    Thank you Mr Robert's for sharing this. And I agree, Jeff has a great channel also ans I've been educated a lot on traditional hunting from home and you. So thanks

    I've never used the Simmons heads. Mainly because they looked too hard to sharpen. You and Jeff have opened my mind to them. I've actually had good success with the narrow Grizzly heads but have not killed nearly as many critters as you have and so I appreciate your experience. Thanks for sharing.

    Robert, I had to tell you my success story this Sunday afternoon. I smoked a giant 11point buck at 12:53 from the ground with my osage/sinew bow I made couple years ago. Also made the flint arrowhead and killed the turkey that the fletching came from! Oh Robert I was thinking of ya when I was waiting for him to drop..
    He did! Thankyou for inspiring me to commit to taking my self bow instead of my ol' Sky Trophy longbow I usually use this season. Always wanted to take anything with bow&arrow that I made. Anyway thanks Robert and Jeff Phillips also for sure.

    I make and shoot Gemsbok horn bows. Forge my own broad heads. Prefer smaller myself but as a knife maker who knows edged weapons and tools the broader the better to cut a bleed channel. just stumbled across you. Love your videos

    awesome video as usual. guess that I need one of those jewel sticks for sharpening to try. One of my Osage selfbows that I made was awful yellow looking and I was hunting out of a pop up blind so I used flat black spray paint on the back. worked great. Except my last one I put Timber Rattler skin on it, won't paint it black LOL. Keep em coming.

    Great info RC....The Tree Shark has performed quite well on numerous critters....the Timber Shark still produces a massive hole and a much-enhanced blood trail...Yet, the Timber Shark has demonstrated greater penetration and durability on critters. Of my experience, the Tiger Shark leaves far less blood on the ground than the Tree Shark or Timber Shark,...individual palates may prefer a different recipe.

    Hey Mr. Carter, why not use Tree sharks? I have Tree sharks and Swamp sharks and been beating my self up over which one to use, I want a good blood trail, no tracking and preferably a pass through, which would you recommomend? im shooting 46#

    How do you index those big heads? Do you install them vertical or horizontal? Just curious as to your preference.

      I really don't pay attention to them. I don't seem to notice them as long as they are not horizontal.

    Hi Robert, have a question I just started using my tree shark's 165gr with 100gr inserts 265 total on my 28in 500 carbon arrows 48@25 200gr SS insert 700gr 30%EFOC they are flying ok but any little mistake on my Release and they are not hitting ware I'm looking! My Grizzly 3 to1 250gr hit same as my target points what do you think any suggestions? Thanks great video!

    • @robertcarte95
      @robertcarte95  Год назад +1

      I'm no expert on tuning but I would make sure my arrows fly good bare shaft. When they do groups seem to tighten.

    According to Dr. Ashley if your shooting 650 grains nothing else matters for penetration- your going through!😁
