I love how when it comes to NF, stuff like that is never just a cool line. He always means it.
It was a long 12hr shoot in an abandoned six flags in New Orleans. So worth every second and drop of sweat. One of Nate’s favorite songs.

Jacob Infinity I drove back home to Michigan the following morning and by the time I got home, New Orleans was beginning to flood 😳 it was a great experience and definitely worth the drive! The fact that we couldn’t have our phones and during down time we actually had to socialize made it even better 💯🖤
It sure was man! Made a few great friends who appreciated Nate’s music as much as I do. So many great discussions. I drove from El Paso Texas. 17 hours! Worth it.

There's a scripture where Jesus/God says, I'll make your burdens light. I think the balloons are a direct reference to that. Nate holds onto them, and they're weighing him down, but literally if he let them go, they would float away.
The location for the video is in the abandoned theme park in New Orleans.
He posted that a select number of fans could show up for the filming on the 8th of July this year.

TheThirdErnest its all good man - just wanted to let you know! and trust me when I say that scene was more than one take even without that little snippet 😅 drove down to New Orleans from Michigan (roughly 20 hours each way) just to be there! It was a long day, but totally worth it! 100 degrees and 95% humidity was brutal, but again, 100% worth it for that experience with NF

@@DaleSmith816 No, God didn't give them to him. As mankind we brough apon ourselves sin and the struggle and death it brings. The reason that problems in life end up as long-term burdens is because we don't obey God and ask for his help. Instead we go through life with pride thinking that we can deal with this all alone. But we can't. And yes he is painting us a picture of how we need to give our burdens to God. Satan's mission is to steal, kill and destroy, NF is telling us of how God is here to Give us life. God warns us of death and hard times will be the consequence still we disobey, and so in that sense God allowed us to have burdens but God never intended for us to have the burdens so God is willing to help us and take the burdens off of us if we sincerely ask him to.
The ending got me thinking he's sharing them with his wife (female hand and all).

Its all about salvation. Giving your burdens over to God. Everyone is at a different place in their faith journey. That's why some have balloons yet etc...Nate has been given a gift and he uses it to glorify God. I think he struggles feeling unworthy of salvation. Constantly questioning. You too have been given a gift Ernest. How will you use yours?? As always you had the best breakdown I've heard. ❤
That’s what I got as well. It is so perfectly done at explaining how someone feels with burdens or in my case trauma.
Your breakdown of the balloons being burdens and how can they be weighing him down if they can just float away..I love it. That was so insightful. Makes you think about how we all have these balloons attached to us but they’re weightless if we allow them to be. We are our own enemies in our minds. Best reactor/lyric and music video brake down channel ever!!! Literally binged all your NF reactions and subscribed because of them!!! Making me think even more about what NF is saying. Maybe in the future react to Twenty One Pilots they’re not full on rap/hiphop but there is always so much to brake down in songs and music videos because they are deep and raw like NF and don’t curse or sexualize things either. I feel like collaboration between them is highly needed and they would hit us with the feelings even more then they already did lol.

It all depicts different stages of mental health. He identified and recognized his in Mansion and TS. In Perception he starts to work on them and working towards a healthy Nate who can face the world. Now he is at a place where the next steps are visualized, the dark clothes, the burdens, the masks etc. The striped tents are like 'therapy's' at one you can change clothes, at one you can leave your burdens at another one they help you wipe the smile off etc etc. But he ignores em. His issues make him more afraid of changes than he is bothered by his issues (the controllable space/comfortzone symbolized by the cage and later the cart). Being mentally sane does not equal having no problems or no issues, it just means being able to change perspectives when needed. That's why I think the next story in line will be 'Change' (I just noticed it also is literally the next song on the album LOL). Love your breakdowns btw 👍🏼

Leave Me Alone is the "Outcast" of this album. It has three verses with an amazing prechorus/bridge and a repetitve but fitting chorus/hook. He mentions both himself, the industry, naysayers and his fans. Great song and definitely in my favorites off this album. Nate is still my favorite.
