That is a very subtle "two tone" paint job. Based on the photos, can barely tell if it is just the light breaking differently on the body creases. Nice example of the long forgotten "R" body of 1979-1981 era.
Any acceleration hesitation is probably due to electronic spark control, which can be removed. I love these cars. While not worth a lot of money, its a cool ride.
You have a beautiful car. I loved big cars in the 70's. I hated the GM full sized cars when they downsized in 77. They looked "awkward" to my eye. Chrysler's downsizing of its big cars was a much better execution visually.
