I'm not a rapper by any means, however I write poetry- so when I first heard this song,...let's just say (like the other NF songs) it hit hard. Some of my best poems are about dark things, and I've had to have that conversation in the sense of,..wanting to have that struggle continue to control my writing and works, but at the same time, you don't want it to keep controlling everything else. it's a give and take- create deep, meaningful pieces, but at the cost of getting other things in your life controlled by fear.

There is one line where fear says “wake up and take your own advice, you’re just mad cuz you know I’m right” which paints a picture that Nate is pissed off during fears bashing, not because Fear is right but because Nate’s tired AF with all of fears lies. That always makes me think of how emotionally deep his songs and thoughts can be, but also just how deep of a hole he needed to dig to bury fear. First time on your channel. Also, may I just say your view on the fact that people with mental issues are afraid of the version of themselves without it... that's a bar! I think he meant anger is in the basement not Johnny. Like when your really mad it feels like it's coming from your core. Just a feeling in the gut that just radiates and builds till it blows.
