Indian aviation is the fastest-growing aviation sector in entire southeast & asia.
Tata's Air India has ordered 190 Boeing 777 & 777b, plus 270 Airbus A380s & 320s. 61 aircrafts have already been received. Total investment is $161billion dollars.
India's Indogo has confirmed orders to manufacturers for 170 Airbus A320s narrow body, 98 Airbus A380s wide body aircrafts. Also confirmed orders for 142 Boeing 777 Dreamliner have been placed.
Number of airports in 2012 was 79, today the number is 198 & 47 are under construction.
Forigen airline participation / flights to & from India have risen by 112%.
So think before you talk, get your facts.
PIA is a disgusting failure, just like pakistan itself.

Air India new planes orders
470 aircraft
Tata Group that took control of Air India in January 2022 had placed orders for 470 aircraft from Airbus and Boeing at $70 billion earlier this year. Its Boeing aircraft order for 220 aircraft comprised 190 Boeing 737MAX narrowbody planes, 20 Boeing 787 Dreamliners and 10 Boeing 777X.6 Dec 2023
Indigo new planes orders
The 500 planes ordered in June 2023 are scheduled to be delivered to IndiGo between 2030 and 2035. From its previous order with Airbus, the airline is scheduled to receive deliveries of about 460 planes by 2030. Therefore, Airbus is set to deliver a total of 990 aircraft (30 + 500 + 460) to IndiGo by 2035.25 Apr 2024

Faisal Waheed should have asked the participants of this discussion about the accounting Head that the Management of PIA has debited in the books of the Airline to transfer the losses to the new holding company. I am not clear about the Accounting entries recorded in the books of PIA so that the new buyers do not take over the losses and the liabilities. The anchor should have asked these important questions

PIA since long time is an orphan house to flourish feed peoples from all over except country without any meritocracy ignoring PIA home ground .Its a
despairing situation .Ironicaly
most of PIA employees particularly in engineering (I had person experience myself. )are inept and there is no urge to learn.Backed by high official on sympathical bases to regional belongings When the top hierarchy is in collusion with some scheme with myopic vision .The ultimately decades long manipulation and enablement had bruoght at this stage
