So great to see a younger generation taking the time to explore Madonna. She is the biggest selling female artist of all time even after 40 years in the industry and we are talking about physical record sales of 400 million, all before the time of downloading and streaming… Her popularity through the 80’s and 90’s was unmatched, even compared to the popularity of Taylor Swift now, that pales in comparison to Madonna’s popularity in her heyday day. Madonna is a legend. Would love to see more. Ironically Madonna was never known for her voice - although the criticism is overblown. Madonna is known for producing more top 10 singles than any other artist, bringing infectious pop melodies, innovative music videos, ability to cross countless music genres, boundary pushing content, messages of empowerment for the under represented, show stoping, high energy concerts & being the most successful female artist of all time. Her career spans 5 decades. Top Iconic video/song suggestions: 1. Like a Prayer, 2. Vogue 3.Like a Virgin 4.Material Girl 5.Frozen 6. Hung Up 7. Papa Don’t Preach, 8. Borderline 9. Express Yourself 10. Human Nature. Finally, RUclips views are not a good barometer for song popularity as many of her hits were BEFORE RUclips existed and only uploaded decades later.
An icon BACK IN THE DAY?! She’s still sold out tours as of this year. As someone who went in a Madonna deep dive In 2012 I realized that she’s still relevant and still the queen of pop. She’s one of the few artist to begin in the 80s but not get trapped in that era of music. She’s way more than a “back in the day” artist This year alone she broke the record for the highest attendance for a single concert with more than 1.6 million people in attendance
she is the OG pop diva, Gaga, Rihanna, Beyonce, Ariana, Britney, all of them pop divas have followed Madonna's formula, she's the blueprint. My favourite Madonna classic from the 80s is Live to Tell, from the 90s The Power of Good-Bye, from the 00s Hung Up, and the 2010s Ghosttown
She was and IS an icon . Once an icon always an icon . Thanks for the reaction. I would recommend borderline if you want to see very early New York Madonna vibes
She's a female version of Michael Jackson and Prince, truly an icon. I suggest songs like: Like A Prayer, Papa Don’t Preach, Like a virgin, Holiday. You won't regret it.
Madonna in the 80s and 90s was a force of nature, and gleefully courted controversy from her very first single, and tops all female artists with nine albums each selling over 10 million records. Her video for 1989's Like A Prayer cost her a $5 million dollar advertising deal with Pepsi over outrage from the Vatican itself. She also quickly moved from music to film, with a critically lauded performance in Desperately Seeking Susan (along with many...not so lauded). She also had a major appearance in the 1990 film Dick Tracy, (along with contributing to the soundtrack) and a well-regarded supporting role in A League Of Their Own in 1992. One of her most iconic roles was as Eva Peron in the 1996 feature film adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Weber's musical, Evita. FYI, Like A Prayer is absolutely a video to react to. Another interesting one to react to would be Like A Virgin, which holds the distinction of being the ONLY time in his career that Weird Al Yankovic accepted a suggestion for one of his parodies: Madonna HERSELF proposed he make "Like A Surgeon." This would make a fun double-feature (I'd actually like to see reactors do that: Watch both the original song and the Weird Al version on a video).
Papa Don’t Preach- Madonna. Madonna pushed the envelope with her songs, this was definitely one of them. Mia, I highly recommend you watch the music video with this banger. Love to see you react to it! Madonna’s catalogue runs very deep. She was the dominant female voice of the 80s.
There are amazing songs and videos of Madonna: Like a prayer, Express Yourself, Material Girl, Papa don't preach, Oh father, Vogue, Bad girl, Bedtime Story, Frozen, Music...
