Awesome demo. \m/ I have this flanger pedal too and it sounds awesome. I’m surprised that about the extreme resonator setting and that it’s capable of doing a filter matrix sound. I wanna give those setting a try.
The Pedal Bored thanks! The modulation type is set to classic chorus. Feedback is set to 0 in the editor, and feedback knob is assigned to mix. At max position it gets full wet. Then I just set the ranges of the speed and depth knobs to taste.
@@DoNoise That's how I got it set up, except I bound delay time to chorus curve type. To be honest didn't find the curve useful that much but chorus sound is good.
Do you recommend it? I used to have a boss bf-2 (japan 86) but it was stolen 😔 This seems to be a very good quality one. Oh... and is it true bypass?? Thanks ⚘
Hi man! The tones u show un This video are created by the software ?? In other words , in order to set this tones , I need to use the tone print or just to set the pots as you show in each preset ? Thanks !
Hi could you explain the output chord type you have there - is it dual mono or tip/ring type stereo out, and why not use the two outputs/ what is the diff for this specific occasion. Curious and or obsessed with the various qualities of stereo sounds. Thanks and excellent channel for sure.
I made the chorus Toneprint in the editor. You can’t download a phaser Toneprint but you can make or probably download a chorus Toneprint. Just set the feedback to minimum and increase the delay time.
@@DoNoise Excellent display of how awesome the TonePrint can shape these effects. TC still has some of my favorite digital effects, and the TonePrint feature gives so many possibilities. Source Audio has a killer setup as well, with all the shaping abilities, as well as each of their series of Flanger, Chorus, Phaser and Tremolo can be preset with effects from one another. So the Flanger could also have a Tremolo preset. Pretty cool. I’ve been wanting a Flanger to play around with, see how often if use it, with the the Vortex and Mercury being the two with the most features, at a really good price. I’d love a Thorpy Camoflange, but I’m not Flange crazy enough to spend $300...yet.
Hello sir Do Noise, Very good video! Can you help me..... I am looking for the sound Mono Chorus and Stereo Chorus. I can't find them at toneprint. What are the names in the library or did you make them yourself? Thanks.... Jelle
jeewee1411 thank you! I created the Toneprints myself but it would be very easy for you to create what you like. Choose any Toneprint template you like, set the delay time high and feedback to minimum. Other parameters to taste.
@@DoNoise Thanks dude. Bought this pedal and wasn't impressed at all, until I followed this advice, now I've got a dreamy, silky smooth chorus that adds just that smidgen off wetness to my tone :)
I created it but I don’t know which Toneprint template I started with. It’s easy, though. Set the delay time, modulation depth and feedback high (max or near max), speed to minimum. Should work on the mini as well.
I posted this in another video and I've had TC electronics stuff in the past, the current course in the Hall of Fame reverb and the stuff is awesome this pedal sounds great too but I would just like to know I've been out of the game so long will this do the Van Halen unchained thing like the mxr does, back when I played a lot the end result was the only thing to get that Van Halen sound.
Memag Neman no, as the TonePrint editor doesn't offer an easy way to share the settings. If you want to know more about any of them, I can tell you how I set it up.
@@DoNoise Thank you! Well I'd like to setup Julie and mono/stereo chorus. I want to get nice shallow chorus effect. I fiddled with it today but ended up loosing my chorus setup and couldn't get it back. Both old and new toneprint editor didn't save and can't read the setup that is already on the pedal.Kinda shame really.
What a great demo. Perhaps I will make this my next modulation pedal and first tc electronic pedal. I have had a few for no more than a day. I am skeptical for that reason. I have had bad luck with the brand
There should be a template or Toneprint for it in the editor. If you can’t find it, start with a Through Zero setting, turn the feedback down and go from there.
@@dvynal2964 Unfortunately the next time I plugged in my pedal I realized that the Toneprint editor app was updated and I couldn't find my Toneprints. I'm afraid they are gone.

It’s not only a flanger. This pedal is also a mxr90, and a ehx small clone.
What a demo. Really awesome, congrats.
This is a fucking fantastic demo. Good job
Thanks so much!

Has anyone tried this on a synthesizer? If so how does it apply? I like what i hear but cant find any review on synths
As of 2023 this pedal is 12 years old. Does that make it vintage? I need to dig mine out!
Kind of

Hi,
You need to use the Toneprint Editor to create most of these sounds.
@@DoNoise yes! But , when I select the eq of modulation, I move the line of this and don’t feel any variation … it’s normal ?
@@juanmanuelescobarcortes8628 I’m not sure. You can try asking on TC Electronic (or Music Tribe) forums. They might be more helpful.

I’m just using two cables on two outputs of the pedal. They are EBS Flat patch cables.
I almost want to get one solely for the Extreme Resonator setting
DaviJay Chamberlain I really like that as well! I couldn't replicate that sound with other flanger pedals I tried.
Can I download chorus or phaser TonePrint to vortex? How did you download chorus?

looking for a subtle Electric Mistress sound... any thoughts
Ray this does a nice subtle flanger but I haven't spent a lot of time with a Mistress style pedal so I can't make a direct comparison.
How I can set like Van Halen MXR Unchained Flanger???
Check the manual
It also got Michael paget tone print can you make video on it

Why they would make the Mash function for the delay and not the flanger is beyond me.
This is older than the Mash stuff but it sure would be nice if they updated the Vortex and put a Mash switch.

I focused on creating different sounds for this video since there are already lots of demos showing the flanger sounds of this pedal
