I used to have epilepsy. It started when I was 13 I think. Every month I had one so it was hormonal. Medication controlled it, I have been off my medication for 18 months or about that now after not having a seizure for years and so far so good. Having epilepsy isn't the end of your life.

@Box-js9kp I'm there with you Mama (or Papa). My little boy started having seizures for the first time just a few months ago. The first one was just an absentee. He had it close to bedtime and we thought maybe he fell asleep with his eyes open. It was strange but then after about 2 minutes he snapped out of it, giggled a bit (he just turned 4 a couple weeks ago so he's very young) and went to sleep. It was odd so I thought I'd get him to the pediatrician to be safe.
Well, the next morning he had a full on seizure in my arms. I was so scared! It lasted 4 minutes and as soon as it was over we went straight to the nearest children's hospital.
This video hit me right in the gut because that little boy looks a bit like my son.
Hang in there! It's tough but it will be alright. ❤❤❤

Tips how my father made my Niece survive Seizure
1.Hold them using your head and make sure no objects are about to fall.
2.Wait for them to fall limp and pale dont force them to turn the other side just wait for them to feel weak.
3.wait for any seizure signs they might have another seizure attack

A seizure occurs when the nervous system fires charges rapidly, and a charge is misfired.
Before a seizure: Auras such as a weird taste or smell, unstableness, weakness, dizziness, numbness followed, tingling, sudden anxiety.
Symptoms: Stiffness, convulsing, foaming at the mouth, vomiting, bleeding (if victim bites tongue during the seizure), staring, losing partial or complete consciousness, trouble breathing, lopss of bowel or bladder control, and/or awareness.
Side effects: Drowsiness, dizziness, confusion, panicky, temporary loss of memory.
How to treat seizures: 1. Time the seizure. If the seizure last 5 minutes or longer and/or multiple seizures occur, call for medical attention.
    2. Place a soft object under their head or lift it and tilt it upwards to prevent head or brain injury.
    3. Unless in a significant possibility of being injured, DO NOT move the patient.
    4. Turn the victim on their side to clear out airways to prevent loss or shortness of breath.
    5. DO NOT place a spoon or any object into the victim's mouth. Although it is a highly concepted rumor that a victim can swallow their tongue, it is impossible to.
In fact, that will cause more damage because the victim could break their teeth if they bite on the object.
    6. When the seizure is over, talk calmly to the patient to prevent startling them.
A cause of a seizure could be from TBI brain injury, overheating, flashing or bright lights, etc.
Hope this helps, (PS I am 14, and not a doctor yet, I just love learning about neurology)

On Wednesday I was on the bus running some errands. My daughter called and said something is wrong with Sarah. She's shaking and foam is coming from her mouth I told her called 911 right away. I got off the buss and ran home the rest of the way. I don't cry in front of others so once my daughter was checked in the E.R and had a bed I pull the curtain and Tears like there's no tomorrow. Sarah was diagnosed with severe autism at 16 months and now her first seizure at 5 years old. My heart is broken for my poor baby