Madonna is the most influential and successful artist of all time, she became more then an artist or pop juggernaut, she became an unstoppable force of nature and unmatched cultural icon, if you decide to dive into her legacy, it will probably change your life, her catalog is so versatile and unique she never followed trends(she would start trends) The music industry as we know it today Is a result of the impact she had in it She is the” ICON “of what a music artist aspires to be
No other female pop artist has dominated 2 decades like Madonna... Mariah Carey, Taylor Swift, Britney Spears, come close... but Madonna is the standard... Born Madonna Louise Ciccone to an Italian family in Michigan, Madonna lost her mom at age 5 to cancer - I believe it traumatized her for life. She studied dance and took music lessons as a teen and eventually dropped out of college to move to NYC in the late 70's to become a singer... However, she was also subjected to sexual abuse there. To make ends meet, she posed in nude modeling; she regretted it after she became famous when Playboy bought the nude pics and published them. After persistence & performing in the early 80's, Madonna was finally signed to Sire Records and released her debut album in 1983, scoring early hits like 'Holiday'... 'Lucky Star' ... 'Borderline'... 2nd album 'Like a virgin' in 1984 made Madonna an international superstar, charting at #1 and scoring major hits - 'Like a virgin' ... 'Angel' ... 'Into the groove' ... Her hit single 'Material girl' ... gave her the nickname. The album sold 21 million copies worldwide. Madonna made headlines performing 'Like a virgin' in 1984 at the MTV Video Music Awards on TV in a wedding dress and a sexually-charged performance. She also performed at Live Aid 1985 for charity. 'True blue' her 3rd album in 1986 which featured 'La isla bonita' as a single... sold 25 million copies worldwide w/ hits like - 'Live to tell'... 'Open your heart' ... "Papa don't preach"... Madonna also began an acting career and appeared in numerous major movies... She sang the lead single "Who's that girl" for her movie of the same name in 1987. By 1989, Madonna was making more headlines w/ her divorce from actor Sean Penn and various controversies... Her 4th album 'Like a prayer' was one of her best records but was overshadowed by tabloid stories... record sales dropped to 15 million worldwide after the music video for the single 'Like a prayer' got banned by MTV for its controversial imagery... Still, Madonna hit singles kept coming: 'Express yourself'... 'Cherish' ... 'Keep it together'... Madonna marked her decade in music w/ a best-of release - 'The immaculate collection' in 1990 and it sold 30 million copies worldwide (best selling solo artist compilation record in history) ... the sultry single 'Justify my love' charted at #1 despite the music video being banned by MTV again for sexual images. Madonna also starred in the movie 'Dick Tracy' and recorded the soundtrack album "I'm breathless" in 1990 which featured her hit single 'Vogue'. Madonna released her 5th album 'Erotica' in 1992 and also published a book titled 'Sex' of her nude pics... Later, she realized that the controversies had gone a step too far, given the sexual themes of the record and her lead role in the erotic thriller movie 'Body of evidence' didn't help ... The album sold considerably less (2x platinum) and 6 million worldwide w/ the singles - 'Deeper and deeper'... 'Erotica'... Madonna's dating life became more prevalent in tabloid press. Frustrated w/ the response, Madonna chose to tone down the imagery and focus more on the music in 1994 on her 6th album 'Bedtime stories'... It sold better (8 million copies worldwide) and scored hit singles - 'Secret'... 'Take a bow'... 'Human nature'... It was followed by a ballad collection release in 1995 - 'Something to remember'... which sold 10 million copies worldwide w/ the single "You'll see"... Madonna filmed the movie 'Evita' - a musical about Evita Peron of Argentina... She sang on the soundtrack and scored a hit - "Don't cry for me Argentina"... At that time, she became pregnant w/ fitness trainer Carlos Leone and welcomed her first daughter Lourdes in 1996. Motherhood inspired Madonna's 7th album 'Ray of light' in 1998 and incorporated modern techno pop music ... w/ the hits - 'Frozen' ... 'Ray of light'... 'The power of goodbye'... it sold 4 million copies in the US, 16 million worldwide. 'Music' was Madonna's 8th album in 2000 and it was another massive hit - #1 on the charts and 11 million copies worldwide (3 million in the US) w/ the singles - "Music" ... "Don't tell me" ... Madonna was one of the highest grossing female artists on tour in the 2000's and her later albums sold less in the digital downloading era but still kept Madonna at a peak ... Her last album was 'Madame X' in 2019.
