Some people get stuck in this mental prison where u keep recycling ur habits and it’s an endless cycle. U try to be better and sometimes in moments of weakness u give in because it’s so mentally exhausting to try to escape the prison u built inside ur mind.
It’s worse when u hate how u can’t escape and start to blame ur self. U start hating ur self so much so that while trying to be better for ur own self and others, it’s conflicting with ur own negative perception of ur self that u dig ur self a deeper hole making the bad habits even worse. Ik cause it happens to me. Honestly I see my problems as pretty “light” so I couldn’t imagine what it’s like for a person with Shia’s kind of past to manage him or her self.

Everyone on that podcast is mad talented at something and/or comes from a privileged background. In addition, they are also at the top of their respective careers and have insight/experience with "high society" to a degree that is hard to fathom. Maybe it's bc im not in NY/LA, but most of their accomplishments and/or the accomplishments they talk about (ie the fighting scene) seem unattainable by even an above average individual, and all one can do is envy their success.
