    I'm sitting here eating "everything bagel" crackers from Trader Joe's, and I want to make my own savory crackers and your video was the one that I thought to watch because I watched other ones but I wasn't thrilled about them but I love how simple your recipe is. I want to use Montreal steak seasoning which I'm sure you heard of which is very savory, and I thought that would be great for a party, so I'm so glad that I watched your video and I'm definitely going to follow your recipe- thank you so much!! 🤩🤗🩷🌹
    Oh- can you possibly write the measurements to make these crackers in bulk, I want to make them for a party and I'd like to make them rectangular like the crackers should be a little bit bigger and that would be great if you could- thank you so much!

    • @DanliciousFood
      @DanliciousFood  6 месяцев назад +2

      Wonderful, hope it turned out well for you!

      About 18 - 20 min. should do the trick like I said in the video, but depending on your oven, keep an eye on the crackers, if you see a light golden brown on the edges, they should be ready and pull them out earlier if need be so they don't burn!

    I just made it today. I thought it was thin enough but it still wasn't (for my taste lol). I'd also recommend to bake it longer so it's crispier. My first batch was a little chewy afterwards (though it was fully cooked). I will make it again. I may also add more salt so it has more flavor. Thank you so much!

    • @DanliciousFood
      @DanliciousFood  2 года назад

      You're welcome! Yes, the thinner the better because it can get crispier, you don't want chewy crackers! It does take a little bit of muscle and time to get it thin with a rolling pin though!
      Salt definitely will add more flavor, yum, especially if you eat them plain! Otherwise, I like to keep salt at a minimum so you can dip them in sauces or pair with cheese/meats, etc. Enjoy!

      The only concern would be the moisture from the fresh herb, so try it and see if it's an issue, if it is, you may need to dry it out beforehand in the oven a bit, but otherwise, it shouldn't be an issue!

    I used some whole wheat flour that I sieved to remove a lot of the really large pieces but found it hard to get them thin enough. Maybe my pasta maker would do the job? It took a LOT more water to get it moistened and pliable.,

    Thank you for the easy recipe. First making crackers. I was going to try a King Arthur Flour recipe; way too complicated and time consuming.

    Can you fry these?

    • @DanliciousFood
      @DanliciousFood  4 года назад +2

      I have never tried deep frying them myself. However, I believe you CAN "fry" them in a frying pan, no oil needed and just place them in, heating it over medium high heat (adjust) until crisp and golden brown, flipping in the middle.

    I remade them and did not knead the dough. It was much easier to roll thinly and less tough. Remember that over mixing biscuits and cornbread creates tough products. They were also crispier. I started with 1/2 cup of water and used some flout on and under the dough. Much better.