EARLY Madonna is part of my childhood, in my opinion, her most relevant and best years. La Isla Bonita is her most watched video if I'm not mistaken...it has an international flavor with the Spainish vibes and Spainish guitar throughout. Really like this vid of hers.
Madonna has so many hits over her 40 year career so it’s hard to pick favourites. Also she sings many different styles from pop, dance to ballads so depends on what you prefer. For dance/upbeat music I would recommend….Into the Groove, Like a Prayer, Express Yourself, Vogue, Ray of Light, Music, Me Against the Music (with Britney Spears), Hung Up, Get Together. For ballads/softer songs I would suggest…Take a Bow, Live to Tell, Crazy for You, Cherish, Borderline, Power of Goodbye, Frozen, Ghostown. Sorry for suggesting so many, but there are way too many to choose from.
Take a look how gorgeous she is into her 50 years old with HUNG UP (oficial video) or her presenting it live for the 1st time into EMAs (MADONNA HING UP LIVE EMA) This woman is incredible ❤
The song style is basically 80s pop, but in a latin vibe. Wikipedia says it's "...been described as a 'Latino-pop dance ballad', while its sound has been compared to Bossa nova." So, it's sort of a stew of different genres, a very pleasing one!
Madonna is the female Michael Jackson. Like with Mike, there's fans who only know the early stuff. She had hits in multiple decades. Record tours now and just set a single concert record of 1.6 million people. So still sort of a big deal. 👑❤
This song came out in 1986, 2 years before i was even born, but still always sounds to me like early 90s Nostalgia to me cause my Mom was always collecting the CDs and as a Kid i used to hear Madonna too, the Leo Queen, cause that's her Zodiac sign, the fuel of her flame💃😄
Consider diving into her back catalogue, videos and live performances. Such an amazing career she’s had. I saw her live for the first time earlier this year. She is the greatest live performer of all time.
Madonna from ‘82-‘07 was greater than any other female artist in history. The fact that she’s still in the business and making quality content is groundbreaking for the industry and yet not surprising if you know basic facts about her.
During the 1980's, there were two REALLY big music genres: Rock (with all the famous bands, like Queen, Bon Jovi, Guns N' Roses, AC/DC, U2...) and Pop (with the first real "popstars", as we know them nowadays). As far Pop Music goes, its royalty was founded in those early years: first, Michael Jackson (The King) released "Thriller" in 1982; then, Madonna (The Queen) released "Madonna" in 1983; finally, Prince (The... Prince) released "Purple Rain" in 1984. Madonna is, to this day, the TOP #1 Ever female artist in terms of worldwide album sales (she ranks at number #5 in general, behind The Beatles, MJ, Elvis and Queen, respectively). Alongside Michael, she's totally revolutionized music videos and dance - they both have shaped the notion and concept of the contemporary "popstar", as we usually call artists the likes of Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, Adele, Ed Sheeran etc. Besides, a fun fact about this very song ("La Isla Bonita") is that it was supposed to be originally performed by Michael, since its composer, Patrick Leonard, first offered the demo to him and his producer then, Quincy Jones, but they turned it down. A couple of years later, after Patrick was already working with Madonna, he gave her his demo for the song, and they both wrote the lyrics - she came up with the title. Finally, I really think you should react to more Madonna songs and music videos - some of her best ones are: "Like A Prayer" (1989), "Like A Virgin" (1984), "Papa Don't Preach" (1986), "Into The Groove" (1985), "Everybody" (1983), "Vogue" (1990), "Burning Up" (1983), "Holiday" (1983), "Material Girl" (1984) and "Lucky Star" (1983).
