@@James_Bee mirelurks take more damage from leg hits, head shots do very little. Easy way to know where to vats, if it looks like a human body vats the head, everything else vats the legs. There are a very few that doesn't work for.
I would point out that the damage on the weapon card can be a combination of different types of damage. Demolition Expert will only buff the explosion damage of the weapon. The other bit I would mention is about multi-pellet weapons. Damage is split between each pellet and then enemy damage resistance is applied. Depending on the enemy, the damage can be greatly reduced. Lastly, Prime ammo not only increases damage, but also does extra damage to scorched. It is an expensive ammo but can easily be farmed in Daily Ops for certain ammo types. Overall, great video!
Turtle, did you also noticed Bethesda removed the possibility to drink or collect toxic goo from the West Tech Research Center😡 i was always collecting it from there for my bloodied build now it's gone, do you maybe no where else we can get toxic goo or any other alternative ?
It seems that at this day, if the enemy is in combat, they will still get sneak attack damage if you are not in danger your self. Could you confirm that ?
@@AngryTurtle I am not very good at the game, but i played sneak ever since I started. It was the case that sneak did not apply on scorched queen due to the amount of people fighting it. As far as I remember, the rule was that if member of enemy faction (scorched) is in combat with your faction (players), no one from that faction (players) will be able to land sneak attack on the enemy faction (scorched). However I recently picked up the game again and I do land sneak attack on scorched queen. No popup but the damage is visibly higher if I crouch. Also, is there any way you know of how to sneak with loud weapon such as Tesla? By the way, awesome job on the videos. You taught me a lot!
I believe this is true. Even when it says [Caution] at the top of my screen, I will still get the message that I did 2.5+x damage to the target that is looking for me and already damaged by my attack. When it says [Danger] at least one enemy has found you. However, what I'm unsure of is if you're being attacked by one enemy that knows your location, can you still get sneak damage bonus on another enemy that doesn't yet know where you are? Such as when sniping an enemy that's still far away and maybe even out of combat, but you yourself are already engaged in combat with something?
Quick question ..... I saw another YT video that showed a data mined sheet post update that said the Explosive Pepper Shakers have been removed from the ally loot pool, making them legacy now. Can you confirm this by any chance? .... it would make these the rarest items in the game if true (PS, I got a bloody explosive one from Beckett last week)
I think min/max takes away from the game. It becomes it's own monster and can lead to toxicity in communities. You can do a lot of things to do a lot of damage, but that doesn't mean you have to beat Earle in 20 seconds, solo. Some people enjoy that and that is fine as long as others aren't shamed for choosing to not be that hardcore about getting that much more dps. Enjoy the game, try different weapons, perks and legendary combos, don't just do what every other youtuber says to do.
I can do it but I don't on public servers because it's shitty for everyone else. Especially the person who dropped the nuke. Also I get less exp for killing the queen or earl quickly because then I can't farm the spawns. It's just a lose-lose situation all round so I really don't get that mentality. I did it once or twice just to see if I could but it really takes a lot of the enjoyment out of the game and means you get less rewards in terms of exp. Which, let's face it, is actually the most important resource in the game if you really want to maximise a build.
@@Slybby ammo is so easy to get if you use ultracite. I really don't care how many bullets it takes to put down a boss. So long as the mobs go down easy I really couldn't care less how much damage I'm doing to the boss. I just get my 1000 damage in early and the ignore the boss for the rest of the fight anyway. My bulds are optimised enough that I can solo any boss without taking any drugs easily if I want to. Even my pistol build can take down earl on under 5 minutes with a quad 25 25 10mm pistol if I really want to. I just don't see the point tbh.
@@Slybby & Geoff - I also enjoy sharing the kills and popping lunch boxes. Though they've just been nerfed, it sucks when doing a tagging event like Uranium Fever and someone mass one-shots everything with a glitch gun. It's much better when players signal "over here" so everyone can get hits.
This is definitely the best way to go for any game, although it's definitely good to do a little bit of optimizing just to make sure that you don't get frustrated if you feel too weak
Just about everything he mentioned works for melee too, plus melee also has two more damage mutations (Twisted Muscles and Talons), plus a lot more food buffs (glowing meat, super mutant hound meat, yao guai meat, and deathclaw/stinging meat all stack)
Everyone that only plays the game with weapons with a +100% damage buff telling me that Bloody Mess T3 got nerfed to only add 7.5% damage instead of 15% gets a laugh out of me when they start to lecture me about how it's a "bad perk"
