    750 miles later and it’s still fine with only the filter changed. Dodged a bullet!

      And to follow up even more, I’m now 3,000 miles on and still all is well.

    Had the same problem with my 996 40th Anniversary and it ended up being the fuel pump and sending unit.

      It’s a pretty short list of what it could be when that happens. I got lucky with the cheap way out it seams.

    the filter prob never changed and started to collapse when you have had one of those apart you know very little crap can get to the pump which has a filter on ... the fuel pump in my carrera 4s is the same as a BMW X5 uk £25 porsche £450

      I was very happy that it was only the filter that needed changing!

    .. fuel pump changed .. ordered a relay maybe filter is next

      Yeah filter was all it took on mine fortunately. Not too bad a job really.