More must hear/see Madonna: „Like a prayer“ (top early nineties) „Frozen“ (cutting edge video back in the day) or „Power of Goodbye“ (last bangers at the end of her career in the late nineties) (And then there is much more, like „take a bow“, „papa don‘t preach“ etc)
Madonna is great, she's iconic and had many hits. I suggest "Vogue" "Express Yourself" "Into The Groove" "Gambler" "Crazy For You" "Like A Prayer" "Dress You Up" "Live To Tell" "Material Girl" "Holiday" "Like A Virgin" "Who's That Girl" and "Open Your Heart." She has more, but this is a good start. My father was born in San Pedro. Also, I suggest Weird Al Yankovic--Like A Surgeon, Eat It, Amish Paradise, and White And Nerdy.
I never suggested Madonna because I thought it was all about Rock and Rap reactions. Now that I know.. "Papa Don't Preach", "Material Girl", "What It's Like For A Girl", and "Hung Up". Then there's Blondie who influenced her. "Call Me" and "Rapture Delight". 😂❤❤❤❤
Another classic song. You should do a little series on the top songs from the 80's and 90's. There are so many that you might not have ever heard that you might even like.
Though I was pretty much a rock & metal guy back in the days, I have to admit, I quite liked Madonna. A few of my favourites: From the very early days, "Into the Groove", from the 90s "Vouge", "Justify my Love", "Frozen", from the early 2000s "Hung Up"
Dude. I'm a metal guy now, and I love most of her music. And that's why metal listeners and community is the best because we listen to everything, and a lot of everything. 🤘
So much great music from them and your channel will be busy for a long while as the more you react to it reminds some of us OG's how much great music we had then. Pat Bennater, Patrice Rushen, The Police, Duran Duran, Cindi Lauper, Styx, Pat Matheny, U2, Lionel Richie, Queensryche to name a few. You have so much great music ahead of you.
Madonna is a legend and an icon because of all the unforgettable songs she sang, particularly in the 80s and 90s. I hope you'll review other songs like Like a Virgin, Material Girl, Borderline, Papa Don't Preach, Crazy for You, True Blue, Vogue, etc.
Musically speaking 1980s Madonna was the best version of Madonna. She really showed her versatility doing danceable tracks like 'Borderline', 'Lucky Star', 'Into the Groove, etc. And then there were her ballads. 'Live to Tell' is my favorite of her slower ballads. Insofar as her 1990s songs, I think the Evita soundtrack songs were her finest.
"Madonna is widely regarded as one of the most successful and influential artists of all time. Often referred to as the 'Queen of Pop,' her impact on music, fashion, and culture is unparalleled. Respect."
Haven't heard that song in a very long time, thanks. Madonna was my celebrity teenage crush. Kind of embarrassing but I had her pictures all over my school binder but then I found a real girl to crush on. Good times.😊
She has a big catalogue... There are a lot of versions of Madonna through her career. I recommend you to react to Hung Up, Ghosttown, Bitch I'm Madonna, Girl Gone Wild and God Control. These are more recently in her career
Madonna is one of the most important musical artists of the last half century. An absolute icon! Welcome to learning all about her! My fave Madonna tracks aren't necessarily her most famous ones: "Love Don't Live Here Anymore," "Oh Father," and "Papa Don't Preach" are at the top of the list for me.
Lucky star, Holiday, Like a Prayer and Material Girl are good places to start. Love the reaction! Madonna is a icon, her early songs remind me of growing up in the 80s.. They were always playing on the radio.
