When Regina said "We were just attacked by a big ass lizard" sounded so real. Superb voice acting by the actress because that's totally what someone would say in that moment.
FACTS, it was very authentic
PS1 on a CRT in the early 2000 with your friends, some snacks and cola and your evening was in the bag!
the cutscenes looked crazy good for the time actually. all the visuals were pretty impressive. The models and animations are awesome and even the lighting and sounds in this game were great. It’s like a forgotten masterpiece from an era of videogames that dont get much appreciation anymore, but it took an enormous amount of talent and passion to create something on this level back then. Seeing this brought back to life would be unreal. Ideally if remade in the engine used for Resident Evil 2’s, given the same treatment and attention, the Dino Crisis remake would be outstanding. Most people wouldnt even know what it is but i have no doubt it would be a success.

Resident Evil clones were all over the place back then. Dino Crisis is a shining example of how to do it right. Which isn't to big of a surprise since it was also devoloped by Capcom. I also loved the second game which felt completely different.

@@KittysuitSavesthePrincess I played this game today after many years and it is still anxiety inducing for me. The fixed camera angles and the wonky controls make it even worse.
As a kid I had no idea what was going … only the fact there was dinosaurs everywhere. So I just felt like I was at Jurassic Park in my head I guess.

When I was a kid I was terrified by dinosaurs, no thanks to Jurassic Park. I even cried watching my dad played this game because it was too scary. Yet here I am confronting one of my childhood nightmares lol. Great playthrough as always!
I missed this game when I was a kid. The japanese mystic sci fi horror games were way popular from the late 90s & early 2000s. Still love them. Good thing I played this games. Gaves you to experience about its coldy & eerie atmosphere of the game.

I played this back in the day and I was only 10 but I memorized all the password in every door and unlocked all clothes and different endings. I remember my father and brother asking me about the passcode in every locked door everytime they play and I felt like I was an Artificial Intelligence like Umbrella red queen or some shit lol those were the days 😂

I've never heard of or seen this game before. I like it. Old games like this have a nice pacing to them. I also enjoy how the T-rex felt as an enemy: unstoppable and always lurking SOMEWHERE in the facility. It was just a question of which door it was behind (also, it's aggression felt unnaturally strong, as if bringing it over from another time also did a number on its mind, making it an even more outlandish foe than just a dinosaur). Obviously the player knew pretty much everything about the game to fly through it so, but I'm sure a new player would have spent a lot more time of searching and puzzling. Great game and enjoyable long-play. Time to check out the second one. :)

_Resident Evil_ may have gotten more attention, but _Dino Crisis_ has the meatier story and lore. The sequel wasn't bad but it felt too much like a shooter with survival-horror elements. As for the third title...the less said, the better.

Ahh Capcom abandoned Gem. I remember playing this at launch. We used to call it Dino Resident Evil I never played the obscured Part 3. Onimucha was another series that used this same survival Horror game Style.

I always thought it was funny. The dinosaur "velociraptor" irl was about the size of a small-medium dog. Like 4-5 feet long (mostly tail) and 2.5 feet tall, not the scary 10-15 ft long roughly human height dinosaur portrayed in 90s.
The dinosaur "deinonychus" was basically what was called velociraptor in this game and jurassic park. And all of them were feathered.
Id love a remake of this game, but the dinos would actually look like real dinosaurs with feathers and called by their correct names

If those velociraptors had the same mindset as the Jurassic Park rapters, this game would've been much much harder. The same tactics you use the first time wouldn't always work, and they would have tactics to bait trap you by having one there, the other nearby.
