I'm heartbroken. I've been double and triple checking my documents for inland Spousal sponsorship and last minute I noticed I forgot to add DOB on the pictures, so I took them out of the online portal and completely forgot and I submitted without them... I'm so disappointed in myself after all the hard work I put into my application
Hey Carolina, it doesn't really affect the application. The most common reason an application is returned is because of missing signatures, forms, or failing to pay the correct fees. I am certain that this won't be such an issue, there might be delays but your application probably won't be returned back. Fingers crossed.

I am having an issue with the very first step here....the activation of my sponsorship application, in order to get my personal ID number. The process is all very confusing, but your video's make it a little less stressful. I submitted all my files and got rejected because they said I was missing signatures on IMM 5476. But I submitted all the signatures. Even when they sent back my application on the online portal, it was there.

Pls help to answer my question I’m facing now: I’ve submitted online on May 1 and got returned yesterday Aug 9 for 1 reason: signature at Consent and Declaration was not signed by principal applicant (a really stupid mistake I made). So in the return page on online portal, it’s showing ‘incomplete’ at the last part ‘Consent and Declaration’, but showing ‘complete’ for all other submitted forms and for all uploaded supporting documents. In that case, for resubmission with correct signature at Consent and Declaration on the return page, should I refill, get new barcode, sign again, put back the current date and scan ALL forms again, since they were all dated May 1, more than 90 days from now? Or they show ‘complete’ because they were all read, confirmed completed which means all evaluated, so no need to make any changes or add any additional info at resubmission? Pls help to answer as I really want to resubmit asap.
No, the 'complete' status is just the portal letting you know that you have successfully uploaded those. no documents are reviewed until you submit the application. when resubmitting make sure all forms are newer versions(some forms have been updated). it wouldn't hurt to do the forms again with latest date and signatures, just to be safe.

I just received email saying its been rejected because we forgot to include IMM 5406. I have now added that to the online application. My spouse application was returned last week and i was able to resubmit it under return file..you just have to delete the incomplete form and resubmit the right form After you delete the form Which says incomplete, submit application will become blue …try it!
Thank you for your suggestion. I am happy that it worked for you. It’s a good thing. When I reapplied on Oct 27, 2021, I had tried exactly that. It did not work for me, just like it did not work for so many. I tried it with a new tab, 3 different browsers, cleared out my cache, reuploading everything again on the returned page but it did not work for me. The online portal is still buggy with a lot of technical issues. The reason it worked for you and probably is working for more people now could be because of a recent update on the portal. But there are still so many people who are not able to resubmit using the return page. Which is why starting a fresh application works for them, like it worked for me.

sorry you are having to go through this. DNA testing request is unusual and not something i have full understanding of. Good Day Brother, I did apply for a spouse sponsorship visa to meet my wife and children in Canada, while I was in Nigeria. I am presently studying in South Korea and I got an email, inviting me for an interview in Nigeria on (February 14th, 2022) but I could not make it down to Nigeria, due to traveling restrictions among others. (A letter was sent to the embassy before the interview date requesting them to reschedule the visa interview) I was refused with this (The application has been refused because the Applicant does not meet the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. ). Immediately we got this letter, an email was sent to them the embassy requesting them to reschedule the interview but no reply yet. please, what do you advise I do. Thank you for your response.
1: you should send an email to the Canadian embassy in Nigeria requesting them to transfer your case to the Canadian embassy or consulate in South Korea. 2:contact the Canadian embassy in South Korea and ask if they have an available spot and can accept your case. include your name, wife's name, and all documents in the email. so, technically you accidentally submitted an incomplete form. not much i know we ca do here. but try to raise a webform and see if they let you fix the mistake.
Hello, a quick question. In spousal outland application, does the sponsor has to give travel history outside canada for past 5 years or only the principal applicant travel history is required. I drove to usa every week for few years. I may be having over 200 entries to include in that case. Thanks
@A Grewal Yes. The instructions are kind of confusing. Even I was confused about this. Spouse's info must also be provided in the PA's form(in the spouse's section even if spouse is citizen or PR). the sponsor does not have to fill their copy of the form though(This is where the confusion happens). so, SECTION B: SPOUSE is where you will provide info about spouse(even if they are sponsoring (PR or citizen)) what you can do is list daily trips and then provide a timeline. for example, under "From" and "To" dates, you can list a timeline for say, an year. then under "Length" you might list "Daily", or "weekly". then under "Purpose of travel" you can provide additional details.
My PR has expired and I couldn't renew it as my days aren't meet during last 5 years. But I am in Canada with active status. Can I apply for my spouse and son they're outside Canada or I have to wait for more 13 months to renew my PR than apply? Please suggest

