FNaF Mobile (OG Scott Cawthon Edition) [#4] - 4/20 Mode Strategy Diagram and 15% Completion

  • Also known as 20/20/20/20 Mode -- I have a Strategy Diagram as well as a completion of "4/20 Mode" here on the old old old old mobile port of the game. I really like the shorter nights on these -- I still don't like the idea of spamming out the PC version of 4/20 since it's 8m55s per attempt. However, maybe one day I'll try that again to increase my power percentage remaining. I still have a few things left to do in this mobile port (especially Easter Eggs and possible Bugs), but those videos will probably be later down the road.

I'm quite good at the following games and sports:
    - DDR (also while Juggling)
    - Five Nights at Freddy's and other Scott Cawthon games (boy is he popular these days)
    - Basketball & NBA Baller Beats
    - Running (also while Juggling)
    - Skill-based Arcade Games (e.g. Super Shot, Two Minute Drill, Cornhole, etc.)
    - Pump it Up
    - Overcooked and Overcooked 2
    - Retro:Grade
    - Build-a-Lot
    - Dungeon Defenders (but I don't really play this one anymore)
    - Several Others...
If you have requests within the games that I still play, or if you have a game that you'd like to request, feel free to request it. I usually have a pretty busy schedule, but I try to make time to relax and play some of these games. If you want more content, watch what I have so far, stay tuned for more, spread the word, or even support my work on Patreon. Thanks! :)

I'd like to say a few things to know before starting fnaf 2:
Toy Bonnie does not do a pan Animation, however he does take longer to leave the vent than anyone else.
Golden Freddy is bugged. If you simply tap the light and Golden Freddy is in the hall, he will attack anyway. There is no additional check for if the light is jammed or if there is someone at the door already, so limit your usage with the flashlight if you know GF is active.
Some renders for the cameras in the mobile version, such as Toy Bonnie in the paper plate room, Toy Freddy in the game area, puppet head peak, Easter eggs etc don't exist. It doesn't mean they aren't there, they just don't exist.
Hopefully this helps you when going into the game!

Interesting -- I wonder if the same type of things happened in the parallel version on PC, though finding that now is probably near impossible!

@@djsterf if you're talking about earlier versions of the PC version, I don't believe so. The reason the mobile version is like this is to save as much space as possible, as the old mobile runtimes for Clickteam were not optimized back then

Can't express how much I love the algebraic explanations for the power system, it really helps me to understand the programming behind the game.
I am a little confused on Foxy though, there was another breakdown where they supposedly decompiled the code. Their explanation for foxy was that simply at every movement opportunity that Foxy has, if it's true, Foxy checks whether the monitor is up or not. If it is, Foxy is 'denied' the opportunity and cannot progress.
Which system is the correct one? I've not heard of the one you mentioned, where it takes a random range and checks if the monitor was up or down. Are these two different systems for two different version of the game, or are they the same explanation and I'm just mixing it up?
Thank you for doing all the heavy lifting when it comes to figuring out these games!

    • @djsterf
      @djsterf  Год назад +3

iirc, it's basically a cooldown timer for Foxy -- camera flip = new random number. When the monitor is down, that number goes down over time until it hits 0. If 0, then it goes to the AI (basically AI / 20) as to Foxy potentially advancing a phase. You want to check the cameras so you have juice remaining at the moment of check.

Thanks for all of that info and the diagram! I'm a visual learner so it made it so much easier for me to understand. I kind of got lost a little bit, is there any chance you could quickly go through an eli5 version on a future video? Like if you were teaching a kid how to play without getting jumpscared. I love this game but I'm too afraid to ever play it 😂 my favourite version is the VR version but of course it's the scariest lol. And has different timings to this version I'm sure.

as a bit of creator feedback (just spitballing here, please take this with a grain of salt):
i think you should have a few run attempts or similar at the beginning of the video, something to get us hooked in
then follow that up with the meat of this video, so to speak, the explanation
then do a big and flashy run at the end to keep us watching
this is maybe terrible advice, but personally i think i would feel less compelled to skip to the run, and more compelled to soak in the strategy guide, with a rearranged format.

    • @djsterf