Thank you sir! I think I'm going to have to start using a lower health build for my gunslinger, trying to not sneak 👍 is there caps on armor penetration? Will the anti armor and tank killer stack to full percentage or does it diminish?
well you get diminishing returns, but if it makes the difference between killing with 1 bullet vs 2 or some thing like that, its definitly worth it. just like he said in the video, go as high as you need
@@MrJoeDone at the end im limited in skill points but not in how many ammo i can craft. if you do some kind of youtube content and want to be the "fastest to kill" or funny stuff to make real money okay fine. in other online games max dmg is often needed because of boss enrage counters. fallout 76 is not even close to have something like that^^ so for normal gameplay i dont see any use for rank 2 and 3 and bloody mess (exept you want the splatter) perhaps is important below level 500 idk.
Is 510 dmg good for a bloody peppered tenderizer with yao guai roast, 6+str whiskey, 3 unyielding, 15 base str, adrenal reaction, radicool, nerd rage and all 3 3 star 2 handed cards? I can't fit bloody mess into my build and most things that don't get 1 hit have little health left.
I’ve been wondering recently which is more important. Is it Per shot damage or damage over time? I have a juggernaut Gatling I recently primed. It does significantly more per shot but is slower than the speedy receiver I had before.
You can simply do the math, in most cases damage per second is more important than damage per shot. That's why many players switched from bloodied (or other damage modifying 1st star effects) to quad weapons. Damage per shot is way less but dps is way higher. It all depends on the target, if you can oneshot it go for high damage per shot, if you cant go for higher ammocapacity and firerate (like bosses eg).
It depends on how much ammo you have. With lots of ammo then dps is better, and with low ammo then ammo efficiency is better. I reccomend carrying multiple weapons that do each so you can use the efficient ones on day to day enemies and the high dps ones for more important activities
@@Wyrmshield Yes exactly, i said the same 👍 To play most efficient: High damage per shot for weak, high damage per second for tougher targets. you have a problem with ammo? High damage per shot. You dont know what to do with all your ammo? High damage per second. There are so many ways to play the game, if you want to play stealth or not also affects your damage in general. This video was simply about how to increase damage per shot independent to if its useful or not, but in general imo everybody should play as he or she wants to, having the most fun for oneself 🙂
Hi turtle my damage on the guns are under 100 damage Im sure if I need to change my legendary cards or my perks I used 50 cal gun and a fixer. I'm not very tanker not sure how to make my build better but your videos do help
Hello I'm relatively a new player been on the game for a couple of months now and I've really been enjoying your videos for a few weeks now your definitely the best you tuber that I have came across for FO76. I am amazed on how much stuff you have, bottlecaps, all the weapons and armor, infinite amount of junk, most of the legendary perks maxed out. Does obtaining all that come naturally since you are a high level or is their a few tricks of the trade? Thanks for reading!
Try 1,000 hours of gameplay and you'll have similar to what turtle has. To get good gear is a grrriiiinnnndddd but with legendary crafting it is much easier to get great gear now, just takes time. If you find a couple great weapons you like using make a build for your character around the weapons to maximise their potential and once you around level 200 you should have decent stats and legendary perks etc.
It's mostly stuff that will come over time, but only if you work at it. For caps, pick up assault rifles and combat shotguns and vendor those every day. For legendary perks you need exp which you can boost with intelligence and fighting lots of super mutants. For gear and mutations, make it a habit to check player vending machines because you can find some nice stuff there for relatively cheap. For junk unfortunately the best way to get a lot is to pay for fallout 1st and just have unlimited storage for it, however once you're past level 50 and you have all the gear you like to use fully modded and a base set up that you like, your need for junk plummets considerably
Great info. Sadly I've milked my build as far as it can go. There just isn't enough buffs or effects to make manual aiming strong. So hit the ceiling I must. Also brief question: Do you know if Throwing weapons benefit from sneak? I'm getting mix results and I'm leaning on yes but no way getting accurate testing.
I didnt notice Gunfu or is it broken ? Also I know you said aa vs bloodied but I kinda feel like it deserves to be mentioned as aa is amazing for energy weapons especially on bosses.
Hey 🐢. Does the adrenaline perk card work for pvp as well? Like if i kill a mole miner or two and then my opponent will it give me the damage increase?
Turtle ! You can also stack overdrive with psychobuff for additional crit damage. That will also stack with tea that offers additional crit damage ! Tesla Science 9 is a magazine that offers addition heavy gun crit damage, hope this helps !
