Very cool knife. It’s as old as I am.🤭 74 is a good vintage.😉 I have a Puma Buffalo Hunter but I really want its bigger brother. They’re very well made knives.
Hey there, thanks for watching and commenting! Yep too right it's a good knife. Yeah Buffalo hunter looks cool too. Is yours (the BF) a old manufacturing date?
Old men like old knives, meaning me. LOL. I use the sabitoru on whetstones to clean them, but I never knew they work on knives also. Good info. Case, Old Timer, and Puma take me back in time. Enjoyedd the video.
One of my favorite things to do is take an old blade and bring it back to serviceable use. Just finished a Sharade Sharpfinger I got on Ebay that was Baaaaad....now looks like a scalpel from some antediluvian civilization
Yeah this one was purchased for me when i was a child by my dad from our local gun shop and he gave it to me around 16-17 years of age. It was my fav hunting knife for many years to come. Yes the Automesser looks like a great knife. i once had an opportunity to purchase a second hand but in XLNT condition a white hunter but without a scabbard. I foolishly didn't do it and will prob always regret it.
Your custom knife is an interesting design.🤔🤔🤔 its half trekker, Tanto tip. I must check out your older video's on your high carbon custom from Germany 🇩🇪 😊👍🔪🔪🔪
Yep! 1974 release Original Puma Hunter's Friend. My dad bought it for me around 46 years ago from a local gun shop LOL! when I started to bow hunt (also with a Bear recurve purchased by me from that same store- long since disappeared and a high rise building on that very site.
Nice knife. Great design for skining. Great tip on where to get a japanese rust eraser. Model shop.💡💡💡good idea. Another great video. Are you in Aussie bro?🌏

I think Kephart knife was constructed from this Puma idea...together with matrosenmesser ...
Yes, the PUMA idea for this overall shape dates way back prior to it's 1974 production, so what you say could be right.
