Went on this years ago and my god i was soaked took me and my friend ALL DAY long to dry and it was 28 degrees that day! Only ride I have ever been on where you get more soaked than this was in Florida.
You know what, Tidal Wave isn’t actually that bad. It is the best themed water ride in the park. The theming is fantastic and on a hot summers day, I for one want to get soaked. One day, I’ll be happy to see it get the love it deserves and that also goes for Storm Surge. Depth Charge can be removed though for all I care.
well, i live in the uk and holy smoke theres LOADS of rides other than this if u dont like this, and thorpe park hold loads of titles, so itll be hard NOT tp enjoy urself. thers stealth, nemesis inferno, colossus, and SO much more! ;) it wont be a waste, i promise u.
There is always a choice for me whenever I go to a theme park: 1. I go on the water ride in the middle of the day and miss the queues but get wet for a couple of hours, or 2. Go on it at the end of the day, but wait 1 hour, but I don't get wet. Usually I choose number 1.

Absolutelt love this ride! I went here for my end of school trip in year 11 it was a boiling hot day and me and my mates went on this ride first we cued for 2 hours cos it brokedown and they were testing it we still got on it and were completely soaked however by the end of the day when it came to getting on the coach we were bone dry and everyone else was either damp or soaking wet 😂
I went on this a while ago, w/ my dad. thankfully it was pretty warm and sunny that day so I dried off practically instantly but this ride is pretty amazing if I say so aha.
you got to remember mate there is not much you can really do with water rides. They can't keep on going like roller coasters but trust me, it is a really fun ride ;)
I took a spare set of clothes with me just so I could go on this and be comfortable for the rest of the day and I'm glad I did! Got soaked! Great ride though :)

canadiancatgreen I don’t think u have ever been on a thrill ride before. I don’t scream on rides but it sounds so annoying on POV. If u r actually riding these rides u actually know why people scream and u don’t mind.
Well I am not a ride person except go karts this or water rides without dark areas would maybe be where I would start I like seeing what’s coming I think the big thing for me for screaming is my ears are sensitive but maybe it might not bother me I went to a local fair exhibition and the sounds did bother bother me as much as it did before that being said I don’t like loud music like there was a ride behind me at one stand and the music was just too loud across the pathway I am into trying a ride like a log /flume ride or one like this you see all of what’s coming and it looks like a good way too cool down at one time I stayed away from even water rides although they did interest me just not riding it

Depending on where u live (I guess u live in Canada) I would go to a small fairground and do a magic/wild/crazy mouse(there is tons of countless of these all over the world in most fairgrounds). They are simple roller coasters that are suitable for families.
This ride looks so funny from the distance, it's just a yellow rectangle with some people in it (who from a distance look completely chilled out) just ascend up a huge pipe, turn a corner really slowly and then just accelerate down.

I hardly got wet I went on it when I was like eleven or ten and my mum and aunt took my sister and me (my brother and dad do not understand fun) my mother didnt want to go on and gave me her giant coat that covered the whole of me and only my backside got wet from sitting on the seat!! Of course still a tiny bit damp in places but if you don't want to end up spending loads in the dryers take a giant coat or waterproof cover :D
My School is going to Thorpe park on the 10th and my best friend wants me to go on this and all the big rides and tbh after watching this and other vids I don't wanna go on it anymore...
its supposed to be a good ride because of the massive wall of water after you drop. your meant to get soaked :P ive not been on it but ive been studying the rides cuz i cant wait to go :P

I went Thorpe park yesterday and loved this ride! I went on it about 3 times.
Rode this on the hottest day of the year, I think it was the 22nd of July 2013, I had to queue for 3 hours because everyone wanted to cool down!:)

I went on this once and everytime I go to thorpe park with my mum she refuses to go on this because your are wet all day sometimes

In essence, yes. Though this is much shorter and will get you (and a lot of people just walking by) much wetter.
