I know this is about essential workers and not a complete production guide, but just a few additional tips that might be of use for someone: -Lullu speeds up crops growth while at base, and this effect stacks. I personally like having two Lullus + Verdash at my base, they manage crops at an extremely fast pace while being smaller than Lyleen and having less pathing issues. -Similarly to Lullu, Shroomers are great to keep at the mining base. While they aren't as fast lumberers as Bushi, they constantly restore SAN of every pal at the base. The effect also stacks, so you can have for example a Bushi along with two Shroomers. The game doesn't require use of that much wood, so at some point they start heavily overproducing anyway. -If you hate using large pals, Sootseer and Elphidran Aqua are great alternatives for Jormuntides. At 4* condensing, Sootseer acquires kindling lv4 and Elphidran Aqua acquires lv4 watering, which is equivalent to non-condensed Jormuntides. That, and in combo with Work slave/Artisan/Serious/Lucky traits, both become very fast workers, while small and not getting stuck anywhere. Nice bonus is that Sootseer is naturally nocturnal. -Work speed affects cooling by a lot. Preserving food can especially become a struggle when you're only just starting, and don't have enough resources and work capacity for baking tons of cakes. You can get cooling lv3 though without doing any breeding at all. Let Vixies produce some free spheres for you, and go on a catching spree at Wild Sanctuary n.1. Penking is extremely common and easy to catch, acquires lv3 cooling upon condensing to 4*
as someone who's just getting in Palworld with my mate, I really do appreciate this guide. Short and concise, all the information you may want with nothing you don't care about and an easy to screenshot "cheat sheet" to summarise it all. I mean... *chef's kiss* if ever, sub well earned
lots of ppl saying it but i just wanted to let you know this video was amazing. really easy to understand with helpful example clips. this right here is quality bro
Love your Palworld videos! I got back into the game three days ago, and the tips you're sharing have been super helpful for improving my gameplay. Thanks a ton from Brazil, man!
Dude, thank you. It’s seriously so helpful to not only have the combinations for getting helpful pals but also all the extra info you give simply so it can all be understood from one straight through watch. Great vid
Very good list. Only thing I'd add would be just breed a orzerk with nocturnal. A level 5 electricity stat puts out x10 the power instead of the x5 of a level 4.
@@Symoh1 Good to know! I only had to breed a single Artisan/Work Slave/Serious/Nocturnal anubis, and I am using that to cross breed everything else on your list. I'm not sure what I will use when I get to astegon since nocturnal would be a wasted passive, but I'm also incredibly lazy so I might just pass it off to him anyway lol.
Haha, same. I'm too lazy to fully optimize everything which also why I'm waiting a bit to make that video lol. For your Astegon, you could go with Lucky or swift.
for the ingot production line, i use the area with coal and ore nodes on a "pillar", i build a pyramid using roofs and floors in a 3 by 3 arrangement and put my electric furnaces on the top. this way Jorgmantide Ignis can reach all 4 of them easily despite his size.
@@Symoh1 You deserve it! You made a great guide. My friends and I just started a new world, and I’ve been looking for guides to help us out. Yours was clear and easy to follow, without any extra fluff. I’ll be keeping an eye out for more from you!
I havent played since it first came out on xbox, now that's its on PlayStation I want to go for all the trophy on this play through. Its awesome to see how much this game has evolved since its first launch. But now I need to re-learn a few things haha
you can just breed nocturnal onto orserk, and he is significantly better than helzephyr lux. pretty much the best setup for most pals if you dont use the monitoring stand to overwork them is: artisan, serious, workslave, and nocturnal. if its a pal that needs to move around the base some, you can always swap out serious for swift. generally i dont care about my anubus being able to work at night time, so i let them use swift, artisan, serious, workslave. if its a dark type, they already come with nocturnal, so for astegons, frotsallion noct, ect i use swift, artisan, serious, workslave. i dont know if it helps or not, but since wood isnt all that important, i just use shroomers with nocturnal or shroomer noct on my lumber mill, because supposedly their passive helps keep pals happy and reduces sanity loss. although ive never tested how well it works, i just use them as my lumberers, just in case it is actually useful. if you like using the monitoring stand, and overworking your pals, just swap out one of the skills for workaholic instead. ive personally never had a need to overwork pals since i just play single player, and once you get a proper setup, they will provide you with more than enough resources at regular speeds, and there is no need to overwork them, and worrying about their sanity dropping and causing injuries. especially you are able to afk in your base for a few hours every now and then.
