I lived up in the White Mountians for 31 years and loved it. My job had me on the road all over Apache and Navajo counties and your videos have brought back a lot of memories. Thank you. I actually learned some new things about some of the towns.

Hi elcharis, I'm glad you enjoyed them. I have had family up there my whole life and it almost feels like home each time I visit. Thanks for sharing and have a great week!

There would have been trees on those big, open, plains -- but the ranchers cut them all down so the grass would grow to feed the livestock. It's also easier to keep track of your herd if you have a clear line of sight

Hi Peggy, I didn't realize they did that. That makes sense now that you mention it. Thanks for sharing and have a great week!

And then your photography had me totally hooked. If I ever forget to compliment your photographs, it's an oversight. Both color and black and white photos.

When the kids were younger and we, the family, would take a road trip. When we would drive past an old house, like ones on your pictures. We would tell the kids. Look there's our next home. Then of course, they started doing it also. Such a fond memory.

Part 3 😊 Pretty sure I've said I'm from Wisconsin. Arizona has been calling me for years... unfortunately my wife and grandchildren do not share my desire. Cruising down the roads with you help feed my craving. Thanks for another wonderful trip. Also the lake is beautiful. Hoping one day I'm there in person. See ya later.

Welcome back to Arizona, the sole reason your channel caught my attention. Love all the old buildings, equipment and miscellaneous items. To be continued I'm just getting to the lake now.

Hi Carl, I am glad to be back. I enjoyed my trip to Texas, but there's no place like home. Have a good day and we'll see ya on the next one.

Great video, Randy. I lived in St. John’s in the early 60’s. The town then was thriving. My cousin and I would go to the Drugstore (now a gym and thrift shop) and get real cherry colas and ice cream. I cought my first fish in Lyman Lake.

Have you been to Shakespeare NM, right outside of Lordsburg, also Steins.
Oh yeah, Bill Evans Lake, off Hwy 180, down the road from Gila NM. My parents had a little ranch on the 180,,,, 😢 it's now known as TW Looney Timber
