Great guide. Looking forward to the dedicated alt leveling guide! Also I love that your videos have an icon in the thumbnail, to tell if its live, remix, classic, etc. Brilliant.
So thankful for videos like these and content creators like you. After a long work day, all I want is to play (almost) mindlessly and not having to wander around like an idiot asking “what is this”and “where to now?”
I'm definitely not trying to speerdun with my first toon, I'll just complete EVERY quest I come accross (campaign or not), watch every cutscene, listen to every dialogue. However, I will definitely save this video for my alts :p
I wish I had seen this on launch week! Knowing that without side quests you can only hit 76, would have been very good to know, i did end up doing side quests eventually on my own but really good to know :)
Wish I had found this sooner, spent nearly 4 days after buying the game going from 70 to 77. Was miserable. Gonna try a lot of this later when i get back on
Hey gang! So, currently , dragon isles is bugged. You cannot die if in chromie time, so leveling alts by mass pulling is averaging about 9 minutes a level at level 60 to 70 for me.
As of yesterday, perhaps an hour or two earlier, than that, Skyriding can now be toggled to Stable flight by an Ability button dropped into your action bar on logging in. It resets to classic wow flight.
wait... how do you turn on adventure mode on your first character ? i'm done with the leveling campaign but... then what ? in the video you say you can freely roam in an empty version of the isle of dorn and do side quests but.... it's full of players ? I'm not sure I understand how adventure mode works on your first character... lmao
Adventure Mode gets turned on automatically after you finish the campaign, you can see it in the footage. As for the "empty version", I was stating specifically that on launch you'll be able to level in a separate phase from the campaign players. On launch, that would mean you're leveling in an empty version of the zone. Obviously right now there are tons of max level players running around the zones completing activities, so it isn't going to be empty for you.
Hi im new on the game, i play the shadowlands expansion so my toon is lvl 60, then i go to dragonfly and now my toon is 70, should i go to the new expansion?, or finish dragonfly expansion first?
You can go back later on an alt and experience the Dragonflight campaign with timewalking. The Dragonflight campaign overall was really well done-story wise and in general the Dragon Isles were incredibly beautiful.
By the way, you can switch back to the old style of flying by following these steps: 1) Open Talents & Spellbook; 2) Click on General tab on the top; 3) Click on Skyriding and choose most right button "Switch Flight Style" and you're back to the old style of flying that is in my opinion much better as it has more control.
I used to remember more people playing in launches - but I played during launch and barely saw any other folks - maybe the instancing is too efficient?
Also there was a pre-launch early access period of time where players who got the collectors or upgraded digital editions were able to get into the new content a few days early.
have you been able to tell what happened to radiant echoes? the exp got super nerfed and isnt a breeze to level in anymore it seems feels like it got cut down a ton most people ive seen guess that its to stop people from using it to go to 70-80 but if that were the case i rly wish they just cut it off at 70 instead of halting people still leveling new chars before launch day like this ://
Great video . Been doing some experimenting and dungeons seem to be quite lucrative in terms of XP it might be something to look into .Also world quests seems to be great as well once they are unlocked on your alts as some of them are near or on other quests including some main quests as well.
The reason I stopped playing was the new dragon riding, it might be faster and more fun for some, I did manage to 'hotkey' it but it took all the normal enjoyment out of the game, for some with dexterity issues and disabled the dragon riding is a pain, and having to 'unlock' yet another pathfinder annoying, I have already been lvl 80, I knew how to fly, I hear this thing about wanting to hold people back to make the story unfold, rubbish.
Campaign and forced story just killed the game for me, I couldnt get to level 70 on Dragonflight cuz I burnt out so bad on the fakin leveling and campaign....
I mean, I was able to finish the Campaign leveling, get max level, start working on my professions, farm mounts and pets, work on renown, unlock faster flight paths, unlock being able to switch flight modes etc, all before launch day so if that is of no value to you then sure thing, no value what-so-ever. I always buy the collectors editions so this was a bonus for me. 🤷♀
Actually, no. That's the best part about this route, absolutely none of it relied on doing cheesy things to exploit the OP scaling. It's going to remain fast while all other methods are eating a massive nerf.
I used this guide to level my main to 80 in a few hours. Thanks!