Yo, thankyou, honestly gonna help me tonnes in my aolo playthrough, my majour issue early on is my ingot production slowing everything down from levelling due to lack of spheres to crafting better gear, me and a buddy of mine soent 2 hours gathering wnough resources and then crafting stuff for about 30 minutes of use 😂
Personally, glutton never bothered me that much, but a lot of people don't seem to like it. I plan on making an updated video that focuses more on optimization.
To get around the stop work issue with non dark pals. I just breed them with nocturnal. Might take some extra cross breeding, but I find it well worth the extra effort
Interesting. I haven't run into any bugs when breeding. Are the Pals you're trying to breed the same gender maybe? If for some reason Celaray+Relaxaurus is glitched for you, try Vanwyrm+Cinnamoth, or Chillet+Elizabee, Nitewing+Rayhound, Tombat+Sweepa...there's a ton more combos if you dont have these pals. Just checkout the breeding calculator on Palworld.gg. Hope this helps.
Prixter(Anubis+Orserk) is technically better than Bushi Noct. It's got the same Lumbering and is also a Dark type, but it's got a faster movement speed which decreases its downtime. Orserk with 3 Work Speed traits and Nocturnal is so much better than Helzephyr Lux with 4 Work Speed traits that it isn't even funny. The only reason to use Helzephyr Lux over Orserk is if it's a lower power requirement base that will leave either with a lot of downtime, because it's a better Transport Pal than Orserk is. This video also seems to be missing Vanwyrm(Rayhound+Anubis)/Vanwyrm Cryst(Vanwyrm+Foxcicle) and Knocklem(Lyleen+Relaxaurus or Beakon+either Jormuntide) as the best Transport Pals, and Shroomer(Anubis+Celaray)/Shroomer Noct(Shroomer+Rayhound) and Lullu(Jormuntide Ignis+Teafant) as important supports to your other base Pals. The aforementioned Vanwyrm Cryst can also make due as your Cooling Pal until you get your hands on a Nocturnal Frostalion. *Edit:* Oh, I tried to make all the breeding use either Pals from your breeding list or my own suggestions, but Foxcicle isn't in either. Foxcicle can be made for this setup with Vanwyrm+Celaray
Great points. I appreciate you taking the time to type all that. I did forget a couple of things like Shroomer and Lulu, but this video was geared more towards beginners and starter bases to give them a jump start on the essentials. I plan on making a similar video later that focuses on optimization.

I liked this video since it made it simple enough to know what pals to circle with in a breeding base, but one question, what is Oil Extraction that you show on Astegon? Is that an old ability he used to have or something?
Thanks! Sorry about the confusion. The oil extraction isn't a thing. I think they were planning on adding it but went in a different direction. I started working on this video shortly after the Sakurajima update, and the websites I was using for research had it listed, so I thought it was something I had missed. I forgot to go back and fix the graphic later.
I fought my first jetragon with a jormuntide, because it was a tank and his moves were blocking the movement, and also because i was using its body as a shield

I was wondering how I could make the perfect combat pal. I was searching online about how to get the perfect traits to a pal; there are info but it seems complicated and couldn't find a good video on it sadly, writing this here cause your explanation and editing are super clean and this might be a good video idea for you :D
This has nothing to do with the video, but can someone tell me what I am doing wrong? My pals randomly just pick up items and drop them off at the edge of the base. They have access to all my boxes, so it cant be bc of that. Im just really confused, bc I dont think im doing anything wrong.
