    Hello Aaron,
Recently purchased this drill press and I learned you can lock the quill with the supplied depth stop. You simply pull the quill to the desired depth, then rotate the depth stop to that desired location and lock this position on the depth stop with the thumb screw. Next, release the press handle and the quill will be locked into position. Hope this makes sense. There are other RUclips videos showing this action on different presses but utilize the same depth stop.
Thanks for your video, loving this new press as it is far superior to my old 8” baby drill press…

With an integrated shank keyless chuck upgrade and a Wixey DRO this drill press has been absolutely fantastic for my needs. I’ve drilled wood, acrylic, hdpe, aluminum, 4340 etc. with no complaints

Those are two upgrades you've made to it?

@@MadLadsAnonymous yes. I believe the chuck is a 5/8” CanCNC keyless with titanium jaws. the wixey mount does work with the included options but it takes a bit of forethought

Another feature on this model is it is two inches taller than the Wen 4214T or 4212 model.

I'm curious about drilling in metal at it's slowest speed. Is the torque strong enough not to bind? Or would the Wen be better?

      Mine has no trouble

The Wen 4214T model which this model is drawn from comes with a 5 amp motor and this one is 6.2 amp. You get a stronger motor with this model.

Hi, you motioned an available quill depth stop. How can I obtain one?

I 3d printed mine. Not sure of an off-the-shelf solution.

@@aaronstestlab it has built-in quill stop. Read the instructions.

Looking at this drill press. Did you ever post the file on Thingaverse? Couldn’t find it.

Yes, I was looking for it too and couldn't find it. Anyone else find it and mind sharing the link?

@@ChristianDarby-e8u so I ended up buying this drill and it doesn’t need it. You just bring it to the lowest position and tighten the depth adjustment all the way. Great setup. I really haven’t used it and still sits in my kitchen assembled. One of the few benefits of not having a wife. LoL Frigger is heavy. So no moving this monster until I have an exact location where it will stay.

This looks identical to the Vevor?

I'm guessing Wen/Vevor/Bucktool/Bauer are all produced by the same manufacturer in China

The Bauer, WEN, and Vevor look exactly the same, but not this one since the speed display is below the switch.