the launch ofthis expac was great i didnt notice any of the normal problems like too many players in smae place etc etc good guide

This video is intended for first characters to efficiently complete the campaign, but hopefully you still find it useful when leveling alts.

ty for all your guides :) they are brilliant as always and super helpful :) gl and hf in TWW
You should make a leveling guide for alts in the war within!! loved the video!
Planning on it, there's still a lot of testing that needs to be done.
This route while waiting on the dungeon queue should be extra quick leveling!
bro im still waiting for release
game released already, Nothing really opens till next month anyways... the the EA scam was just a money grab TWW was ready to go ages ago lmao.
You dont have too wait
😂😂😂 lmao pre order that mfker
Stay strong brother, all u can do until Monday is get level 80 and grind normal dungeons for gear u replace on Monday, not worth 40 dollars
It’s almost double the price, it’s crazy how fomo is now a main way to market games……..

Nothing has changed, it requires pathfinder.
Can you do an update 1-70 guide? I wanna get my earthen up asap lol
The existing 1-70 guide is still the fastest way to level.
does that mean that when it says complete after doing there areas that u can now go to another char n not have to do story again on that char?
That's correct.
For an alt, does it make sense to do the campain again or do the normal quests to get rep for the 4 warband factions?

Idk why but the millisecond clock was tweaking my eyes out so freaking bad
Wouldn't spamming dungeons just be faster?

Head to the new expansion.

Doesn't work in the new zones until you get Pathfinder.
I used to remember more people playing in launches - but I played during launch and barely saw any other folks - maybe the instancing is too efficient?
Yea, it's just instancing.
Also there was a pre-launch early access period of time where players who got the collectors or upgraded digital editions were able to get into the new content a few days early.
Able to do all the quests on Augmentation through leveling?
I would strongly suggest not playing Augmentation for leveling, it's the weakest spec in the game for that.
@@Harldan1 that was my thought
Hey little doggy!!
You think doing side quests is faster than doing the Rookery dungeon with followers ?
Follower dungeons are terrible experience.
have you been able to tell what happened to radiant echoes? the exp got super nerfed and isnt a breeze to level in anymore it seems
feels like it got cut down a ton

Think something got messed up with it and they said they were going to fix it soon
Great video . Been doing some experimenting and dungeons seem to be quite lucrative in terms of XP it might be something to look into .Also world quests seems to be great as well once they are unlocked on your alts as some of them are near or on other quests including some main quests as well.
So you recommend leveling in warmode?
Yes
@morgenmuffel5747 definitely, I'm on tich and besides a couple well deserved deaths, most people are just questing.
Ok. Thank you for the replies
Dragon riding, formally known as guild wars 2 flying lol
Dungeons were overtuned for xp the first few levels 70-75.
I can even complete half of the second area without hitting max....

Campaign and forced story just killed the game for me, I couldnt get to level 70 on Dragonflight cuz I burnt out so bad on the fakin leveling and campaign....
I mean, it takes 4 hours. If you can't stomach 4 hours of a forced campaign, this is probably the wrong game for you regardless.
@@Harldan1 probably 6 or 8 hours for me, but yeah even 2 hours is pain I need to take breaks every hour or I go insane...
Good video tho 🔥🔥🔥
It's an MMORPG, it takes time.

I like how everyone is advising to buy early access when it adds no value whatsoever
I mean, I was able to finish the Campaign leveling, get max level, start working on my professions, farm mounts and pets, work on renown, unlock faster flight paths, unlock being able to switch flight modes etc, all before launch day so if that is of no value to you then sure thing, no value what-so-ever. Until the new fuck up patch Blizzard are enforcing where they'll make leveling up much more difficult after today.
Actually, no. That's the best part about this route, absolutely none of it relied on doing cheesy things to exploit the OP scaling. It's going to remain fast while all other methods are eating a massive nerf.

Just saying follower dungeons were a horrible waste of dev time and effort.
Spent fukin 3 hours on the Citizen quest, dumped it, NPCs are gone, game is so STUPID!!