Could be multiple things... 1. You may have lots of pals with Transporting + others jobs, and they keep getting distracted before finishing the job. Use the monitoring stand to turn transporting off from all except one like anubis. 2. Your box placements. You can use the settings on each box to narrow down which items you want in them. They could be trying to reach a particular box that already has that item in it, but it may be spread out, so they have to travel a lot. 3. Maybe a glitch. I've personally never encountered it in the way you described. Try switching out pals or adjust your box placements so they don't have to travel a lot. Hope this helps :)

Prioritizing Shadowbeak is fine and looks like this: Chillet + Vanwyrm = Rayhound + Mossanda = Grizbolt Jorm + Lyleen = Relax + Grisbolt = *Orserk* + Grisbolt = *Astegon* Verdash + Vanwyrm = Kitsun + Astegon = Shadowbeak after that I like to add these: Chillet + Rayhound = Foxicle + Vanwyrm = *Van Cryst* (cooling) Griz + Astegon = Helzephyr, then Griz + Lyleen = Beakon + Helzephyr = *Helz Lux* (Transporting) Petalia + Orserk/Astegon = *Wumpo* (lumbering) or alternatively you could do Chillet + Vanwyrm = Shroomer noct (lumbering) as the SAN buff is real strong especially in a mining base.
Nice. Great list. Love the addition of Shroomer noct too. Personally, glutton never bothered me that much. I found the 10% drop is manageable because of how much the production goes up, and as the base eventually starts to run itself, I hardly even noticed it.
Hi wonderful video! Extremely helpful. Returning player from Xbox to PS and I wanted to research stuff like this before starting again. Just wondering something about breeding times: How long does it usually take for pals to produces eggs? Is the same for everyone or longer for rarer ones? And how long? Please and thank you 🙏
I primarily play on PC but as far as I know the breeding times are the same across the board. You can adjust the settings for your egg hatch time though. Even make it 0 so it hatches instantly.
To be honest i bought this game 2 days ago, and i like it but now when you show this.... Omg im hyped and im Old and still im hyped to play more... And i have no time to play...
Hey, you're a gamer. It's awesome that you're hyped and enjoying the game. What does age have anything to do with being hyped lol. I feel your pain on having no time to play.
Yep never bother with the Berry plantations I always just grab a caprity as soon as I can.... although on my lucky pal only challenge world I have yet to see one so base food is provided by a lucky chikapea instead just fried the eggs up afk until I finally got ahold of a lucky Rooby.
Interesting. I haven't actually tested it, but I didn't think caprity produced enough berries to compete with the berry plantations so I never bothered using it much. There's so many better ranch pals to use.
@@Symoh1 All the berries I use for early food and later cake production are more than covered by a single caprity.... as in on my main world I regularly start 2 electric ovens filled with 100 cakes each and a pair of jorm ignis cooking and I have thousands of berries again by the time I'm ready to start my next few batches of cake. 1 pal slot for Berry production as opposed to having both a growing/planting pal and a watering pal for it so they focus on growing wheat, tomatoes and lettuce instead.
@@AtomicOwl Unfortunately, as of right now, there is no way. The only alternative is to use smaller pals. If the size really bothers you, then you can condense a pal that has lvl 3 kindling like Sootseer, faleris, ragnahawk, suzaku to 4 stars and they'll get to lvl 4 kindling. Same for watering, you can go with Azurobe, Suzaku Aqua, Elphidran Aqua.
Bushi & Penking together also breed Anubis. Both you can acquire early in game through mini boss fights. Alpha Penking level 15 while Alpha Bushi is level 23.
