After all who pays to play a video game that's trying to be a movie? You can just go watch a real movie if you are that invested in a storyline. I got halfway through Heavy Rain and lost interest the moment it became apparent that I hated interactive video games that put too much focus in it's plot and it felt less and less like I was playing a game at all.

At least in Shenmue you still had full control over Ryu, the whole game wasn't QTE based like Heavy Rain and Detroit Becoming Human was.

You mean people who actually like playing video games that feel like a game and not another boring movie they've already watched before with dozens of plots just like this? Yeah we are "smooth brains." If I want a movie experience about murder, missing children, etc there are plenty of dramas, murder mysteries, and thrillers with this played out plot I can be watching right now. When I want to play a video game, that's what I want to do. Play something that feels like a video game and not an interactive movie. This is something a lot of you fail to realize as to why these games were garbage to begin with and never caught on. People found them painfully boring and redundant as hell. Doesn't matter how serious they tried to be with the plot or how "Deep" they thought the story was, at the end of the day most people don't want to be tied down by long winded video game plots trying to imitate the film industry. Yakuza games have well developed plots too but those games still feel like video games and not movies I've seen a hundred times or tv shows with similar plots like CSI.
You know, I've always wondered if you can just straight up refuse all 5 trials as Ethan and have Madison call and tell you the address after escaping Shelby's apartment and completely make the trials irrelevant. XD
Wow! First time watch for me and I was blown away. It slowly grew on me and I became obsessed quickly. For me, the moment I knew who the killer was, had to be visiting the old man at the keyboard shop. That entire dialogue was very suspicious and my heart knew Scott had killed the old man from spilling the beans(even tho we don’t find out til later). An insane game and truly one of the greatest I have ever seen.
Best mystery/thriller, drama, sci-fi and crime game ever. Reminds me a lot of Se7en the movie. Norman Jayden is the most epic character ever. The legendary FBI badass with ARI glasses and gadgets to solve investigations.
Heavy Rain is Not really a Horror game but it does have Dark elements, but why would people hate this masterpiece of a game? It's like the interactive version of Watch Dogs

This game isn't anything crazy, but its definitely a childhood of mine, if only it was better i would have loved it more, its like those underrated anime that don't get allot of attention however its not bad. It just has some problems.

I prefer Beyond: Two Souls to Heavy Rain in just about every respect, but this is definitely superior to Fahrenheit. Mostly because that one is terrible, once the narrative derails near the end.
Having watched my mother do architectural drawings many, many times as a child that sketch scene was really jarring. Really needed a lot more drawing aids and hunching over the desk to get precision. Dunno why that bothered me so much. Suspension of disbelief is such an odd thing but, after the need for precision even in rough architectural sketches being impressed on me from a young age, the dramatic freehand animations looked so out of place.

I see your channel still have super thanks and membership that's teamyoutube never notice or said your channel are resued content? Because I do gaming channel either i just wonder .
I am my own company if you add your own style and make movie like gameplays where you put your own spin on the games it‘s fair use I color grade my videos on my own and put my own filters on it plus I am from Switzerland which the law is very different here
this game is a waste of money, and time... my god like really? A mix of Alan wake, silent hill and Erika but none fits well, who wants to play a game runnng after 2 kids for 7 hours? Boring.
I know this game has many flaws and whatnot, but I can't deny the fact I feel an emotional connection to the game and that'll always love it deeply.
i think people are honestly way too critical of this game. it came out literally almost two decades ago when 3-D technology was still fairly new.

This is actually really relaxing having this playing in the background as you start getting ready to nap or sleep.