@@HitSubmitCanada they saying following As your application does not meet the requirements of R 10 of IRPA, it is considered incomplete and is being returned to you along with your processing fee. A copy of your application has not been retained.
@@CanadaMachan That's the response they give when your application does not pass the completeness check and they reject it. When you go into your portal account again, you should already have previously completed digital forms, all documents and forms uploaded there. The missing/incomplete section should be highlighted. So, you will re-upload what was initially deemed incorrect/missing and submit again through the returned page. This will be considered as a new application. But you don't need to do all forms and documents again. Just make sure everything is attached and of course double check everything before re-submitting. If you don't feel confident with this approach, you can start a brand new application and re-upload everything again and redo the digital forms and attach previous receipt. I will leave that choice to you.

@@CanadaMachan If you have not submitted your application yet the second time, its not in process. Like i said you will be restarting from scratch. So now you will doing spousal sponsorship with dependent child(assuming child is not canadian citizen) I have a video on this. go to my channel library and search for it. it should help.
Hi I did resubmit our application in June when it was returned for missing signature . But like u mentioned we clicked view on the returned application and just added signatures and re uploaded them . We did not fill all forms again and we were able to submit the application. Now it only shows one application that is in submitted status. Is this gonna become an issue it’s already been late low key panicking with this new information
Some forms might have changed since the last time you submitted. if all your forms are up to date, most recent versions and filled correctly, i dont think it will be an issue.

See if they indicated it in the letter of explanation they emailed you, might be in your spam folder. If not, contact them through GCMS NOTES to get details on what went wrong

Hmm. That should not be happening. the portal is experiencing technical bugs for sure. does it give any specific errors? like any form is highlighted? you don't have to make new payment. just attach old receipt. some people told me that their error got fixed after they cut the length of the document names short.

hi Kavita. what are you seeing there in your file? did you receive AOR or medical request? the online portal will not show any other status than submitted or returned there. once you receive AOR, you can track your application in the new tracker.

background verification is one of the longest stages. No one can tell you how long it will take. Will just have to wait. its perfectly normal to wait a few months while in background check

The online form 0008 does not generate bar codes. only the paper based 0008 will. if you select India as a country of residence, the province section will get disabled, which is right. because province is meant for Canada. so dont worry about it. just list your state under district.
I resubmitted my file using the same Pr Portal but I had the option to submit the file after uploading new documents. Even after submitting the application, I got the confirmation mail as well that they got the application and will notify me when there is any update. It's strange.
It is indeed strange that you were able to submit using the same application page. It definitely did not let me. And so many people have reached out to me who also had the same issue so they had to start a new application. I guess if you got the email confirmation of submission, then your application does sound like submitted. If the sponsor's employment documents were properly provided, they should not have rejected the application for insufficient details. Work with your lawyer to find out why this happened as they will be able to best guide you since they are the ones handling your application.
My Application was returned for incomplete Forms IMM1344(There was no reason but I believe the scan was not clear) and IMM5476(for missing signatures). It did not ask me to fill a new application, I have uploaded the incomplete Forms again and the submit application button was enabled so I have re-submitted the same application, Is this fine or Do I need to submit a brand new application again?
Hey Naresh , I got for form IMM1344 and I am not sure why they said incomplete. Did you get any rejection letter? If yes, Did sponsor or primary applicant receive letter of rejection in your case ? Was your application online or by paper?
Our online application was rejected because of unsigned forms and we had not uploaded PCC, the mail we received says that an application must meet the requirements of section 10 and 11 of IRPR which says that the application must be made in writing. Doesn't that mean we need to submit the application physically? Why can't we resubmit the application online?

Can't really know when you'll get a response. hopefully within 3 months. wait at this point. but not a concern i'd say. it'll all work out as long as the second application you submitted is complete.
Since I resubmitted my file in January, I should be getting AOR by April… The date change was from the immigration office’ side so why would I have to wait for another three months? This is becoming frustrating now..