Imma stop you. Start with 3 that are easier. And since dire howl is super easy to catch and really common. It's super easy to get the 4 traits you want and start from there. Plus none of these have a terrible passive like gluttony to set you back you’re better off. Direhowl+Nitewing=Rayhound Nitewing+Rayhound=Anubis(Handiwork 4) Anubis+sparkit=Verdash Anubis+Verdash=Petallia Anubis+Nitewing=Azurobe Anubis+Rayhound=Vanwyrm Anubis+Vanwyrm=Felaris (fastest mover in the game) Falaris+Azurobe=Mossanda Mossanda+Petallia=Lyleen (growing 4) Lyleen+Falaris=Jormantide (Water 4) Direhowl+Falaris=Blazehowl Jormantide+Blazehowl=Jormantide Ignis (Kindiling 4) Mossanda+Rayhound=Grizzbolt Grizzbolt+Falaris=Relaxaurus(one not held back by gluttonous) Relaxaurus+Grizzbolt=Orserk (electric 4) Grizzbolt+Orserk=(Astegon Mine 4)
I think if you get nocturnal trait on some of these pals you can negate the dark typing for some, yet the only downside is you are taking away a trait to work twice as long, which could be either a downside or upside with how you view it
You can just breed randomly from pals with good buffs. Like R1 with Artisan + R2 with workslave, R3 with noctunal+R4 with serious and so on. it may seem to waste some cake but it really is not that much. Since some working pals can breed with many formulas. You will get good parents with good buff. So focus on buff, not pal types.
The only use for a high level cooling work is that Refrigerated Crusher thing, but its so late game that most of the players wouldn't even use it I believe.
I only wish a first-time youtuber and the very first video of his entire life had that much of an impact lol. But in my defense I started working on this like 3 months ago and it 95% complete weeks before the whole thing started.
@@Symoh1 well palworld has had some controversiary surrounding it cause of the pals looking close to pokemon, and nintendo is building a case to try and sue(supposedly), and calling them pokemon names is likely just giving them more fuel to actually get the game shut down
Subbed. This was super helpful Only thing I am curios about now is if there are any easy way breeding a Relaxaurus. All the wild one have glutton which is 💩💩
One way is to look up what combos make relaxaurus and breed those 2 pals first. Honestly, I wouldn't worry too much about it. You get such a big boost to production with these pals that 10% debuff is not that noticeable. Over time, as you get more cake, you can keep breeding until you get the skills you like.
Not true, you need electricity to run the assembly lines which unlock at like level 26. Getting a pal with only electricity uses up a slot. Pals like Orserk, Helzephyr Lux, Grizzbolt can charge it up quickly then work on other things. Plus, you can only catch orserk at Santuary No.3 which is like level 40+.
I know this is about essential workers and not a complete production guide, but just a few additional tips that might be of use for someone:

I wish i would have known you could breed jorm ignis. I spent hours at that volcano searching for that egg.
Hey, now you know for your next playthrough.
Relax is a tough sell for me, having to deal with Glutton costs eggs and is a pain early on. I built the same system using Tombat, Gumoss, Chillet and Azurobe, with Azurobe being the hardest to get.
Here it is in short:
Gumoss + Tombat = Verdash. Verdash is probably the best starter pal: Gathering is a Cake Bottleneck and Verdash is basically level 2 in everything else.
Chillet + Azurobe = Vanwyrm + Azurobe = *Anubis* + Vanwyrm = Felaris
Azurobe + Felaris = Mossanda
Tombat + chillet = Petallia + Mossanda = *Lyleen* + Faleris = *Jormuntide*
Verdash + Mossanda = Blazehowl + Jormuntide = *Jorm Ignis*
From there you can do whatever you want. You will have Vanyrm for transporting and the "Big 4" for work suitability.
Prioritizing Shadowbeak is fine and looks like this:
Chillet + Vanwyrm = Rayhound + Mossanda = Grizbolt
Jorm + Lyleen = Relax + Grisbolt = *Orserk* + Grisbolt = *Astegon*
Verdash + Vanwyrm = Kitsun + Astegon = Shadowbeak
after that I like to add these:
Chillet + Rayhound = Foxicle + Vanwyrm = *Van Cryst* (cooling)
Griz + Astegon = Helzephyr, then Griz + Lyleen = Beakon + Helzephyr = *Helz Lux* (Transporting)
Petalia + Orserk/Astegon = *Wumpo* (lumbering)
or alternatively you could do Chillet + Vanwyrm = Shroomer noct (lumbering) as the SAN buff is real strong especially in a mining base.
