- Here is the cheapest and easiest way to make a feather burner. Using a rectifier from a model train and some resistance wire you can cut feathers to any size, shape, or profile you want. This will cut the cost of buying precut feathers and lets you customize your arrows. If you make your own arrows and have been using a chopper or buying feathers this could be a good option for you.

Nice work. We shared this video on our homemade tools forum this week 😎
Thanks for the video. I often thought about trying to make one from an old toaster.
That’s a good idea. I’ve heard of people using microwave parts but never a toaster. Seems like it would be easy to convert to a feather burner.
Kick ass job, Ty
Merci superbe idée
Nice, been thinkin about doin this for awhile and wondered if a train transformer would work since I have some from back when I was a kid. Definitely inspired me to dig it out and build one now... 😉
That’s great. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. Good luck with yours
Pretty good
Thanks
Well Done!
@@Tercelredtail thank you
You could have easily done that bandsaw cut with a hand hacksaw
You definitely could.
solder the connections.
Solder and NiCr wire aren't a good idea. The solder will melt as soon as it gets hot.