M"La Isla Bonita" is a 1986 Latin and pop song performed by Madonna. The song is about a beautiful island called La Palma in the Canary Islands in Spain. When this song came out I was in the car with my Cuban Mother who hadn't heard it yet. When Madonna sings and/or speaks Spanish my Mother says "Ai La Madonna habla Español y que clarito lo habla!" 😂 "La Isla Bonita" marked a departure in Madonna's sound, as it combines flamenco guitar, Latin percussion, electronic sounds, maracas, and includes four lines sung in Spanish. It won't be her only departure either because she spends her entire career exploring the boundaries of music and her artistry therein. Be careful what you ask for when it comes to recommendations of Madonna songs. She has quite the lengthy discography but if you answer my post and want me to put together a guideline of the 40 plus years of her music I'd be happy to do it with no strings attached and free of charge. It would be from a standpoint that I haven't seen anyone responding to her music on here. Madonna usually has something to say with her music whether it's in the lyrics or the visuals. Nothing that she writes or includes in her videos or live shows is there just for aesthetic purposes. It usually symbolizes a nod to someone, to a time period or a cause. I'll give you this now but through it all her through line message has been love. We need to love each other by having empathy and humanity for others. It makes perfect sense to look at what's going on right now. If we stick together, love each other & help each other we can as a collective or civilization of human beings rise to a higher consciousness to vibrate at a higher frequency. Madonna has had a significant impact on pop culture, music, fashion, feminism, and celebrity culture. She's known as the "Queen of Pop" and has been called one of the most well-documented and photographed figures of the modern age. Here are some reasons why Madonna is still important and relevant: BROKE GENDER BARRIERS Madonna's success helped break gender barriers and influenced how future female singers were received by the media, public, and academia. CHAMPIONED FEMALE SEXUALITY Madonna's celebration of female sexuality has been polarizing critics for generations. She turned wedding dresses into bold statements of female sexuality. INFLUENCED OTHER ARTISTS Madonna's fearless experimentation with music and style has influenced countless artists and designers who have followed in her footsteps. REINVENTED HERSELF (I prefer peeling back layers showing us more of who she is.) Madonna's ability to reinvent herself or remain true to her artistry and staying ahead of the curve has made her a pop legend. CHALLENGED CONSERVATIVE IDEALS Madonna's rebellious image, controversial actions, and songs with provoking lyrics and messages helped begin a resurgence of the counterculture in the 1980s. Not that she has said so publicly and there's no doubt in my mind that the things that she does today is to further push against and bring light to ageism and misogyny towards older people but specifically older women. Why should anyone be told what to do or not to because they simply grew older. If anything older adults have more rights to do what they want to do because they've earned it. Why should she or anyone else just walk away from their career because their deemed too old but are still productive and viable. The thing is that those who think that should stop paying attention to matters that don't interest them and simply move on. Madonna has basically been written off since the beginning of her career. She was a one hit wonder, she sounded like Minnie mouse on helium, she's done, she won't ever put out the another album, she's talentless, she's pretty & sexy but she can't sing etc etc etc. Madonna was told to put her shirt back on in an article entitled "Grandma Put Your Shirt Back On!" Madonna was 33 years old. Just a little background but there's much much more. LOL! 😆🤣
Madonna was MASSIVE in the 80s and that time of her music made her a legend. Were there other singers better than her? Absolutely. I was always a Cyndi Lauper, Belinda Carlisle, Gloria Estefan and Sade fan over her, but her presence and appeal through the decade was undeniable. Do I like her music? Of course! I heard her constantly on the radio as a teen and young adult. She deserves her fame but just know she was not the greatest singer for some of us in that crazy decade. The background music is based on Latin/Puerto Rican/Caribbean feel. "Dress You Up in My Love" is my favorite song of hers and her version of "Don't Cry for Me Argentina" is excellent.
MIA, thanks for the reaction. Love LOVE LOVE Madonna!! Here is a small list of Songs to react to: Dress You Up Papa Don't Preach Express Yourself Frozen Music Hung Up VOGUE!!!
4:58 I always referred to this background music as Flamenco. There are Sub Genres of Flamenco music. Madonna’s 💃 dancing in the red dress ties into the traditional flamenco dance from southern Spain. Loved your reaction 👏
I enjoyed Madonnas music a lot growing up, her best music is 1982-1995, her music fell off a bit afterwards in my opinion. She was the blueprint for a lot of artist that came after. She was known for changing her look with each era/album, a trend that artist like Rihanna emulated later. A trailblazer for sure. Here’s a list of some songs I think you might like, these are my favorites. -Bordeline -Take a bow -Cherish -Rain -Like A prayer -Crazy for you -Live to tell -Papa Don’t preach -Open Your heart -Human Nature
Yes! react to 80's and 90's Madonna! Papa Don't Preach, Open Your Heart, Cherish, Like a Prayer, Burning Up, Oh Father, Crazy For You, are some of her greatest 80's hits. Then you can move on to the 90's.