I’ve submitted online on May 1 and got returned yesterday Aug 9 for 1 reason: signature at Consent and Declaration was not signed by principal applicant (a really stupid mistake I made).
So in the return page on online portal, it’s showing ‘incomplete’ at the last part ‘Consent and Declaration’, but showing ‘complete’ for all other submitted forms and for all uploaded supporting documents. In that case, for resubmission with correct signature at Consent and Declaration on the return page, should I refill, get new barcode, sign again, put back the current date and scan ALL forms again, since they were all dated May 1, more than 90 days from now? Or they show ‘complete’ because they were all read, confirmed completed which means all evaluated, so no need to make any changes or add any additional info at resubmission?
Pls help to answer as I really want to resubmit asap.
No, the 'complete' status is just the portal letting you know that you have successfully uploaded those. no documents are reviewed until you submit the application. when resubmitting make sure all forms are newer versions(some forms have been updated). it wouldn't hurt to do the forms again with latest date and signatures, just to be safe.
What if it is a refusal and i am reapplying it? Am i supposed to make a new payment or use the previous one?

I just received email saying its been rejected because we forgot to include IMM 5406. I have now added that to the online application. My qestion is do i need to go back and change the dates of all other forms i originally submitted or do i just send LOE and the copy of the letter they sent?
if they are marked as complete, just leave them as is. only fix what was asked

When I reapplied on Oct 27, 2021, I had tried exactly that. It did not work for me, just like it did not work for so many. I tried it with a new tab, 3 different browsers, cleared out my cache, reuploading everything again on the returned page but it did not work for me.
The online portal is still buggy with a lot of technical issues. The reason it worked for you and probably is working for more people now could be because of a recent update on the portal. But there are still so many people who are not able to resubmit using the return page. Which is why starting a fresh application works for them, like it worked for me.

sorry you are having to go through this.
DNA testing request is unusual and not something i have full understanding of. I do know that they can ask that for parent /relative sponsorship if they are not satisfied with the biological relationship between child and parent or sibling. at this point, my knowledge is extremely limited on this. i will look into it more and get back if i find something. in the meantime, here is a link for some more info on their page.

I am presently studying in South Korea and I got an email, inviting me for an interview in Nigeria on (February 14th, 2022) but I could not make it down to Nigeria, due to traveling restrictions among others. (A letter was sent to the embassy before the interview date requesting them to reschedule the visa interview)
I was refused with this (The application has been refused because the Applicant does not meet the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. ). Immediately we got this letter, an email was sent to them the embassy requesting them to reschedule the interview but no reply yet.

1: you should send an email to the Canadian embassy in Nigeria requesting them to transfer your case to the Canadian embassy or consulate in South Korea. 2:contact the Canadian embassy in South Korea and ask if they have an available spot and can accept your case. include your name, wife's name, and all documents in the email.

so, technically you accidentally submitted an incomplete form. not much i know we ca do here. but try to raise a webform and see if they let you fix the mistake.

Hello, a quick question. In spousal outland application, does the sponsor has to give travel history outside canada for past 5 years or only the principal applicant travel history is required. I drove to usa every week for few years. I may be having over 200 entries to include in that case.

@A Grewal Yes. The instructions are kind of confusing. Even I was confused about this. Spouse's info must also be provided in the PA's form(in the spouse's section even if spouse is citizen or PR). the sponsor does not have to fill their copy of the form though(This is where the confusion happens). so, SECTION B: SPOUSE is where you will provide info about spouse(even if they are sponsoring (PR or citizen))
what you can do is list daily trips and then provide a timeline. for example, under "From" and "To" dates, you can list a timeline for say, an year. then under "Length" you might list "Daily", or "weekly". then under "Purpose of travel" you can provide additional details.

Only submit missing. You can attach old receipt again, no need to pay again.

@@CanadaMachan That's the response they give when your application does not pass the completeness check and they reject it. When you go into your portal account again, you should already have previously completed digital forms, all documents and forms uploaded there. The missing/incomplete section should be highlighted. So, you will re-upload what was initially deemed incorrect/missing and submit again through the returned page. This will be considered as a new application. But you don't need to do all forms and documents again. Just make sure everything is attached and of course double check everything before re-submitting. If you don't feel confident with this approach, you can start a brand new application and re-upload everything again and redo the digital forms and attach previous receipt. I will leave that choice to you.
Ok, I actually I was going to pay that both processing fees again of my wife and my self. :( , thank you for letting me know. yah I can see all the form are there as it is and only the one require is to upload again. Hi I did resubmit our application in June when it was returned for missing signature . But like u mentioned we clicked view on the returned application and just added signatures and re uploaded them . We did not fill all forms again and we were able to submit the application. Now it only shows one application that is in submitted status. Is this gonna become an issue it’s already been late low key panicking with this new information
Some forms might have changed since the last time you submitted. if all your forms are up to date, most recent versions and filled correctly, i dont think it will be an issue.

