- Got a new Samsung TV and want to receive OTA over the air programming but have no idea what the signal strength is for each channel in your area? We will take you step by step on how to view the signal strength through your Samsung TV. If you are in a hurry go to 2:37 and you'll learn the shortcut.
Also TVFOOL.COM is a great resource for discovering available tv channels in your area.
Excellent! Thank you. Cutting the cable is getting easier.
In our area we have 25 digital channels off air, and we're in a town of 5K, plus hundreds that are free through Samsung TVPlus, Pluto, Roku and others. Add to that a few subscription channels and there is no need to send a check to the cable company. Thanks for watching.
I have samsung smart tv, signal information is grayed out, it is unable to scan digital tv channels while analog channels are playing very well & on same cable connection digial tv channels are scanned on stb
How I can change the strength of my channels ?
The signal can not be changed on the TV, only the antenna, cables, connectors determines the signal strength at the tv. If the signal is weak make sure everything that brings the signal to the tv are in good condition, if not replace. After that you might consider re aiming antenna, or purchasing a larger antenna. You also need to know what bands the channels are on that you want to receive UHF, VHF or both, as this also determines the type of antenna one needs. In addition you need to know in what directions the different tv transmitter are at. A signal booster is good if your getting a signal and it just needs some amplification to work on your tv, but they're not miracle workers. Hope this helps.
it's my HDMI that having problem the signal it always shows me no signal
The measured signal strength is from the antenna. If there is distance and/or terrain issues than the signal could fluctuate with weather. I live in an area that presents both issues, had to get the antenna as high as possible, as big as possible, and am using a pre-amp to boost the signal. All this almost eliminates the "no signal" message, but it will appear in severe storms. The HDMI should not cause an error unless it is bad or it not rated for TV use.
Thanks for watching.