Hi Mia! Definitely Latin Tropical vibes. Madonna has a host of great songs especially in her 1st 5 years. She was HUGE in the mid 80s. Many songs that were in movies.

Yes but then it also get even better
90s M is the best
Have to disagree with you there. She has released amazing music across 4 decades not just in the 80s
Madonna is the most popular woman ever. Sold more records than any female artist ever. Biggest female ever.
That's not even true. Both Celine Dion and Mariah Carey have sold more.
@@radicalreactions1633wrong, check the Guinness book of world records

Still, Madonna hit singles kept coming:
'Express yourself'...
Express Yourself, Vogue, Burning Up, Oh Father, Girl Gone Wild, the list is endless
La isla Bonita live girlie show 93 will blow your mind
Take a look how gorgeous she is into her 50 years old with
HUNG UP (oficial video) or her presenting it live for the 1st time into EMAs (MADONNA HING UP LIVE EMA)
This woman is incredible ❤
The song has an Island people, Caribbean calypso feel to it.
The song style is basically 80s pop, but in a latin vibe. Wikipedia says it's "...been described as a 'Latino-pop dance ballad', while its sound has been compared to Bossa nova." So, it's sort of a stew of different genres, a very pleasing one!
This is one of my top three favorite songs by Madonna.
Madonna is the female Michael Jackson. Like with Mike, there's fans who only know the early stuff. She had hits in multiple decades. Record tours now and just set a single concert record of 1.6 million people. So still sort of a big deal. 👑❤
Agree with you 👍👍👍
@@sasapetroski981 Appreciate you. ❤
The first song that I heard of Madonna's was like a virgin back in 1984, and I loved it
It sounds like music from a Mexican telenovela 🇲🇽
One of Madonna’s early songs I recommended is Lucky Star
One of my favorite Madonna songs.
Vogue; Material Girl, Holiday are all Madonna’s great songs.
Madonna from ‘82-‘07 was greater than any other female artist in history. The fact that she’s still in the business and making quality content is groundbreaking for the industry and yet not surprising if you know basic facts about her.
Well maybe YOU should learn the basics, period. Celine and Mariah
Thanks!
"Crazy for you" is her best. Then, "Like a Prayer." Oh, what I could teach you about the 80s and 90s music.
early Madonna, especially 80's, is just amazing
This is among my favorite Madonna songs! Also: Like a Prayer, Papa Don't Preach, Into the Groove, Ray of Light, and Justify My Love!
She was fabulous in Evita
This song sparked an interest in deciding to live and retire in tropical climates and Countries...
And here I am.
Costa Rica. Philippines. Bali
Just discovered your channel. Excited to see your future reactions to her music!
"Justify My Love" and "Like a Prayer" are my favorites ... love your honest reviews btw!
Her prime years were early 1980s to early 1990s. She was a music force. Named the Queen of pop.
She has a great song and video with Massive Attack”I want you” up your alley. Sensual and moody
I like Madonna in the 80s and early 90s after that I kind of drifted away from her. Her music was great though and I still love hearing it.😍🎶
Take a Bow is my favorite Madonna track
Like a Prayer, and Pappa Don't Preach are my two favorites of hers
I never suggested Madonna because I thought it was all about Rock and Rap reactions. Now that I know.. "Papa Don't Preach", "Material Girl", "What It's Like For A Girl", and "Hung Up". Then there's Blondie who influenced her. "Call Me" and "Rapture Delight". 😂❤❤❤❤
Another classic song. You should do a little series on the top songs from the 80's and 90's. There are so many that you might not have ever heard that you might even like.
Love this music production and fire vocals obviously! Her song Live to Tell is a ballad, very moving vocal and music.
I have loved Madonna since high school, in 1984. But, then again I am from Detroit, so was she. My favorite song of hers is Into the Groove ❤
I was growing up during this period (late teens). It was a lot of fun back then...
