Weinstein faces up to 25 years in prison and will be sentenced in March.
He was convicted on lesser charges of third-degree rape and a criminal sexual act in the first degree but he was acquitted of the most serious charges of predatory sexual assault.
He had denied all charges.

These are two different things. Each accusation needs to be investigated and prosecuted. Two wrongs doesn’t mean any are right. This happens a lot. Happens to regular women. @Paulo Eclectik Gold diggers should not be prosecuted. Marrying and fucking an old guy in return for money is not a crime. Just like giving jewels and money to a woman in return for fucking her is not a crime. It's morally wrong, sure, but it's not a crime. Amber wasn't a gold digger. She is an abuser. She assaulted her partner mentally and physically and that is punishable by law. This matter should be investigated thoughtfully and she should be prosecuted. At the very least, she should lose her role in Aqua-man.

As a young nurse and as a nurse practitioner I had to leave multiple jobs due to sexual harassment and in one instance an attempted rape. As I was told at the time, "no one in going to take your word over mine, I'm a doctor, a hospital administrator or a manager and you're just a nurse". Regardless of the profession, the overwhelming sense of entitlement of men in positions of power and misogyny is rampant in the USA.

Left unable to form romantic attachment in some cases, unable to love themselves anymore. As much as I despise and dislike Weinstein, the MeToo movement comes across as a bunch of angry middle-class feminists who are politically motivated by gender conspiracies, rather than studying any factual evidence. In my opinion, Weinstein hasn't had a fair trial. From day one when the tabloids printed the allegations, he was labeled a sex beast without a court verdict. It's called a witch hunt. I was brought up with the idea, you're innocent until proven guilty. The way I see it, Weinstein is a randy old pervert and many smart women capitalized on he's sexual weaknesses and used it to advance their careers in Hollywood. It's a bit like the very attractive receptionist who wears a very short skirt to work and 4 years later, she's running HR.

Um, not entirely true. Zelda Perkins was forced to sign a life-long NDA in 1998 by Weinstein's legion of lawyers after confronting the fat pig about assaulting one of her colleagues. Yeah, she was paid off to the tune of $168K for the NDA (so nothing dodgy there eh?!!!) - but she had also quit working for Weinstein prior to that totally not suspicious transaction. Despite crapping herself she was the first to break said NDA and helped bring him down.
I think the assistant was in a really horrible place with all this and a terrible position to be in with all this. We all must be humble and forthcoming with this stuff coming forward.
No protecting your own ass so you don't get in trouble. We should be getting the predators off the streets.

I've been digging into the trials focused on answering one question, that is did Weinstein ever not honor the word "no," the actual critical question, and none of the idiot talking heads seems to grasp that is the critical question. He's a bully, a trickster, a lying philanderer and a creep of the highest order, but was there good evidence he ever continued upon getting a verbal or nonverbal indication of non-consent?
It seems quite plausible that in this trial by media and trial by emotional reasoning that a man who always honored the word "no" has to do 22 years behind bars anyway.

very true. These women's testimonies were so lacking in credibility the whole case should have been thrown out before it ever got this far.
