One of the best jugalabandhis I've ever seen. I love the combination of the fast and fierce Bharatanatyam and the soft and subtle Kuchipudi. I really love to see this kind of mixes, because we are able to determine not only the differences of the 2 dances, but also the likeness and unity of it perfomed as one. All the best and God bless!
While the dancers were definitely good and appreciable, I feel the singer was no less. Her voice and singing definitely added up to the performance. The smoothness of the singing and the breaks in between are really a symbol of expertise.
A perfectly crafted blend of two finest forms of dance on the earth performed by two angel like highly professional danseuses! So does the composition of d great legend mangalampalli garu...n d singer...what a perfect combination is this! Simply superb n felt tht the dance shd have gone for hours at a stretch...may goddess saraswathi bless both of u for adding essence to d dance forms...bravo
The jugalbhandi of both sisters, with one perfecting the precise, angular and rigourous Bharatanatyam, and the other mirroring the adavus, but in the fluid, curvaceous and scintillating Kuchipudi is certainly a treat to watch. You have made it difficult to choose which one is the better dancer, as you both are masters at what you do. That being said, my issue is with the camera work, as it has displayed a bias towards the dancer who was performing Kuchipudi. There were three closeups of the sister in the yellow and black costume, one at 2:39 - 2:40, another at 4:17 - 4:20 and the most egregious, was the closeup at 4:39 - 4:47, when both styles were being performed at the same time, while the camera was focused solely on the Kuchipudi dancer. We lost the movements of the sister on the left. While it did not effect the overall quality of the camerawork, I just thought I would point out an obvious bias, which may have been inadvertently and unintentionally carried out.
Thanks for explaining the difference about the dance styles !! Helped in appreciating both the dancers who are special in their own way. Many would not know the difference.
FYI... both dances are revived with new format and tradition following bhakti movement in the late 18th century... the traditional dances were all banned by british.
That's pretty awesome.... the way u present it is so amazing.... appreciate your hard work 👍.... thank you for sharing this with us and we are enjoying your videos 👌💝👌💝 keep sharing like this..... give my full package 👍🔔💝
I performed this dance on a programme and the appreciation that I got after coming down the stage was a proud moment for me... Thanks for uploading this video. A Malayali from Pune
Madam, Remaining as so young and pleasing presentation by all these years for us . Madam we do admire the devine art in both of you sisters with our humble love.
Neermalamuu : You have noticed it right. That is because she is performing the Thilana in Kuchipudi dance form. (You can make out by the different attires and hairdo) Usually, Kuchipudi involves, like you stated, more graceful and subtle movements. There are more variations in footwork (Using heels as well as toes etc.) Whereas, Bharatnatyam involves controlled and steady movements. And the dancers here have beautifully presented the difference in the art forms, don't you think? Truly Amazing!
+Anupama Dilip Kumar Nambiar Yes, I too noticed that. The lady on the left has perfect Armandi, while the lady on the right has amazing expressions. Flawless combination!
what is the hairstyle that mam performing kuchipudi has?? a special crown like accessory has been added that is unsually beautiful.. If someone could tell me wat it is and where to find it online.. pls
This is Balamuralikrishna's tillana in Kadanakuthoohalam: ruclips.net/video/xC89ubL52uI/видео.html If you haven't heard his tillanas, definitely listen to the other ones in this album too (and he has some more that aren't included here - Ahir Bhairav, Behag, Garudadhwani, Gatibheda Priyaragamalika, and a Bhupalam tillana of Swati Tirunal, tuned by Balamurali)
Now I believe in goddesses. Lakshmi and Parvati dance divinely. Beautiful music, the rhythm comes alive with your dance.
Jay guru MahaDevi, OM!

what raag and taal is this in?
Sharv Dave kadanakuduhalam
Kadanakuthuhalam ragam and aadhi thalam
thanks! Aishwarya Vijaykumar Athira Prasad
i have 2 doubts 1. who is younger and who is elder ? 2. who is padmini in this
Left droupathy ma'am .. right padmini ma'am
The lady in black and gold is padmimini
the left person is too fast
The left one is performing bharathanatyam and the right one is Kuchipudi.. hence the difference in the style, steps and speed
the dance is ok but the music/mridangam is bad it was played by a old men.
