Carmine Appice is a beast. Still phenomenal.
AHHH...one of the only songs I'm not on
Just as great as ever!!!
Holy shit! This is great!
Kick ars
Drummer reminds me of Bonzo
Carmine! Bravo, ragazzo!
tout le groupe est formidable, l'un ne va pas sans l'autre, bassiste, batteur, guitare, harmoniciste. chanteur. Cactus. 😉🧐👍
I love Carmine's drumming, a more controlled version of the more is more ethos of Keith Moon. Closest that I heard in the seventies to Carmine was John Bonham which is high praise indeed. He elevates the trap set from rock solid rhythm to a lead instrument. McCarty's guitar is literally jaw-dropping.
Ted Nugent/Joe Rogan brought me here.
Never heard of these guys until I heard Ted mention McCarty as an influence - now I can't un-hear the similarities. And for all the Carmine Appice detractors, I'm no expert but he sounds great to me.
Jim McCarty ; killer tone .
Now can you see why EVH loved them so much?
Heavy blues sound great
the ORIGINAL CACTUS line up......well i am shocked they never became a superstar draw back in the day.......never really go their dues! amazing talents :)
I do want to add: Mr. Appice is a legend.
I was a big fan of Vanilla Fudge and didn't know what to expect when I saw Cactus open for Jimi Hendrix at the Baltimore Civic Center in Baltimore in 1970. Hendrix was awesome, but, honestly, Cactus just about upstaged him. McCarty, as others have said, way way way under-rated guitarist. Of course, I bought 3 of Cactus's albums with the original foursome. Sadly, Tim died of cancer in 2021. One of a kind bassist. Rusty Day not the best vocalist but better than the vocalist in this video. Somehow, Rusty's voice worked in Cactus. Thanks for sharing this video!
I was there at the Baltimore Civic Center, if it was the same show I saw a band called Crank played first then Cactus and then Hendrix. I was in tne 8th grade, my first big concert I ever got to see. I thought the same, Cactus kind of blew everybody away that night. Tim Bogert really became my hero after seeing that concert
@@johnhall1519 Lucky 8 year old boy! At my age (77), hard to remember Crank, but I was shocked at how awesome Cactus was. Hendrix was/is my greatest rock hero, but I have to admit, he barely did an hour and booked out of there. I wish I had seen him with Band of Gypsies on New Year's Eve -- I've got that album, watched video of BOG at that event....might have been one of his best! As for Cactus...wow, Appice, Bogert and McCarty about as heavy as rock can get. Happy that you got to see them (Hendrix and Cactus!) Stay cool!
Wow......really!!!! To hear these stories amaze me always
Holy sh!t Its so cool seeing these guys First time I heard them was on the ot n sweaty album
Is that Tommy Shannon on bass?
These guys are great!🤘🏼
loved me some Cactus over 50 years now
This Band fits well together, real well
Amazing and beautiful what a great jam.
Rockin' boogie 'til the cows come home . Carmine on drums , great as usual , keeping the beat with style and flair .
Jim McCarty is GOD
Saw Cactus at my High school in N.J. around 1970, damn could they 🎸.
The best rock!great 🌵👏👏👏
I have always been a fan of Cactus. The drumming is impeccable, just super! McCarty's guitar solo stupendous! Cactus rocks!
CARMINE!!
Unbelievably
Long live Jim McCarty
oh yeah Carmine kicks ass
Top 5 bands I love...
