      @@trishwsmom4289 I love truth and I love new information. I spend way too much time in that area of live. But I also appreciate and sometimes even miss that feeling of wonder. Although being factually true is something useful, it is not always necessary. I'm glad that I don't have some fairy right next to me and whenever I hear an information it starts correct things or elaborates why it is theoretically true but painted from the wrong angle.
      Sure we sometimes end up believing in wrong things and this might even ruin our live. But that is also a sign of freedom and autonomy. Live would not be worth living anymore if we are always safe and correct and every chance for learning and growth is gone.

    • @Erizedd
      @Erizedd 3 года назад

      Great idea! Maybe including examples of where people have come up with ingenious solutions for farming in difficult situations. There are some examples of tribes in the desert that are great for this. I vaguely recall one that set up a channel system to create running water for their village, not unlike what they did in Machu Pichu. Another is the irrigation systems they set up in Saudi Arabia (i think?) using the deep underground water table to dig wells, redistribute the water, and reclaim parts of the desert for use growing crops. Anyway, it was cool to see, and I'm sure they'd find them interesting - maybe even something they could use themselves?

It made me think of how many places around the world could use that kind of technology (even simplified) and improve their way of life with it. They've seen a video on modern tech used in farming (mostly vehicles, but all things they couldn't hope to ever own themselves), but to see methods used in farming from other tribes around the world similar to their level of tech would be pretty cool.

    I wish I could explain to them about Venus, being covered with thick clouds, causing the surface temperature to be around 800 degrees Celsius, and Jupiter, and Saturn are for the most part just balls of gas (Jupiter possibly having a liquid hydrogen core), and that the rings of Saturn are made of ice from the size of grains of sand to boulders.

    • @lajoswinkler
      @lajoswinkler 3 года назад +1

      Venus surface temperature is nowhere near 800 °C. It's around 475 °C.
      Jupiter is not gaseous. It's contents are called _gas_ because that's a planetology name for two substances - hydrogen and helium. It does not mean state of matter, but chemical composition. Only atmosphere is actually gaseous. It gradually transforms into so called "supercritical fluid". It's not liquid. There can be no liquids down in those depths because temperatures are enormous, much higher than critical temperatures of hydrogen and helium - thus they can not liquefy.

    Dear Common Man Show - I know it's a bit of extra work, but do you think in future you could google the answers to any questions they have on videos they watch, and present those answers at the end of the video? Being able to answer their questions in videos would give these men a much clearer, fuller understanding of what they were seeing, and they'll probably retain the information better with this understanding. It would be really lovely to see! I hope you'll at least consider it.

    Larger viewing screen should be provided for full effect and understanding of scale. Why not get a 32 inch TV with DVD player attached (nowadays, so inexpensive). You don't need the Internet for that. Then allow them to use the laptop to Google their questions.

    It's a shame they didn't have stuff explained, like the sun being a giant ball of gas, mercury being pull of pits due to asteroid impacts, venus being the way it is, Mars being barren, Jupiter being the largest planet in our system and being made up if various gasses whilst its surface is like a storm and its moons, Saturn's rings being told that they are large chunks of ice from a moon Saturn ripped apart ect.

    Please show them a video of how our solar system was created. I think they would be very surprised to learn how the dents in the planets were created by asteroids striking them thousands of years ago. And how some planets are made from gas and some from rock. And how the moon was created from a huge collision between two proto planets.

    It would be nice to have explanations of solar dynamics in terms of the magnetic field, I don't think many people know those loops of plasma coming off the surface are often bigger than the earth and created by the insane twisting of the sun's magnetic field due to differences in rotation speed at poles vs. equator. It's really mind blowing to consider the incredible amounts of energy at work here.
