    Great video and review Aaron. I just purchased a DR 238 and DR 239 for a couple of roofed small patios I have in my unit.
    Instruction manual for both models says it should be installed at least 2.4m high from the ground. At what height did you install and do you think there might be an issue if I install at 2.20m heigh approximately?

      Hard to say, our litigious society dictates that I parrot something along the lines of "always refer to the manufacturers instructions". However, whether the unit being 0.2m closer to the ground would actually make a difference. I couldn't image it would. Again, just a guess.

    When I have it upside down like you have it on the video mine automatically shuts down. How can I make it stay on?

      Look on the back, directly behind the digital display, is the tilt sensor.
      If you remove the same end on the light, then remove the 4 screws that holds the control panel cover, it will expose the 2-wire circuit that leads to the tilt sensor.
      Unplug the small white connector (at the other end of the tilt sensor) from the board and it will remove the tilt sensor and the panel will work as normal.

    does this Dr Infrared Heater DR-238 come with a floor stand? I don't want to have to mount it on a wall, ceiling or tripod. I would contact the company but they are going to be closed for a few days. Thanks.

    My garage ceiling is about 14' tall.. think this thing would heat objects being that far away? Or would I be better to get a tripod?

    • @aaronstestlab
      @aaronstestlab  Год назад +1

      I think you're better off with a tripod at that height.

    Would something like this work on a outdoor porch in northeast winter being about 5 ft away? Something for outdoor cigar smoking

      As long as it's pointed directly at you.

      You won't even feel it if it gets to sub zero temperatures. It's not powerful enough, you would probably need at least 2 of them directly in front of you.

    Why don't they heater work for indoor

    • @anekinoo7
      @anekinoo7 Год назад

      Its a IR heater. It heats objects. It wont heat up the air. For indoor its better to get a standard space heater.

    • @zeerealdeal
      @zeerealdeal Год назад +1

      It does work indoors. It has a heating coil encased in a glass tube which heats to temperatures well above 700 degrees F @ level 3. I use mine to heat my home office, while the rest of the house is at the thermostat's set temp - which for me is under 60 F during my workday.

    • @Licoricedisc
      @Licoricedisc 10 месяцев назад

      @@anekinoo7 Nope.
      It is more efficient and only heats objects/people.
