Pinion angle looks critical on rear axle. I think the XJ Dana 30 front axle looks good to me. More available than Toyota axles$$$ Just subbed. I've got a 93 Toyota bracket lift with original ifs. I like the fact the ifs axles remain same angle static. Not a crawler live WAAAAY off grid only need function for Ruff daily trail. Do you know of anyone who has a bracket lift kit for Tracker/Sidekick?? Dandahrrmit
Back in the 90s ProComp made a bracket lift but I think it was too expensive and didn’t sell. I’ve kicked around the idea of making one. I’ve had a couple sidekicks in the past and love them. On this sidekick we did the best we could with the drive shafts and limited budget. Thanks for sub and watching!
Hey, i have a question thats probably a little off the wall. I have a buddy whos a paraplegic (can only drive auto) and we're about to build him a Samurai. I have the Samurai with front and rear axles but no other drive train parts. I was wandering if i can install a Tracker/Side Kick 16v along with the auto trans/transfer case. Do you think this is doable? Im pretty new to Suzukis but I really want to do this for him.
It’s doable, the auto trans is wider than the manual so the funnel needs widened. TRAIL TOUGH makes a kit. Use the rear axle from thee track/kick too as it’s a centered diff, then use the track/kick front gears in the Sami front axle so they match. Sami is 3.73.and track/kicks are 4.30, 5.12,4.62, etc, no 3.73.
I live not far from you. I can lend you my 1989 bone stock on 235’s Sidekick to use as a Guinea pig. Rust free low miles and runs/drives perfect. Just give me a deal on the work you do and you can go hog wild. I do have a new in the box BDS lift for it.
Thanks for all the hard work. I am very happy with it. Cant wait to get it on the trails.
What's your top speed with the 35s and 5.29s? I'd like to be able to still cruise at 60 MPH ... I'll settle for 50 MPH too though lol.
Have not put the tracker on the road. Was built as a trail rig. It does 20mph on gravel OK. @@spencerbrown9525

Crazy Cooool...
what does something like this cost? maybe even a ball park? I have been wanting to do the same to my tracker!
He has approx $6k in the Toyota axle swap. A lot depends on what deals you find on the used parts.

😊
What do you charge to do this?
This one was 3k in labor
Do you have a video of the sniper efi install on your samurai
I don’t, but I can make one.
That would be great!

I have a soft spot for sidekicks. I have had 2 ‘96 4 doors. I want to do a lift that keeps all the angles happy. (Cv’s etc,). Cool rigs.
How Tall is it with the yj springs is it lower than a trail slayer
Not sure, I’ve never been around a trail slayer.
I’d say it’s 6-8” of lift. It’s tall in the video, it still had a 2” body lift, the owner plans on removing it.
