I don’t know what is more stupid, the fact that you went past cavern limits without proper cave training or equipment, the fact that you drug two of your buddies along with you, or the fact that you posted it all to a public forum. If you want to do dumb shit with your buddies, do us all a favor and keep it a secret. This kind of disrespect for sites like this will get them shut down for all of us.

Complete newbie here so genuine question. What were they doing/equipment they had told you they weren’t trained for this? I know from watching other videos you’re not allowed beyond the locked gate without accreditation.

This is the stuff that hurts the sport. We are very fortunate that scuba is self certified and regulated by the scuba community. Careless actions like this is what makes people think the government needs to regulate everything. Please stay within your training and use the proper equipment for the benefit of everyone.

Your lucky vortex has a sand bottom or you would have silted it so bad by standing and flopping around you would be dead.
