I'm 290 hours in, my first looter shooter, compared to lost ark it's really chill at the moment. No dailies, I can grind progression materials at my leisure. No weekly daily lock outs. I never feel like I'm missing out for not logging in. No lobby simulator. Really good experience so far.
Yeah, you just get to grind what you want when you want and all your grinds have and endpoint. I'm however now starting to feel the pain of not enough exp when a big part of what I want to do is resets.
After 130 hours, I only got 1 activator, which I have not used yet. I basically am using Gley and thundercage all the time because I don't have the items to use more variety, which is very annoying and causing a little burnout. I have beaten everything, so that's cool, but I would like variety, and it's annoying. My friends are constantly getting activators, but hey, it is what it is.
as this game mirrors War frame its easy to predict future systems, in that all those double ups of codes and other descendant resources would later be sold for in game currency via an auction house so im saving them for now but i still dont like the RNG within RNG to get some items
The trick to making your grind loop worth while is to double dip and triple dip. Lets say I want Esiemo descendant and his research parts. Esiemo cells drops from amorphous material 059. Also the Energy activator blueprint, Enduring legacy blueprint and Python nano tube. So I am doing Hard Kingstone Slumber valley with my level 35 Lepic and my level 1 tamer that I used a crystal earlier to reset. I get the 059 amorphous material, I level up my descendant and weapon. Then I beat Hard Executioner to roll for Esiemo cells, energy activator blueprint, Enduring legacy blueprint and Python nano tube. Its hedging your bets and even if the thing I dont need the Ultimate Lepic part its not wasted time as the double dipping and aquired gold and kuiper and other stuff makes it worth.
Yeah, I'm mostly doing that. Mostly just targeting one thing to craft and seeing what drops other things I want. I unironically farmed Lepics 6% drop off a drop before the divine punishment blueprint at a 32% chance lol. So I switched to I think its #15 since it had 3 things I wanted. And while I did get my DP blueprint, I got about 10 Smithereens nano tubes. This shotgun is a curse.

To a degree, agreeable. But Lost Ark legitimately calls their dailies and weeklies homework and the idea of spending more than minimum time on a raid makes the average player foam at the mouth.
Sadly, you do on hard mode. It's not double drop at that point it is dropping 2 different amorphous, one from the base and 1 from bonus. Meaning some drops and better rates are locked by either having a shared on team or not.
great game for shutting of your brain for couple hours and chase stuff (210hrs in so far) , my opinion is trading is not going to work most players have got tons stuff that they do not need or already unlock (looking at you normal descendant parts) like i have 5 freyna 100 % codes and unlocked first week of launch . currently chasing my 4 ult descendant. by the way you have to play every decendant even the normal ones if you want mastery leveling .
Oh yeah, I forgot they were talking about trading before. And now they're talking about an exchange shop iirc. Which seems like a potential better option because even with trading there will be too much of some things. And yeah, normies you just one and done for mastery and well use for chaos farm.
Yeah I've stated in other videos I didn't like this game's grind and got blasted about not liking grind in a Korean grind game. Not all grind is equal. My problem is with a lot of this game is uninteresting grind. Then when drop rates even up to 20% fail you constantly you almost always lost all that time to nothing. It's not challenging, you're forced to play other descendants, and hours feel wasted without having had any fun because I got my 10th copy of a descendant blueprint
You deliberately skipped the boosters in the strore which is pay to win. Let's be honest 30% gain on kuiper, gold, exp, translates to saving time, and paying for convenience is always p2w.

I only said there is no power exclusive to the shop. If there is a cash shop in any game of course swipers will have the advantage.
Yeah, atm I havent like been too despair yet because I've been very two trick on Bunny/Gley with thundercage. But I feel like I'm gonna start to feel it on the gold here soon as now I'm starting to setup Ult Lepic/Valby and Viessa enough for a good poly farm build once she finishes her craft.
Yeah very mid game , biggest problem which i have with it is weapon sound !! Just compair rifle shot of lost ark GS and this game , its so bad !! ( listen with a natural headphone and amp/dac.)

@GhoulSolo___ it's how much it is to rush for me in this game. I play warframe, and I gladly wait, but if I want to rush it's not crazy on plat. 15 dollars to rush the equivalent of a oroking reactor and catalyst is crazy.
So you played the game 6 hours a day on average. Thats your problem. Most people dont have 6 hours a day to spend on any game. If you are bored thats your fault. Play less.

200 hours in and I'm exhuasted from drop rates
60h in. I like it but God the materials are hard to grind. It took me 2 full hours to get 1 complete set of thunder cage. and I need 2 more sets.
it came out less than a month ago youre playing like a fulltime job
I overall wish drops had more sources. Especially like thundercage in the comments. So you can always target multiple things at a time.

you don't have to do stealth, that just gives you a chance for double amorphous drops. maybe not as fun but definitely worth it.

Yeah, generally all the ones that have an ult descendant piece on a HM drop is locked behind stealth only.
For now only viessa i think. Ulti ajax, lepic, bunny n gley amorpus doesn't need sharen.
Regular characters into ultimate versions of same character should be a thing
Yeah, I would love to invest into Frenya or Valby prior to ults. But I have guns that can use those cats/activators. So that's a no go for me.
