  • Good day.
Come join us as we head North to Utah to beat the heat. Marysvale located in Piute County, Utah. At an elevation of approx 5800 feet ASL affords some cooler weather as you climb to the mountain peaks that may reach over 11,000 feet. Be advised when taking your OHV to Utah there is no reciprocity and a permit is required. $30.00 is a great deal to explore the Piute Trail and other wonders the state of Utah has to offer. The Piute is reported to have over 250 miles of established trails and a big loop. When you add in forest roads and other nearby trails it is said that the trails system is a couple thousand miles. NatGeo has an app and map that illustraites the the system. We used GIAA GPS that will impose your gps location on the Nat Geo and other overlays in real time. Here is your warning...Cell coverage is sparse at best. Have all your maps downloaded before you get there because you will not have service for the majority of the time. Suggest giving Big Rock Candy Resort a try. They have cabins, RV sites, and the awesome Caboose Village. Caboose Village is a camp site with old rail road cars transformed into mini cabins with AC and restrooms and other modern amenities. George rocks and keeps the grounds in great shape. This system is set to accommodate different size machines so make sure you dont stray into a trail that is too narrow. Not to worry because it appears that there is many routes to get to the major attractions. Take your time look around. Wildlife is everywhere. Tall pines, gorgeous Aspens, Deer, Elk, and many others including a river bank Mink. When you want to take a break from the riding cool off on a 2 hr white water rafting trip or test your nerves on the 6 point zip line. There is fun for all. Thanks to Doug and his wife for riding with us. Get out there and explore!

Nice. What trails did you take? I've wanted to do the Paiute Trail, but have heard that its tricky because of all the limited width trails.
