What a strange manga. I like it. It feels like the authors just mixed the whole Mario canon up to that point into a blender. I absolutely loved the monkey with his hand stuck in the candy jar bit; it's just the right kind of stupid humor for me. It's even better when he gets his hand stuck again.
I love how nutty these comics are, perfect fit for a nonsensical fantasy world like Mario. Also, I found myself anticipating all the music picks with glee, the DK'94 track during DK's appearance at the circus was the highlight for me. Hope there are more of these videos to come, it's great discovering these gems in a language I can understand.
This was so much fun to watch (as well as your other manga form videos) and it's so interesting to see a Nintendo franchise to be slightly crude compared to what we normally see. All the DK music makes me want to play through Tropical Freeze again but my backlog is not getting any smaller. Thanks again for the awesome content!

This was funny, even Bowser,Dr. Mario and Luigi's but is here. Didn't play older Donkey Kong games, only one I have is Donkey Kong Country Returns on 3DS and it's awesome. I will definitely check older DK & DKC games in future.
I think it's pretty neat how there's a bunch of stuff like this from back in the day out there that took a game as basic (story wise) as Donkey Kong and gave it a full on story, like with the Super Mario and Zelda American cartoons.

I love these videos so much. Never would have known these manga existed otherwise. The art style in the Mario series' is very charming. What was the song you used for the Big City and final DK battle? Heck, and the surprise Bowser song. Those versions all sounded really great!
Hey cole! Glad you liked it. The big city is new donk city from Mario odyssey and the final battle is a remix of stage 9-8 and has many covers online not sure what it’s name is. Wanted to use in game music but it didn’t fit right. Too abrasive. 🐵

That is literally impossible. Nintendo never releases any of their games like this unless they are the sole 1st party to release it. Nintendo would never work with Arcade1Up and would never license their work out to them.

Donkey Kong Country itself has never been a game Nintendo itself has developed. It's been farmed out to Rare Ltd and Retro Studios. Not only that, Nintendo has licensed Donkey Kong for many other products to other companies for a variety of products, including a Donkey Kong game of Jenga. So while I would say it may be unlikely, as Nintendo may require a hefty royalty fee that Arcade1up wouldn't be able to afford and who knows if they'll ever come to the table, an absolute of "impossible" based on your emotional opinion that you have presented as fact that isn't supported by actual facts is indeed not true 😏

Very good, as always GTV. I remember that song at the start.. that was just for the 8-bit Nintendo, wasn't it? Pretty sure. en with only 3 levels instead of 4, it was fun and better than any other port at the time. Haven't heard that in about 35 years that I can recall. But I played so much of the game that it was still tucked in there, with all the other precious things and 80's awesomeness. I really like your stories too... late 80's or so? I know the was a Saturday cartoon that kinda flopped and coloring books but no real background at the time for Donkey Kong and it's sequel. Thanks again! The 4 level DK was for the 3ds in Europe I think? Honestly no idea but I know it was not available in japan or I’d have it. Yeah. Jumpman they fixed that fast. But in japan that kind of thing makes sense. Not so much in English

the mario 64 story is 4 books so thats really a lot of work to do! if something hasnt been translated, then its always up for possibly being made, however my list of to do is already long, so never say never, but maybe someday.

There is a book on the first game but not all three. For now there’s no plan to make that as I’ll be making ones on other games but who knows what tomorrow will bring
It'll be super cool if this city was new donky city, make a lot of sense to the lore But i don't if the Nintendo is capable doing a call back like this. The Mario franchise being so big the way it is, it must be a little difficult to do something like that.

Aditionally, I know is hard to search information, but I read some time over an art book about Super Famicom F-Zero, what information have about it? It's true there was a manga publised for the anime related F-Zero at early 2000? Yeah, its hard to find information, any information you have, thank you.

the mario 64 story is 4 books so thats really a lot of work to do! if something hasnt been translated, then its always up for possibly being made, however my list of to do is already long, so never say never, but maybe someday.

I say it does. What could the game have been if the technology was available in 1981? Also miyamoto produced it so its the same vision and the same creator.

There is a book on the first game but not all three. For now there’s no plan to make that as I’ll be making ones on other games but who knows what tomorrow will bring