You can stack exacly these two chems for a long time now but it's an oversight for sure. So doing this i would call a glitch (it doesn't break the game though so i don't care).
@@torsteinnorbertson technically not a glitch tho, aren't doing anything besides using multiple Chem's just like any other combination of Chems, just my op. I respect yours tho too
@@gettinblakedgarage1390 In general using two items is not a glitch of course, in all other cases the last effect overwrites the first one. The general rule is that stacking chems is not possible so if you find two which work together despite the rule and use it i call it a glitch 🙂 All fine, it's in the game so everybody is free to use it. The devs know about and don't care (and why should they, its a minor thing). I don't do it. Because im too lazy to buff anything, i just run around and shoot 😅
Turtle Turtle!! I have a really good build, I’ve levels up 300 times during the double xp event! I like to show some how to u, I’m on Xbox servers Xp gain is 2600k-2700k(can do more if having extra 5% more from Chems,& event could boosters) per kill on regular super mutants in west tek, & legendary kills are 4-5k xp The build is a vats bloodied xp public team sharing some* perks to each other
The only thing I have left to improve build is casual underarmor For +3 intelligence & set for unyielding armor that’s Secret service, & I think, a better gun, I use the fixer with Improved stealth faster sneaky movement speed (I would definitely want to re roll for a better thing then this if even possible) Bullets explode for area dmg Dmg increases as health decrease 15% faster reload
Is that a Russian character with a Russian Scorpion Tattoo? Are the claws open? If the claws are open, he is a Special Forces Soldier that has seen combat. We don't want to talk about the other meanings. Lol. Good video.
Yeah they don't stack, and unless you have something to make good use of that one extra charisma slot ready to go, you probably won't have much benefit from being able to take off your own strange in numbers (especially if the group suddenly breaks up when you're in the middle of something)
I've noticed the older a server the worse your damage registration is even vats doesn't want to work correctly I've had times a 95% chance in vats just doesn't do and I'll shoot 6 shots before it's like oh your using vats mode you know all the meat piles we leave behind well the game keeps track of those so imagine 10 players do a line in the Sand event then a radiation rumble event and don't pick up any of those loot piles that causes hell amounts of lag then tack on whatever else is going on and eventually the entire servers lagging slightly now let's tack on everyones camps let's say you got 15 in a server all with camps and shelters all that adds even more stress especially with more PA displays and mannequins those things just break your game if you got to many I maxed out in all shelters and my game would crash every 30 minutes like clockwork so I got rid of all but like 4 total
@@LCInfantry I play on console we have our issues only time I said I crashed alot was when I had all shelters plus 4 different camps with Max PA displays and mannequins completely decked (it specifically wanted to crash when trying to do daily ops) not to mention I've got like 65% or more of the atomic shop including all season items and most event items like my shelters are almost Max budget after I got rid of all but 5 of those mannequins/pa displays my stuff ran completely fine no crashes but this was also like 3 months ago when that real bad crashing crap was going on anyway. most people spend 30-45 minutes going through my camp and shelters just looking at everything if they actually stop to look around I've had people crash in my shelters bc there's so much to load I wouldn't have any of these issues on PC
I can’t remember I know it doesn’t show on pip-boy, because the armor varies between enemies: but does the increased damage vs a target from using armor piercing weapons/perks appear in the floating damage numbers? Or can you only tell from comparing the healthbars of similar enemies? I remember you testing something where you had to do that.
Again just teams, that's ok to cancel fo1st and go with teams, bethesda want that... We pay not just for stash boxes,we pay for something better,but... Teams are in those eyes... Why in the own private world we can't have some bonuses, time to stop🙂
Its a video on how to do more damage how could bloodied not be mentioned? It is one of the 10-15 things he went over perhaps you should watch before commenting.
A bloodied setup IS the main source of damage really, everything else is additional bonus, so if DPS is what you want, go bloodied, if tank or support is what you need, you can go full health, it should work well. But honestly, bloodied works wonders with a support or tank too.
Well, bethesda love bloodied so much, they won't bother buffing other legendary or perk to the same level as bloodied so people can have different build which is fun to them. Luckily, nobody care about my build anyway and I have fun with my full health pa heavy gunner.
It's all true and fine, but you forgot the most important thing which boosts damage. You just press the buttons harder. No need to thank me.

