closely with Mr. Gurdjieff for the best part of twenty years. Mr. Wolfe worked as an actor until founding his own group after Mr. Gurdjieff's death in New York , the New York foundation.
Mr. Wolfe's major work is entitled episodes with Gurdjieff (published in 1974) in which he recorded the master's ideas and methods of work as he witnessed them himself. They are mainly vignettes , which contain a number of astonishing first hand experiences with Mr..Gurdjieff

Funny , when we were recording the video Mr. Gurdjieff's presence was keenly felt in the room. As if he were there. An indescribable sensation. As though one had entered another dimension.

Yes. The material is precious. More precious than tongue can ever tell.
The old man with the white hair and the ribbon across his chest actually saw something during the reading. Something that penetrated him to the quick and reduced him to tears. And it is this "seeing" something that transforms one's being and directly connects one to the source of the teaching.

Amazing and hysterical. I shudder to contemplate the state of present-day food if Gurdjieff was denigrating it so many years ago and I'm curious about his diet.
"I have good food here. This is for you now. The other , more important food , you take with you forever."

In the chapter read here , Gurdjieff says that if America destroys itself in the future , it will be because of food and sex. Mr. Gurdjieff was a bit of a soothsayer

Worm? Are you perhaps refering to those intestinal worms which arise in the digestive tract of the three-brained beings of the Earth after ingesting that deformed, polished, scraped, combed, and smoothed prosphora? You must be, surely, as that is what is read in the video that you just watched.
