Shootout has been a problem forever for Latvian hockey players. So is scoring. But really they need to attract new couching staff, change the hockey philosophy in Latvian hockey and just lift self esteem and put that mark higher
Latvia deserved this win. The Switzerland goaltender didn’t make any real saves in the shootout while the Latvia netminder made a couple of proper clutch pad saves. His team just didn’t deliver when it counted.

6:27-6:32 is Swiss offside, but stupid ref didn't call it, because he was on Switzerland side. What a blind mistake by referees of that match. Because it was obvious offside, that goal doesn't count. Latvia would have won, if it wasn't for this idiotic and ice hockey rules not knowing referees.