@@James_Bee there are others as well. Deathclaws are the belly aren't they? There a few i thought don't have time to look it up ATM though.

It seems that at this day, if the enemy is in combat, they will still get sneak attack damage if you are not in danger your self. Could you confirm that ?
I'm not sure about that
@@AngryTurtle I am not very good at the game, but i played sneak ever since I started.
I don't know
I have perks maxed for heavy weapons but its not changing anything its acting like i dont have any equiped
@@PoopFactor4 stacking buffs and "wasting" ammo is not realy worth a solo kill.
im allways about sharing the kill and one or 2 lunch boxes.
“There is no need to min-max”. That has to be the best ever placard for poor Mr Earle 😂
This did ignore melee otherwise, this was a good guide. Thank you for all the analysis.
Just about everything he mentioned works for melee too, plus melee also has two more damage mutations (Twisted Muscles and Talons), plus a lot more food buffs (glowing meat, super mutant hound meat, yao guai meat, and deathclaw/stinging meat all stack)

I like cola nut perk! Not for damage but for action points! Also I like to chew bubblegum!
Everyone that only plays the game with weapons with a +100% damage buff telling me that Bloody Mess T3 got nerfed to only add 7.5% damage instead of 15% gets a laugh out of me when they start to lecture me about how it's a "bad perk"
Just pretend that Bloody mess is a 2 star weapon damage card.
Thank you sir! I think I'm going to have to start using a lower health build for my gunslinger, trying to not sneak 👍 is there caps on armor penetration? Will the anti armor and tank killer stack to full percentage or does it diminish?
it stack I should have a video explaining how it works
@@AngryTurtle gotcha I haven't gotten through them all yet haha
So the only thing I was mising was tenderizer!
The most important point is dmg per perk point.
thats why rank 1 of every dmg perk is nice (+10%) and bloody mess is bullshit.
well you get diminishing returns, but if it makes the difference between killing with 1 bullet vs 2 or some thing like that, its definitly worth it.
just like he said in the video, go as high as you need
@@MrJoeDone at the end im limited in skill points but not in how many ammo i can craft.
if you do some kind of youtube content and want to be the "fastest to kill" or funny stuff to make real money okay fine.
in other online games max dmg is often needed because of boss enrage counters.
fallout 76 is not even close to have something like that^^
so for normal gameplay i dont see any use for rank 2 and 3 and bloody mess (exept you want the splatter)
perhaps is important below level 500 idk.
Do you have the way to tank from minigun shredder?
I try to take that attack in PvP and it was too much to handle.

@@Wyrmshield Yes exactly, i said the same 👍
To play most efficient: High damage per shot for weak, high damage per second for tougher targets. you have a problem with ammo? High damage per shot.
You dont know what to do with all your ammo? High damage per second. There are so many ways to play the game, if you want to play stealth or not also affects your damage in general.
This video was simply about how to increase damage per shot independent to if its useful or not, but in general imo everybody should play as he or she wants to, having the most fun for oneself 🙂
Commando build here, do you think its worth it to use prime receiver on my handmade rifles? It seems the damage only increases by 1 or 2.
only for SBQ
Good morning turtle thank you for another video this will really help

Hi turtle my damage on the guns are under 100 damage Im sure if I need to change my legendary cards or my perks I used 50 cal gun and a fixer. I'm not very tanker not sure how to make my build better but your videos do help
Does anyone know if strangler heart power armor can be made to overeater legendary effect, I've crafted already 50 3star pieces but no luck
Hello
I'm relatively a new player been on the game for a couple of months now and I've really been enjoying your videos for a few weeks now your definitely the best you tuber that I have came across for FO76.
@@fivenotewonder Good to know, thanks for the reply
Great video 🐢. Great details.👍
Ballistic bock doesn't work with heavy guns ? That sucks . Does that also mean that high voltage hefe doesn't work with heavy laser guns ?
I didn’t hear that. I heard it doesn’t work with some heavy guns like flamer
Great info. Sadly I've milked my build as far as it can go. There just isn't enough buffs or effects to make manual aiming strong. So hit the ceiling I must. Also brief question: Do you know if Throwing weapons benefit from sneak? I'm getting mix results and I'm leaning on yes but no way getting accurate testing.
i'm not using those at all

You can only have 1 chem active at a time. Unless it was changed in the past month you cant stack chems.
The general rule is that stacking chems is not possible so if you find two which work together despite the rule and use it i call it a glitch 🙂
All fine, it's in the game so everybody is free to use it. The devs know about and don't care (and why should they, its a minor thing).

Hey Turtle, did you cover effects of Gun-Fu??
He didn't. But it is multiplicative so it's good to use against bosses. Kill a couple mobs then switch to the boss.
Turtle Turtle!! I have a really good build, I’ve levels up 300 times during the double xp event! I like to show some how to u, I’m on Xbox servers
Xp gain is 2600k-2700k(can do more if having extra 5% more from Chems,& event could boosters) per kill on regular super mutants in west tek, & legendary kills are 4-5k xp
The build is a vats bloodied xp public team sharing some* perks to each other
The only thing I have left to improve build is casual underarmor For +3 intelligence & set for unyielding armor that’s Secret service, & I think, a better gun, I use the fixer with
Improved stealth faster sneaky movement speed (I would definitely want to re roll for a better thing then this if even possible)
Bullets explode for area dmg
Dmg increases as health decrease
15% faster reload
Also almost rank 100 in scoreboard cuz of xp of 10k = 100 score XD

Hey Turtle, what happens when your entire team is sharing Strange in Numbers?
Nothing extra than the standard boost to mutations from 1 shared card. So, basically a waste of shared perks.
@@fivenotewonder Thanks for the info!
If you are crashing all the time... then something is wrong with your system

It seems to be yet another bloodied based video....sigh
