In this video I waffle on about the good and bad points of the Fiesta and explain what I think. I also go over some of the upcoming ideas for the car
This is the car I own and use daily. I’ve got full leather interior myself, you could probably pick that up fairly cheap. The colour dash is unfortunate but I’m lucky enough to have a grey area so it’s fine, so to answer your question they do come in other colours. Jacking point covers can be a nuisance I am going to drill mine and cable tie them on 😂 do you know of “common problems” these can suffer with?
Frank Manmoon thanks for letting me know, I thought I had seen them in other colours but then all the ones I looked at had blue so thought I was dreaming it lol I’m expecting to lose the jacking points at some point in the future :( I don’t know of many common problems at the minute but one I forgot to mention was the gear changes becoming stiff. Mine is doing this so will post a video of me attempting to fix it in the future. There was a video by jay mono showing how to do this as well
DJ Lloydy well I thought I’d let you know that piston rings are apparently quite weak on these and have been an issue for some. Obviously each engine has different tolerances but thought I’d mention it anyway. Yeah gearbox in these seem to randomly blow up too, I don’t know if that’s people not having mechanical sympathy and smashing gears or not 🤷🏼♂️
Frank Manmoon if the piston rings go at least it gives me some decent hands on content!! I have a few bits that need sorting but finding the time between all these storms is proving difficult lol
DJ Lloydy fair one mate! MK6 is a decent little car. No nonsense thrills! look forward to fun videos on it. More so the RS though it being my favourite Ford and all
Frank Manmoon I hope I can deliver some good videos on it :) There is plenty to do on the Focus however haha. I agree about the MK6 being no frills, a great way to explain the car really
My st150 has heated seats, aux port in the middle and grey dash, nice car to drive extremely nippy to!

the shape is spot on i own to of them st500 o8 and a 14 climate zetec love them both but the montune set up on my st500 is scary am hooked on your vids thanks
Thanks mate means a lot! Someone I know has the MR200 and it looks like a weapon! He only uses on track though but it’s mint! What power you running in yours?
@@DJLloydy hi its running at 200 bhp scary fast its an X show car its in top mint condition with 74000 k an i was lucky to give only 3500 for it are you starting the focus
That’s decent power in one of these and at least with mountune you know it should be reliable as well!
Funny you say that as I have been clearing out the garage today to make a start on the Focus, and also fixing some more issues on the Fiesta hahahahaha
my st150 seats have not ripped apart like yours have, it's the cheap plastic tilt handles on the seats that let them down as they break, I think the boot space is good for a small car your being picky there, not many young drivers play golf & being worried about fitting golf clubs in the car.
I think the previous owner in mine used it as a delivery van hence the rips in the seats but if looked after I’m sure they would of been ok. Appreciate not everyone plays golf it’s more of a golf club challenge, if they fit in the boot then it’s a decent size but for anyone not playing golf it’s fine haha
From what I know the fiesta can be gotten with a blue, grey or red dashboard. Red being the rarest and happy to of gotten my zetec s with it as it turns heads when people walk past. The seats on mine are immaculate so must depend who's been in there. I think the current wheels should stay on. The black goes well with the white
Zain K I’m going to try the red wheels and see what they look like although they have an ET35 offset so possibly going to stick out too much :( the Focus RS wheels are black as well so may just stick them on and see also. I can imagine your red dash does turn heads! Not seen one myself
I remember when I first brought my Ford Fiesta Zetec back in 2002 brand new from reg Vardy in Walsall for £11,500 1.4 TDCI I was young in my early 20s in 3 years I waked 100,000 miles on it driving cruising looking for girls as you would in your 20s clubbing in Glasgow what young guys do after 100,000 miles the engine was still strong I really abused that car racing my friends rover GTI had no chance in hell to ever win but I gave it a go anyway quite regularly The only problem I had in that 3 years was that the suspension rear cap has come loose and was just knocking so it was fixed under the warranty twice I think they're good quality Cars even now they've lasted the test of time.
The MK6 does seem to of lasted the test of time and thankfully not looking outdated. Although saying that even the MK3 Fiestas look good IMO. Ford was definitely onto a winner with the Fiesta model.