Nice. Great list. Love the addition of Shroomer noct too. Personally, glutton never bothered me that much. I found the 10% drop is manageable because of how much the production goes up, and as the base eventually starts to run itself, I hardly even noticed it.
Awesome video, super helpful and really clean, concise method of presentstion. Great work!
Thank you!
Thank you
Ty so much fot the video it helpt me. were much ty😁
You are welcome!
Hi wonderful video! Extremely helpful. Returning player from Xbox to PS and I wanted to research stuff like this before starting again. Just wondering something about breeding times:
How long does it usually take for pals to produces eggs? Is the same for everyone or longer for rarer ones? And how long? Please and thank you 🙏
I primarily play on PC but as far as I know the breeding times are the same across the board. You can adjust the settings for your egg hatch time though. Even make it 0 so it hatches instantly.
@@Symoh1 and by default ?
@@omercohen4647 by default each egg size has different hatch times
@@sui2879 i see can we get vid on that or it out of the question ?
Sure. I'm planning on making more guide videos with tips ranging from beginner to advanced. One of those will cover the egg incubators.
A really good guide only thing that sucks is getting the same gender having to rebreed another gender for them to breed
Thank you! And that's definitely true. A bit of luck on getting the right gender is definitely a factor.
Omg I was over thinking the breeding 😂 the combinations are too easy
Haha, yeah. The sheer number of breeding combinations available definitely makes it seem like it is more complicated than it is.
pikachu on steriods is just hits hard 💀
Basically gigachad Pikachu 💪⚡👍
OMG! 14days ago i read bout jorm ignis : you need to find them as egg, cant obtain with breeding.... now im very upset...
That used to be the case. They changed that a few months ago. What you read could've been from when the game first launched.
Great video. Very succinct
Thank you!
Others : whats perfection?
Me: Bros vdos
Lol thanks!
Thank you so much this helped
Game became 10x easier once I got Anubis
Nice. Easily the best pal in the game.
Fun fact: You can also get red berries from caprity when assigned to ranch
Edit: Also whats the best way to breed dazemu
palworld.gg/breeding-calculator
Click on "Find all breeding combinations for a pal" and select Dazemu.
@@Symoh1
All the berries I use for early food and later cake production are more than covered by a single caprity.... as in on my main world I regularly start 2 electric ovens filled with 100 cakes each and a pair of jorm ignis cooking and I have thousands of berries again by the time I'm ready to start my next few batches of cake.
1 pal slot for Berry production as opposed to having both a growing/planting pal and a watering pal for it so they focus on growing wheat, tomatoes and lettuce instead.
Nice. I've been thinking of doing a new playthrough soon. I might try the Caprity route.
Ay man i appreciate this vid, was wondering how i was gonna get more effective at breeding the pals for workers
Thanks! I'm glad it was helpful.
Is there a way to get some of the bigger pals to be smaller @Symoh1
@@AtomicOwl Unfortunately, as of right now, there is no way. The only alternative is to use smaller pals. If the size really bothers you, then you can condense a pal that has lvl 3 kindling like Sootseer, faleris, ragnahawk, suzaku to 4 stars and they'll get to lvl 4 kindling. Same for watering, you can go with Azurobe, Suzaku Aqua, Elphidran Aqua.
best of luck buddy
Thanks!
Bushi & Penking together also breed Anubis. Both you can acquire early in game through mini boss fights. Alpha Penking level 15 while Alpha Bushi is level 23.
True. Anubis has lots of great combos with many pals from the early game.
Put a jetragon in ur base havent done the numbers myself but im getting way more oil than i should
Interesting. I didn't know it could affect oil. If you do any testing and figure something out, I would love to learn about it.
@Symoh1 there used to be lvl 4 oil production on jetdragon. They removed it sonce but i believe its still active just doesnt tell u
@@aaroningram2953 so it's probably safe to say it's just a glitch
Helzephyr Noct doesn't exist. You probably meant Helzephyr Lux?
Yes, my bad lol.