That’s a legend right there. She’s my girl. Always was and always will be. Still enjoy her new music can’t wait for the new album!!
I saw Madonna in 83 in Detroit. The “material girl” tour, she had the Beastie Boys open for her.
I guess I would go with “Material Girl”
Material Girl definitely suits Mia.
Thanks 😊 for another amazing reaction Ur reactions help me get by each day so I can't thank you enough looking forward to Ur next upload ❤❤🤗
Oh, and one of my favs, "into the groove"
Very nice song, I particularly like the classic guitar in the background, it catch your attention!
Madonna, take a bow ft Babyface. Love That song!!!
1000%
"Like a Prayer" on loop. No me canso de escucharla una y otra vez. The music video is so meaningfull.
M"La Isla Bonita" is a 1986 Latin and pop song performed by Madonna. The song is about a beautiful island called La Palma in the Canary Islands in Spain.
When this song came out I was in the car with my Cuban Mother who hadn't heard it yet. When Madonna sings and/or speaks Spanish my Mother says "Ai La Madonna habla Español y que clarito lo habla!" 😂
"La Isla Bonita" marked a departure in Madonna's sound, as it combines flamenco guitar, Latin percussion, electronic sounds, maracas, and includes four lines sung in Spanish.
Here are some reasons why Madonna is still important and relevant:
BROKE GENDER BARRIERS
Madonna's success helped break gender barriers and influenced how future female singers were received by the media, public, and academia.
CHAMPIONED FEMALE SEXUALITY
Madonna's celebration of female sexuality has been polarizing critics for generations. She turned wedding dresses into bold statements of female sexuality.
INFLUENCED OTHER ARTISTS
Madonna's fearless experimentation with music and style has influenced countless artists and designers who have followed in her footsteps.
REINVENTED HERSELF (I prefer peeling back layers showing us more of who she is.)
Madonna's ability to reinvent herself or remain true to her artistry and staying ahead of the curve has made her a pop legend.
CHALLENGED CONSERVATIVE IDEALS
Madonna's rebellious image, controversial actions, and songs with provoking lyrics and messages helped begin a resurgence of the counterculture in the 1980s.
LOL! 😆🤣
great choice and love your transparency and reactions. Madonna favorites are Like a Prayer and Papa Dont Preach
Here is a small list of Songs to react to:
Dress You Up
Papa Don't Preach
Express Yourself
Frozen
Music
Hung Up
VOGUE!!!
Co-signing all of these
This song was recorded on vcr casette from Mtv and listen 20 times every day during 90s😊😊😊True Blue is very popular song
Madonna - "GONE" .. underrated song. She can sing
If you like this period of music, try David Bowie. I happy you were able to hear from me tonight.
1987. Chill was intense
Her song "Who's That Girl" is in a similar vain to this song
Was big in the charts when I had my first days in school - always remember and feel that way
4:58 I always referred to this background music as Flamenco.
-Bordeline
-Take a bow
-Cherish
-Rain
-Like A prayer
-Crazy for you
-Live to tell
-Papa Don’t preach
-Open Your heart
-Human Nature
Biggest selling female recording artist of all time...reaction to open your heart madonna
Yes! react to 80's and 90's Madonna! Papa Don't Preach, Open Your Heart, Cherish, Like a Prayer, Burning Up, Oh Father, Crazy For You, are some of her greatest 80's hits. Then you can move on to the 90's.
The music behind this iconic track always gave me flamenco vibes! 💪🏽❤️ You also would like "Holiday", "Borderline" & "Dress You Up".
Hi Mia! Definitely Latin Tropical vibes. Madonna has a host of great songs especially in her 1st 5 years. She was HUGE in the mid 80s. Many songs that were in movies.
Latin is from Europe.
Try “Like A Prayer”. It’s a great song and video but it was insanely controversial when it came out. Pepsi dropped Madonna because of it.
It's funny because now cause companies went full woke in the other direction
