It still bothers me how re3 happened first before 2, and yet there are still some places in the RPD where re3 characters cant go in because it was either bordered or blocked. Though they were there first
Like seriously, some zombies are the tidy type always cleaning stuff up putting them where they belong. If raccoon hadn't been destroyed it would have ended up neat and clean, floors wiped and everything :/
but there are still police officers in the rpd, may be they are on the other places that cannot be explored, where marvin must be. I bet the right side of the RPD building was safe, where its the “keep out” sign. They may have moved those things when it was no longer safe to be on that side of the rpd.
the rpd is still occupied by survivors. marvin, the cop that gets cut in half in re2, infected civilians...that's why the re3 segments are barricaded. the barricades are removed, probably by zombies or other survivors, after the re3 segment and before leon and claire get tot he rpd.
Normally I’d say “dude it’s a video game” but with this situation literally you have the spade key locking doors to the library and east side Claire goes through. The blockades I could MAYBE see for when you’re in the stars office hallway since you won’t be going to the library anyway, but still. Games gotta game my friend. Games gotta game.

The relation and differences in focus between original RE2 and 3 are depicted good in remakes. While playing Leon and Claire we felt rookie in RE2, RE3 main characters felt more professional. 2:29 is quite good example. But as I remember RE characters especially in RE2 did not insult and felt naive.
The blast from the bathroom wall completely destroying the 3F wall makes absolutely no fucking sense. People have been data mining the game and evidence has began to surface indicating that Jill was indeed supposed to travel to the RPD early on during the game where a Nemesis encounter within the station was going to happen. Data miners have suggested that the Nemesis encounter was triggered at that 3F wall spot once the STARS office key was retrieved. Nemesis was going to burst through the 3F wall and begin persiut as he did in the original after smashing through the window. Many things were indeed cut and it baffles me how the remake of such a beloved title offered so very little content.
They had a secondary team rush production so they could release well before they announced Resident Evil 8. They didn't want any interference with their flagship title. It sucks and I don't like it. But that's why this happened.
It's even more balling when you consider that 1999 and 2021 re3 were both rushed and the first one still has more content than the remake 22 years later
can someone explain where did the barricades go? in RE2 they just disappeared from the scene like they never existed in the place to begin with, it's as if someone cleaned up the department for the arrival of someone else. I don't get it.
Well it's a shot but I think it's bc of the other survivor/RPD officers in the RPD don't forget in the original games that there were people / officers still in the station before during and after the events of the games..
If people bitch about how some parts in re3 were bourded up 1st before 2 then they obviously haven't played the original beforehand as the RPD did the exact same thing

It's funny to think that these characters were in the same place, but at different times.

They could still do a Marvin dlc for the re3 remake which takes place before re3 and during after he gets bit up until he meets Leon or Claire i
I assume re3 was made so fast that they didn't plan to insert construction building after nemesis fight into re2. No firefighters truck too.
Yeah they made both RE2 and RE3 remake at the same time..
RE3R was developed at the same time as RE2R
It was just poor creative choices

Probably elliot and marvin they moved everything to find an exit
Maybe after Carlos shoots Nemesis with the Rocket launcher, Nemesis goes to the RPD to look for Brad. Chases Brad out of the RPD until Brad turns
Imagine if during this section you could slightly hear mr x’s footsteps
He was not deployed yet.
This is similar to how in onimusha 2, you could revisit the castle from onimusha 1.