Imma stop you. Start with 3 that are easier. And since dire howl is super easy to catch and really common. It's super easy to get the 4 traits you want and start from there. Plus none of these have a terrible passive like gluttony to set you back you’re better off.
Direhowl+Nitewing=Rayhound
Nitewing+Rayhound=Anubis(Handiwork 4)
Anubis+sparkit=Verdash
Anubis+Verdash=Petallia
Anubis+Nitewing=Azurobe
Anubis+Rayhound=Vanwyrm
Anubis+Vanwyrm=Felaris (fastest mover in the game)
Falaris+Azurobe=Mossanda
Mossanda+Petallia=Lyleen (growing 4)
Lyleen+Falaris=Jormantide (Water 4)
Direhowl+Falaris=Blazehowl
Jormantide+Blazehowl=Jormantide Ignis (Kindiling 4)
Mossanda+Rayhound=Grizzbolt
Grizzbolt+Falaris=Relaxaurus(one not held back by gluttonous)
Relaxaurus+Grizzbolt=Orserk (electric 4)
Grizzbolt+Orserk=(Astegon Mine 4)
Great list! Thanks. I plan on making an updated video later and this will be useful.
Great vdo brooo❤
Nice vid.
Thank you!
Thanks for info
No problem
I think if you get nocturnal trait on some of these pals you can negate the dark typing for some, yet the only downside is you are taking away a trait to work twice as long, which could be either a downside or upside with how you view it
Good point. I forgot to include that in the video. Nocturnal would definitely be a plus in mid-late game with higher quality foods.
I just farm salad. Healthy food for my 0 wage workers 😂😂
Bro this channel got only 2 vids😢😢
Almost done with the next one :)
Thank you very much! This was very helpful 🙏🏻
You are very welcome, and thank you.
Did they recently add that to the game like be able to breed jormuntide ignis
Yes, I think so, but I'm not sure when.
@@Symoh1 oh yh tru cuz I tried doin it before when the game first came out and I couldn't
I think it was in the update that added Bellanoir.
The table is a nice touch
Thanks!
Super didatic. Nice.😊
Thank you!
Good point.
You sound very similar to JustSomeGuy 🤔
Haha, wasn't familiar with him. Just watched a video of his, and I can see why you would say that :)
oh don't forget the new humanoid planet fey from the update buffs grow rates for crops
Good point. I'll probably make another video in the future with an updated list.
@Symoh1 yea alot of the new passives are great
The only use for a high level cooling work is that Refrigerated Crusher thing, but its so late game that most of the players wouldn't even use it I believe.
I agree. Hopefully they add more things to it because I only used it a few times too. Didn't need it that much.
pretty sure these are the type of videos that are going to make things worse by purposefully calling pals pokemon names
Yeah, it really is. But I dunno man. Plus, something is weird about this video. Also yeah, I wish people stopped doing thay
On a joking note, I named my Sparkit PikCATchu.
I only wish a first-time youtuber and the very first video of his entire life had that much of an impact lol. But in my defense I started working on this like 3 months ago and it 95% complete weeks before the whole thing started.
Genuine question...what's weird about this video? I just started learning video editing a few months, so all of this is very new to me.
@@Symoh1 well palworld has had some controversiary surrounding it cause of the pals looking close to pokemon, and nintendo is building a case to try and sue(supposedly), and calling them pokemon names is likely just giving them more fuel to actually get the game shut down
u forgot blaze hawle and jormintide makes jomintide ignis
Lol I did not. I mention it in the video as well as the chart. It's the only combination that makes Jormuntide ignis.
Subbed. This was super helpful
Only thing I am curios about now is if there are any easy way breeding a Relaxaurus.
Electricity is only necessary late in the game why not go and catch Orzerk?
Not true, you need electricity to run the assembly lines which unlock at like level 26. Getting a pal with only electricity uses up a slot. Pals like Orserk, Helzephyr Lux, Grizzbolt can charge it up quickly then work on other things. Plus, you can only catch orserk at Santuary No.3 which is like level 40+.