Danny Ashton that’s about the prices we were looking at for that mileage but ended up getting the cheaper one with more miles but mainly so I could make some videos out of it haha

Danny Ashton try lower and offer cash today if you like it and maybe he will meet you in the middle? Then you have some funds to spend on a few bits for the car?
the mk6 is the best looking one out of them all i don't like the front on the new ones what was ford thinking. 2000cc it's a big engine

Bash was black the blue cost extra. I know because my wife made me buy the very last one ever sold new from a Ford dealer. She still has it. It’s done twenty thousand miles. I have a question why do some people call them a mk5 and others call the same car a mk6. And are they easy to steal. She’s decided she’d to start using it to drive to work. It will be sat on a nhs car park all day. It’ll get nicked with in a week.
And also 153k miles also my god man your st is one of the few that have gone that far

It does but for some reason mine didn’t, I have since had this replaced thsnkfully

I would love to have all 3 RS variants haha. Whats the MR200 like? I was looking at those but could not find one I liked with all the mod cons
@@DJLloydy there fun but tbh I've only done 97 miles this year in it always before test day I do 30 mile or so then the same after to check it's all good then its cleaned and put away it's a fun car there nippy in there own right but in today's world you buy a stock 1.2 corsa turbo and there nippy standard the rs on the other hand is a different type of animal I'm not a fast driver never drive them hard I just pose about popping and banging lol there just fun the rs looks evil and the sound is 👌
A question tho regarding my temperature gage, it only goes up to 75 degrees do you know why?
Is that in the middle of the gauge? Mine sits in the middle and that is normal if yours is below then you either have a bad thermostat that’s stuck open or a dodgy gauge like I did
@@DJLloydy yeah when driving it’s only gets to 75 degrees however when the car just sits there it gets to 90 but as soon as I drive it goes back down to 70-75
Sounds like the thermostat is stuck open? So constantly cooling the car with coolant going through?
@@DJLloydy I haven’t exactly looked but when the car is sitting there turned on not moving, it then gets up to temperature but as soon as I start moving it soon goes down, so more or less it’s just being cooled by the wind going threw the engine. I don’t think the fans are able to kick in

Nick Gillibrand unfortunately not going spare as will be going back on either the Focus or the Fiesta :)
Dashboards came in blue, black and red 👍 not keen on either colours tbh much prefer the black.
Rory Macdonald I thought I had seen a black style dash before but then thought it was in my imagination haha they should of done it black in my opinion as the other colours just don’t suit it. I can imagine the red being proper lairy!!
@@DJLloydy I'm assuming it was to match the blue or red seats, I have full leathers so maybe that's why I have the black dash too

Sorry I thought it had posted my reply but obviously not. The wheels are dark anthracite colour, I won’t be selling them unfortunately as the wheels I am using will be staying with the Focus. If I ever get another set for the Fiesta then I will let you know

It was from paint it U.K. in Essex, I just randomly picked the nearest to stock I could see lol

Most of the issues that you’ve had are completely down to the st that you’ve had been ragged and abused my St hasn’t got any of these problems you’ve had one that hasn’t been looked after at all!
Oh yeah for sure it’s been mistreated in its lifetime so hopefully I can refresh it back into a better state :)
What steering lock is that you use?
James the steering lock is called disclok and on eBay for about £100 at the minute
This car was made cheap and light wieght you can not buy car like that and cry about it :)
It’s more an opinion on what I do and don’t like, better that it’s lightweight as makes the car more fun
What it like on fuel?😂had my derv Astra 2weeks and already want petrol back
Depends how you drive but an average I am seeing is 28mpg, heard others say a lot less and some a little more, if you have a lead foot then don’t expect much out of it lol
DJ Lloydy honestly don’t even care about mpg tbf but it’s nice to know aha only been driving year in may so right foots still abit heavy doubt it will feel as fast as my mapped 1.9 astra but I just miss loud cars aha
Haha, if you have a mapped 1.9 then it won’t feel as fast but would probably handle a lot better and obviously sound loads better.
