    I truly appreciate you taking the time to do this series. I am intimidated with HAED and Mystic Stitch designs because of the stitching details and color switches. However, your steps are helpful and have given me a bit of courage! I am definitely going to take the time to grid...even for other projects! Thank you!!!

    Thanks for the gridding tutorial. I'll have to try it. My mode of gridding is using the blue water soluble marking pen. I'm looking forward to future tutorials.

    :) Thank you! Because of this video I’ve been winding my 550 DMC skeins for 2 days now- and I’ve a good 200 to go- Cheers! 😂

    Thank you for the gridding tutorial, especially. :) I've been working on doing this on my larger projects. (no haeds yet. lol) I've also been looking at using fishing line, but its great to hear someone else who is. I'm not so far off if I"m not the only one. ;D

    Thank you for this video. It’s very helpful. I am still a little confused about the numbers in parentheses, especially the bottom numbers. Could I ask you to explain this a little more? Can I turn to the next page and just continue stitching? Thanks so much.

    I am trying this method of gridding, and I want to start the long side, but you don't show how to do that. I know it seems easy enough and I will count ten from the center and cross in the middle of the stitches. Just a thought as you did such a thorough job with everything else, it would have been nice to see that exchange. Thanks, this series really is great.

    Thanks so much for an excellent series and especially the preparation video. You mention that you have another video on gridding but the link did not show up for me. Is it possible to link me to that video? Thanks much

    Love, love, love your hand gloves. Did you do a video on that? I use a hand drill and followed the utube bid on winding bobbins. Saves soooooo much on your hands😄

      +xx courtr5877 Thank you! My wrist warmers are my own pattern and I do sell them in my store so sorry will not be a video on those. I still haven't dared to use a drill, but I like my winder tho :)

    Hi, awesome . Is ALL the floss provided with the chart and pattern etc or do you have to buy them separately?

    • @craftybit
      @craftybit  5 лет назад

      I buy everything separate, the pattern is a pdf (but you can get it already printed), and then I use threads and fabric from my stash :)

    Thank you for your Amazing HAED tutorials! Also thank you for the gridding tutorial. I started my first HAED this year and wish I knew about your videos before. Too bad I started gridding with a erasable fabric marker, but can I still switch to your way of gridding? Because Now I am really afraid of residual lines in my fabric, altough i tested it on a scrap of the same fabric. Thank you in advance for your answer!

      Hi! Thank you! I personally don't have that much experience with erasable markers, I'm a little bit paranoid about it. But hopefully your stitches will cover them all anyway. You can always start gridding if that is what you want, I've done that on my Wrath. When I started that one I used ordinary sewing thread but discovered that I pierced it and it took ages to get out. So after the first row of pages I removed them and gridded instead with the fishing line. I just didn't grid the part I already stitched :)

      craftybit Thank you! I have a HAED pattern with no background (Barn Owls) so I won't be stitching over all the gridding. But i have only gridded the first page, so after I finish that one, I'll grid the rest with the fishing line! Thanks again!

    I'm from Sweden as well, and I was wondering where you bought you bobbins and your box? I was also wondering where you bought your threads, as they are super expensive in my local LNS (15-18kr/skein!). Thank you for a great video!

    • @craftybit
      @craftybit  9 лет назад

      +yehwellwhatever I buy most of materials from sewandso.co.uk, the thread prices is about half of the ones in sweden and they have good shipping. And also as they are in the UK(EU) the taxes are all taken care of so the packages doesn't get stuck in customs :) All my boxes are from there too :)

      +craftybit Thank you! It would have been a nightmare if the package got stuck in customs. I'll look into ordering from there as I want to try some larger projects that aren't kits.

    Does anyone know if there is die cut which will cut the bobbin shape?

    • @craftybit
      @craftybit  9 лет назад +1

      +Jennifer Carter I've looked around but couldn't find one, but you can get the cardboard ones for real cheap, you can also get plastic ones that isn't the DMC ones on eBay for really good prices. I think I've seen cut files for the silhouette machine for bobbins if you have one of those. Sizzix have a set with a sewing machine die but they seem to be real tiny :)
