Che, no se si es q hace mucho q no los escuchaba, pero me parece q es una de las mejores versiones en vivo. De verdad esta entre las mejores, muy conectados !!!! AGUANTE CACTUS LRCDL LOOOORAAAA!!!!!
I love Carmine's drumming, a more controlled version of the more is more ethos of Keith Moon. Closest that I heard in the seventies to Carmine was John Bonham which is high praise indeed. He elevates the trap set from rock solid rhythm to a lead instrument. McCarty's guitar is literally jaw-dropping.
the ORIGINAL CACTUS line up......well i am shocked they never became a superstar draw back in the day.......never really go their dues! amazing talents :)
Ace was a huge fan as well...raved in his book how after Kiss when he was solo playing clubs he met McCarty and did a one on one jam with him backstage and how great it was to jam with one of his idols....yes Uncle Ted loved him...on top of that he jammed with Hendrix Jimi/ Jimmy Jam....
Fuck stay safe...thats how they control us... Take risks dammit! Live on the edge! Safe ppl just hold us back cause theyre pussies wearing pussy hats... Safe ppl under the bed... Fighters out front!!!
Vraiment bon! Comme au premier jour... Cactus, c’est Led Zep, Hendrix, Grand Funk, Deep Purple et Black Sabbath en un seul tout! Oui, tout un groupe original, avec son style original sans nul autre pareil! Really good! Just like on day one ... Cactus is Led Zep, Hendrix, Grand Funk, Deep Purple and Black Sabbath all in one! Yes, a whole original group, with their original style unlike any other! Studio Nico, Québec Canada
I was a big fan of Vanilla Fudge and didn't know what to expect when I saw Cactus open for Jimi Hendrix at the Baltimore Civic Center in Baltimore in 1970. Hendrix was awesome, but, honestly, Cactus just about upstaged him. McCarty, as others have said, way way way under-rated guitarist. Of course, I bought 3 of Cactus's albums with the original foursome. Sadly, Tim died of cancer in 2021. One of a kind bassist. Rusty Day not the best vocalist but better than the vocalist in this video. Somehow, Rusty's voice worked in Cactus. Thanks for sharing this video!
I was there at the Baltimore Civic Center, if it was the same show I saw a band called Crank played first then Cactus and then Hendrix. I was in tne 8th grade, my first big concert I ever got to see. I thought the same, Cactus kind of blew everybody away that night. Tim Bogert really became my hero after seeing that concert
@@johnhall1519 Lucky 8 year old boy! At my age (77), hard to remember Crank, but I was shocked at how awesome Cactus was. Hendrix was/is my greatest rock hero, but I have to admit, he barely did an hour and booked out of there. I wish I had seen him with Band of Gypsies on New Year's Eve -- I've got that album, watched video of BOG at that event....might have been one of his best! As for Cactus...wow, Appice, Bogert and McCarty about as heavy as rock can get. Happy that you got to see them (Hendrix and Cactus!) Stay cool!
Never heard of these guys until I heard Ted mention McCarty as an influence - now I can't un-hear the similarities. And for all the Carmine Appice detractors, I'm no expert but he sounds great to me.
He left the Band a while ago. He was teaching at Berkley In Cali for a while. He says he can't tour anymore because of Health reasons. Cactus One Way or Another I practically wore out! Tim 's Power Chords blew me away back then.
Jim McCarty is one the greatest blues players of the World.
I got two words for this. Gotta Love It. HA
Jim McCarty and Carmine Appice still doing it after all these years. WOW!!!!!
Old MetalHead going to see Jim tonight at a local bar
not easy...the force of the feeling...hard to believe...
I no

I do want to add: Mr. Appice is a legend.
Carmine Appice is a beast. Still phenomenal.
loved me some Cactus over 50 years now
Holy shit! This is great!

I have always been a fan of Cactus. The drumming is impeccable, just super! McCarty's guitar solo stupendous! Cactus rocks!

Heavy blues sound great
Just saw Jim McCarty last month here on the east side of Detroit. He’s always playing venues around this area. Always excellent.
awesome bro love Jim
Is he the same Jim McCarty who was the principal influence on the young Ted Nugent? If he is, then he's aged even better than Ted has!
@@arthurblackhistoricyes same guy. Jim played with Mitch Ryder before cactus. Saw him live twice last year looking great at 78.

Jim McCarthy and his Ampeg Scrambler really Rocked it One of my all time Favorite Bands in the early 70's 👍👍

Kick ars
Drummer reminds me of Bonzo
東京来てたの!?
そうみたい。今見とかないとカーマインやマッカーティは75age過ぎなんで完全に見られなくなりますね。50年以上衰えなくやりつづける凄さはロッククラッシックです。
Нет,но хотелось бы.
Is that Tommy Shannon on bass?
Where's Timmy?

This Bass player if he's the same one that took Tim's place was from Paterson NJ. I'm from Jersey. No Comparison for sure!
@@bentpolski He is good. Pete Bremy is his name. He is also in Vanilla Fudge with Carmine.
