What a beauty! The fact that this was your grandpa's truck makes it so special to me. I never got to meet my grandparents.
I recently lost my Grandpa, He had an '81 Silverado that he bought new and used it on the farm also. It was always garage kept and still is to this day. I dream of owning it one day. Thank you for sharing your story.
Great story and beautiful truck...wonderful execution of your vision! Love it.
I’m literally doing the same thing with my grandads 65 right now! Nicely done
more go than show, right on. Thats the point. Love the color
What an amazing tribute. He'd be stoked that you've done what you've done, what a weapon 👏👏👏👍
I rounded it up!! 800 BABY!!
I love that this truck build has a fantastic story behind it. great job. And as far as the "ugly duckling" comment. this is my favorite body style, followed by the 73-87 square bodies.
BEAUTIFUL truck!!! Love the video brother!!!
Wise choice losing the long bed and going to a short bed...badass truck dude..
gdub454 long beds are better and at this point rarer cause half have been converted to short bed
@@yamahaguy1732 said no one ever. 🤣🤣🤣 long beds are parts trucks. Who you kidding?
@@Houmanian long beds look good lowered stock and lifted. Short beds only look right lowered.
@@yamahaguy1732 I agree with you on that one. Long beds do look better lifted versus the shorties. I was just kidding with you earlier trying to make you laugh. As long as it has a bowtie in the front, you got my attention. Happy New Year!
Love the truck and love the story. Great job!
Very Nice 👍🏻 Well I see it was a Long bed to begin with
bro thank you a lot for showing me your car.. fuckin smoking hot pick up .... badass.
Big Respect from Switzerland. sick shit right here.

Badass truck bro 👌
Jo
I Know Just FELL IN Love
Freakin awesome job 👍👍
Really cool truck!!
I love your build on it, you had great ideas. I have a LS swapped 65 C10 that is similar, though I plan to do some upgrades & may use some of your ideas like your serpentine belt system, brake system & bed cover; can you offer me any advice? I bought it years ago because my dad had one just like it when I was young.
Awesome
"....they know I wasn't bullshittin'....."
all that work and couldn't fix that body line?
fuckin sweet though
Agreed on the body line. ALL that spent on the truck and it really does take away what is otherwise an awesome truck.Body panels never did fit well from factory but c'mon, that would drive me crazy but I guess James doesn't mind. Would LOVE to have the truck but that would have get fixed for me. And yes I do have a 64 big window short bed fleet side that is a rotisserie restoration in progress and those damn panels are exactly where I am at, lol .
I know right! All that money and you couldn't align the damn door. Come on now
el chargerino it looks like the door was not closed all the way that's why I looks so off 🤔
I wonder if he has the oem frame
Good stock
Good story, and nice old truck
nice, really nice
what size are the wheels
love it
What size wheel do you have
These are 19x10 & 19x12, but we can make the RBC3 in any width or fitment between 18-22 inch diameters.
@@Forgeline with that 19×12 did you had to notch the frame
1:07 this dude is taller than his truck!!!!!
👏👏👏👏👏
Very cool truck, if you like trucks like this come check us out we will be driving one across the United States
I don't think this guy built shit. He needs to rephrase that to "bought".
