Unbeliveble! God bless this man! First class Information and such a lovely way he passionately shares his knowledge! Thanks for sharing this Travis! ❤❤❤
Nice presentation. In Oklahoma's Cowboy Museum, I noticed as pistols became more dependable, knives became shorter, more portable, and more utilitarian.
That was the most enjoyable & educational video l have seen in a long time . Always great to listen to someone who is passionate & knowledgeable about a subject they obviously love . Thanks for posting
Great video! I just found this channel today and subscribed right away! I'm especially grateful to this gentleman for exposing the Joe Musso knife as a fake.
I don't understand why Bowie is more famous then Cassius Clay. That guy was in more knife fights then anyone ive ever heard of. He even had a self-defense canon.
I got a cold steel black bear bowie machete. The toughest and most practical knife I have ever owned. It’s my trusty companion and Edc . I live in San Diego California btw and it’s accompanied me everywhere in the city, on public transport ect. The only place it hasn’t been is in a court house and a few restricted areas. As an outdoorsmen and someone who’s experienced in extreme violence, these outlandish knives do have their place. I would like to know why they were designed the way they were and more about the composition of the steel and methods of manufacture. I have done my own experimentation and would like to know how it compares to historical uses.
Fake as they may be, those are some handsome blades. I wish they were presented for what they are, not passed off as historical. Brass backs are my favorite knife
Amazing Gentleman! Such a wealth of knowledge! Love the bandaid on his finger, a sign of a TRUE Knife Lover! Ha! I'm always cutting my hand or fingers on knives no matter how careful I am! The international symbol of all knife lovers! 😁🤣😂
@jf4313 Not this man, but my father was some what of a historian on many things but mainly the Civil War, Native Americans, and of course weapons. He had an obsession with Bowie knives. This made me think of him the entire video.
in phil collin's book about his alamo collection he includes a photo of supposedly the actual folder bowie tried to open with his teeth to use against wright, it's a 19 inch navaja
Somewhere in Mexico in a small mountain village there is someone whose ancestor fought with Santa Anna at the Alamo. They are smiling as they oil their family heirloom. Those famed relics, and their original owners were undoubtedly familiar to the Mexican soldiers at the time. Had they been recovered by Sam Houston’s men at the retribution battle they would not have been treated lightly. We would likely have them still. I think they went south and if so, they will stay south. I don’t believe the huge sums of money any confirmed item might bring would such stir current holders. Imho.
I bought a Bowie presentation by Browning on gun broker. It looks more like the clip point the documentation said it was made from historical records????
Fact my local pub is the white heart in Lewes UK where Mr payne wrote the rights of man and our local beer is Harvey's Thomas Payne ape and very nice it is to
Not true at all.... Bowie knives started in america made by Americans The fact that England made countless bowie knives and sold them all over the world especially in the US, AFTER they were hugely popular means nothing...

Man of old time knowledge
Gosh that was refreshing.
Great story Teller!👍🏼
Fake as they may be, those are some handsome blades. I wish they were presented for what they are, not passed off as historical.
Brass backs are my favorite knife
I used to see Joe Muso at a few of the knife shows in SoCal. He was a pretty friendly guy. I never knew that knife a fake. And reslly good one too.
Fascinating
Perhaps it’s true that Bowie carried many different designs throughout his lifetime.
I would say that prob true!
VERY VERY COOL 😎
Fantastic!

I miss you Dad
Is this your father? Did something happen?

The plain butcher knife gets my vote. I think Rezin even said that the original was a butcher knife.
Those monster clipped knives always looked a bit movie prop to me!!
They are practical

"They" say Jim Bowie 's blade was forged from meteor metal. Myth or Legend?
Michael is sporting the 2024 summer range by kanye west.
7 or 8 dozen...
🗡️Cool O.G.🔪❗
That was awesome!
Next time start by explaining why you're pronouncing the name "Bowie" as if it's the word "boo- ee"
Because that’s the correct pronunciation.

Ok since youre not providing any evidence to back up your claim, you think its true because you merely think its true
THANK YOU!
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻✊🏻
all you yanks think you got the thing but the knife came from england
“Which came first the chicken or the egg?”
Not true at all....
