@@kaylansdell7865 Hello there, thank you very much for watching my video. This video is over four years old and my equipment at the time I recorded it certainly was not the best. I had no idea so many awesome people would show up to watch this video, but I'm so thankful for everyone who's interested in the recipe. Unfortunately I can't do much to help the audio quality on this video now, but there is a link to my blog in the description box where you can go and print the full recipe so you can have a copy to read. You can always come back and watch this video tutorial if you need to. Thank you again for watching and commenting, and I hope you enjoy the homemade crackers!! 😊
my father used to make crackers when I was a kid. We seldom bought prepackaged food. we also made our own marshmallows , ketchup, mustard, mayo, ice cream, pancake syrup, won ton wrappers, pickles, pasta etc. and we even grew our own pop corn. I still prefer to make my own stuff from scratch so I can avoid all the other stuff they have to put in the store bought stuff, plus it tastes better and cost less.
OK, used butter instead of shortening with half tsp sesame oil. Rolled out to quarter inch thick and cut with 2-inch biscuit cutter. Pricked and sprinkled tops with furikake (seaweed and sesame seed rice seasoning). Got 28 crackers. Yummy results. Could've rolled them thinner, and will next time. Awesome recipe. Again, I really appreciate you sharing it.
Hello Happy Baker Girl!! Oh wow, furikake seasoning sounds like a delicious topping for these homemade saltines, I've tried the everything-bagel seasoning and toasted sesame seeds as twists, and now we have to try that one! Thank you so much for all of your wonderful feedback on this video and recipe, it really means the world to me. I'm so happy to hear that you and your husband enjoyed the recipe!! I appreciate you very much, I hope you all have a wonderful week!! 🌸😊
Hello Ann, thank you so much for watching my video and giving the recipe for these saltines a try!! I'm so happy to hear you're enjoying them so much, we think this recipe is a keeper too. 🙂 Thank you again for the comment and Happy Holidays to you and yours!! 🎄🌟🎅🏻
At 70 I just finished my first attempt at these and was very surprised, mine turned out to taste remarkably like Wheat Thins! I rolled my dough out very thin and was pleased with the results. Thanks.
Hello there!! Thank you so much for watching my video and for taking the time to leave me a comment!! I'm so happy to hear you gave the recipe a try and that you enjoyed the crackers!! Thanks again and have a wonderful week!! 🌞
I make everything from scratch, including daily bread, and I was just looking for a recipe for saltine crackers. The ones in the store, even those from Whole Foods, Natural Grocers etc., all have ingredients I don't want in my food. I'm going to change the shortening to coconut oil, though, so hopefully it'll work as well. Thank you!! :)
I came across your video and I am trying your recipe tonight. There are no crackers in my regular grocery store, Aldi. I even contacted the company and they could not tell me when saltine crackers would be available. They turned out fantastic, I even posted on FB and shared this video with friends and family.
Hello there, thank you so much for watching my video and I'm so happy to hear you enjoyed the recipe! I appreciate you sharing it out very much, I hope your family and friends will enjoy the recipe too! Thank you again for the support and have a wonderful week!! 😊💜
Homemade Saltine Crackers!!!! Whaatttt? How cool is this? I have a rolling pin without handles. Got it from my Gram. I love it! Very cool on the crunch!
@@ALittleFishintheKitchen Very cool. I've never used the handle on. But I remember the day when my gram handed down to me her pin. I love it. I love it so much it's the one thing in my kitchen that truly cannot replace.
Looks very yummy. Thank you so much for sharing. I really appreciate it. Keep up the amazing work. I would love to see more videos like this.💕🤤 I am glad to be here🤝🤝😋😘

Hello Aleesha! Thank you so much for watching and leaving such a kind comment :) I hope you enjoy the recipe. Wishing you all the best in the new year!! :)
Wow! I think this is a light and crispy cookie. If my mom makes it like this, she will eat it well. And I think I can make it more comfortable because I don't have any additives. Even if I put on strawberry jam or peanut butter, I think it'll suit everyone. I think it'll be good to carry it with me when I get out. It's great! I enjoyed watching your video and thank you for sharing a good recipe.❤️❤️😉😍
It was funny, I was talking to my mom about crackers I had just brought at the store and how they were tasteless and your video popped up and it was great so I will have to show my mom now and we will be having a girls day soon. Thank you for this great recipe.