Hmm. That should not be happening. the portal is experiencing technical bugs for sure. does it give any specific errors? like any form is highlighted? you don't have to make new payment. just attach old receipt. some people told me that their error got fixed after they cut the length of the document names short.
No the site did not highlight any and its not telling me anything where i went wrong or if im missing anything.

hi Kavita. what are you seeing there in your file? did you receive AOR or medical request? the online portal will not show any other status than submitted or returned there. once you receive AOR, you can track your application in the new tracker.

Yes you can use the same receipt if you have not asked for refund and they didn't refund you

The online form 0008 does not generate bar codes. only the paper based 0008 will. if you select India as a country of residence, the province section will get disabled, which is right. because province is meant for Canada. so dont worry about it. just list your state under district.

I resubmitted my file using the same Pr Portal but I had the option to submit the file after uploading new documents. Even after submitting the application, I got the confirmation mail as well that they got the application and will notify me when there is any update. It's strange.
It is indeed strange that you were able to submit using the same application page. It definitely did not let me. And so many people have reached out to me who also had the same issue so they had to start a new application.
I guess if you got the email confirmation of submission, then your application does sound like submitted. My guess is, the portal is experiencing technical issues And this could have been a very recent update.

My application was sumbitted on June 14th 2022 and was returned yesterday 7 october2022 due to missing country in the address and could resumbit through the same portal and also got confirmation mail. Im planning to stay here for couple of months and do WFH for my Canadian employer. ls it possible to apply for spousal sponsorship from india? considering everything is online now? ps: the website says i should live in canada to apply, does that mean i should be physically present in canada?

Is their anyone who's spousal application rejected twice I first applied on 22oct Rejected on 13th Dec due to missing document then again reapplied on 20th Dec today on 3rd Feb again they rejected reason they gave is they need more financal details of my spouse who is canadian citizen for last 23 yrs and already has provided all his salary slips, job letter. I have no idea what's going on can anyone plz suggest me anything becoz its extremely stressful to go all over again . Probably it's my lawyers fault or my luck I have no idea
If the sponsor's employment documents were properly provided, they should not have rejected the application for insufficient details. Work with your lawyer to find out why this happened as they will be able to best guide you since they are the ones handling your application.

My Application was returned for incomplete Forms IMM1344(There was no reason but I believe the scan was not clear) and IMM5476(for missing signatures). It did not ask me to fill a new application, I have uploaded the incomplete Forms again and the submit application button was enabled so I have re-submitted the same application, Is this fine or Do I need to submit a brand new application again?

Hey Naresh , I got for form IMM1344 and I am not sure why they said incomplete. Did you get any rejection letter? If yes, Did sponsor or primary applicant receive letter of rejection in your case ? Was your application online or by paper?

Our online application was rejected because of unsigned forms and we had not uploaded PCC, the mail we received says that an application must meet the requirements of section 10 and 11 of IRPR which says that the application must be made in writing. Doesn't that mean we need to submit the application physically? Why can't we resubmit the application online?
No, it doesn't mean that. You can absolutely submit your application online again. I did that too.

Hello! I just resubmitted my application on January this year. I attach the letter of rejection but I fail to understand that I should have also attach a letter of explanation. We have the same reason of return which is one missing signature. Do you think they will return it because I did not attach an explanation letter?

Hey I have a question. I applied my PR using the online portal back in October 2021 but due to the missing signature, my file got rejected/returned and had to resubmit my file again in January 2022. Yesterday, I got an email from cic stating my file has been updated. When I logged into my account, the submission date automatically changed to Yesterday’s. Do you have any idea what that means? Is it a matter of concern?

@@anushkasharma6272 sorry missed your comment. So, Once you get AOR, that's when you'll know for sure they started working on it. Can't really know when you'll get a response. hopefully within 3 months. wait at this point. but not a concern i'd say. it'll all work out as long as the second application you submitted is complete.
Since I resubmitted my file in January, I should be getting AOR by April… The date change was from the immigration office’ side so why would I have to wait for another three months? This is becoming frustrating now..
