    As always, a pleasure to see your video. Also thank you for the Kenya stories and photos, now I know what a scaredog and a tea plantation look like in Kenya, interesting and beautiful photos!
    As for mistakes being made, I am with Gary on this one :) I also drop things in the kitchen only when there is someone there watching me :)
    Happy stitching!

    Dang girl, I am blown away by what you do for your career. I have so many questions for you but I'm afraid that my fingers will get to tired asking them all. But I will ask you how and when did you became aware of your job and when did start? I'm fascinated by what you do. Oh and your stitching is amazing also. The two of you have me in stitches with your antics. Gary, Louis would be proud of the progress your making on him. Take care in the northwest. We live in Rogue River Oregon now and we have standing water in our yard...😂❤

    Welcome back. Very interesting work! I have become reactive to Irish potatoes these past few years. So sad!!! But it's interesting they can grow them over there. Nutrition is such important work.
    Love your finishes! The snowshoes look like lanterns to me. Put yellow in the center and you'll light up the night. Lol. Funny how we all see different things in some pieces.

    Thank you Amy and Gary for your video. You had me laughing with your banter today. Stitching as always looking so good. Rose Trellis Inn is such an amazing piece and yes Gary unicorns are chocolate inside. Louis A, you can really see it's shape now. Thank you very much for the explanation of your miniatures I never knew there were so many. I must watch more films. Loved hearing about your work Amy and your trip to Kenya. Not sure if it was Sophie or Bear sounding so blissfully asleep but hugs to them both. I am playing catch up again. Who knew a course could have so much homework 😂

      Hi Carol! I love that your courses are keeping you busy and learning! I bet you are creating some really beautiful things!
      The blissful sleeper in the background was Sophie. Bear occasionally snores, but Sophie is usually the "offender" there. She also dreams a lot , and I love it when she's wagging her tail in her sleep because I can tell she's having happy dreams. ❤

    Hi Amy & Gary
    Love all of your WIPS - you are making great progress on them.
    Amy - I love hearing about your Trips - I love hearing about the Country and how they do things and what they are well known for. The Potato is very interesting. My Dad always grew Potatoes in his Garden so it was interesting to hear this about the Potato over in Kenya. I have a special place in my heart for Africa because my one Family Doctor that I had did his Practice in Africa and it was in Kenya. Him and his family was there for a long time and their one Son has a picture of them on a Boat in Kenya when they were there.
    Take care & Happy Stitching

    Welcome home. What a fascinating program. I love hearing about your job. Your job is very interesting compared to mine. I have a couple of grandsons who help with building a habitat in Peru. They did it for a couple of years. They did this when they were single and now family is taking center stage. Good luck on your upcoming seminar and congratulations on your finishes. ❤❤

    Thank you for sharing info about your trips - the info you share is very interesting! I’ve stitched five of the historiche stickmuster “samplers” (Colors of Venice, Sienna, Air, Earth, and Water). My stitching “strategy” evolved after the first two. On the others, I stitched the outline of each “tile” in the correct color, then stitched the swirls throughout, and ended by filling in the background of each of the tiles. Just a little different way to tackle it. 😊

    • @globetrottingstitcher
      @globetrottingstitcher  5 месяцев назад

      Thanks for sharing how you tackled the Historiche Stickmuster samplers. I may have to try that. It sounds like a really good approach. They're a lovely collection, and they must be beautiful in your home!

    Your start is bigger than the five stitches we often see for starts. Thank you so much for answering my question…I loved the lively exchange. My husband does not appear on every one of my videos and I wish he would…no he won’t take up stitching. Take care.

    Hi! Love your haircut! Looks great. Oh your finishes are great❤ my poor full coverage has so much dog hair lol. Oh man now that’s a challenge, find Gary a chocolate unicorn for Easter! 😅 good progress Gary! Looks great. Love the blue and brown together, what is that blue colour!? Omg you two are so funny! Interesting as my husband is from PEI, Canada’s potato province. What is your education background for this type of work, too cool. Oh that tea plantation was neat!

      @@globetrottingstitcher lol funny. It’s beautiful but we don’t live there. Health care as in all Canada is terrible but being so small you have to go ‘off island’ to get any specialists etc. The summers are nice but cool wind and winters are harsh. We live in NS so a 3 yr drive to see most of his siblings. 2 live in same province as we do.

    Love your victorian house! What brand/type of q-snap do you use? Or do you take clamps from a bigger size for your pieces? The clamps for the ones I buy never go from top-to-bottom, so I'm constantly having to move them to get tension!

    • @globetrottingstitcher
      @globetrottingstitcher  5 месяцев назад +1

      I use all official Q-Snap branded products, but I've taken to mixing and matching my sets to get to the sizes I need. They have a couple options at 123Stitch you might want to check out.
      Here's an 11x17 frame: www.123stitch.com/item/Q-Snap-11x17-Qsnap/123-2499
      And here's an extender kit (with clamps) that can expand a 17" frame up to 20"
      Hope that helps!

    • @RosieintheRockies
      @RosieintheRockies 5 месяцев назад +1

      @@globetrottingstitcher thank you! I also use official Q-Snap but the clamp on any size is always shorter than the actual frame side...and yours look the same length! I'll try to mix a longer clamp with my favorite 11x11.
