I never thought I'd look back at one of these and think they're cool but now compared to all these ugly trucks everyone has, its pretty nice, especially with that beautiful velour interior, which is much nicer than leather
I don't know what it is about these 1988-1993 Chrysler New Yorker Fifth Avenues/Dodge Dynastys, but I've owned two (one of each) and I love them very dearly and would gladly have another. I'd love to get another some day.
@@thisbandreallystix You are absolutely correct. The Dodge platform, Dynasty was supposed to cover that price class since making one for Plymouth would be too down scale in their eyes. I have seen some pretty basic Dodge Dynastys with very few options.
Believe it or not, the optional alloy road wheels was an upgrade to the steel wheels with the wire wheel discs. The discs were just hubcaps not real wire wheels.
I had a ‘93 Fifth Avenue, same color scheme, also one owner (an old lady) and it was the most beautiful, plush car I’ve ever owned. Such a pleasure to drive. It was my first car, and I would trade my brand new $40k SUV in a heartbeat to have it back.
This brings me back good memories, This was my first car back in high school, I remember I customize mine all low rider with chrome low pro rims all white bought mine for 2,000 dollars cash from an elder guy , always kept it garage in and clean and well maintained
@JoJoStar22 good I had a 92 new yorker I was just young and didn't fix it up before I let it get to bad wish I took care of I'd have it can't really find these anymore
@@JoJoStar22Really? I had a 1986 Fleetwood Brougham in 2019-2021, myself. (I know that, post-1985, that's really not the same as a Deville, but still...)
This is such a RARE find!! Especially in this condition. I would snatch this up in a heartbeat if it were still available. Wow. Like winning the lottery.
From what i can see, this car is missing the optional Mark Cross leather, Power moonroof and digital guage cluster. It does have the very rare optional alloy road wheels which you only see on about 5 to 10% of these Fifth Avenues. This had to be a customer ordered car to be speced this way. The original owner really loved this vehicle and i can see why. It's stunning in that blue diamond paint. Only second to the Imperial that was offered during these years but still a wonderful car to add to a Chrysler aficianado's collection.
It's so sad when the younger generations don't appreciate these cars when the original owner passes away. A lifetime of keeping a car in such mint condition going down the drain. I hope that car found a caring new home.
Not at all the fan of K-car derived Chrysler products of this era but I have to admit that this car definitely is a survivor a driveway diva so definitely someone appreciated this car greatly and it's a miracle that it's still surviving and so great a condition.
Well just do you know, this is NOT a K car deriviative car. This car is based on the Y platform which is a stretched version and a different platform altogether.
Hey @thisbandreallystix - do you ask a lot of questions much in daily life, too?!? Why are you "laughing out loud" after asking the nosy questions, you are only curious about. Ehhhh?
This car is absolutely stunning
I think this has to be the most beautiful model Chrysler ever produced. And yeah, my parents had a 91 gold one with brown landau.
That goes to the 67/68 imperials back in the day
I would agree. Some people prefer the 1992-1993 slightly rounded edges to the earlier 1988-1991 cars. Preference really.

I agree...I found a 93 Pimperial and had to have it...big, square, lots of chrome...
@@jeffputz4266Yeah, the Imperials are nice. I'd love to have one. I never had one before.
One thing that has always struck me as odd as far as these are concerned is that Plymouth apparently didn't offer a version of it.

Oh my gosh! I love this car! I would prefer the Wire Wheel Covers for a more elegant look.

Chrysler was still making quality cars then even in the 90s💔
We drove that same model car to Florida from ohio it was very nice smooth and quiet
My dad had a 88 ny with cherry outside spoke wheels so nice comfy rip
That dark cherry exterior color was stunning on that car. I remember it well.
Beautiful cars, I remember when I was in the army. My platoon sergeant bought a red one. What a ride then and now. Is it for sale?
I owned 3 of these and loved them! I just boughta 1989 Dodge dynasty, almost the same!
Thank you for sharing and the APPRECIATION Seth.

The former owner of this car did the impossible make a Chrysler a survivor look awesome

Wtf? Maybe they didn't have room for it? Maybe they aren't car enthusiasts? Maybe they have enough cars already? To hell with hate
I lucked out and bought one from a guy his grandparents gave it to him. I LOVE IT

Man, that was a nice crunchy riff to kick off the vid. Would like to have heard some more
How many miles on the odometer of this, and how much are you asking for it? (And, are the two comparable? ;) Lol)

Should bring back a retro New Yorker….
I’ve always loved the older Chrysler vehicles. Especially the noise the transmission make when shifting, lol.

Yeah the digital dash was a stand alone option on these cars. I do prefer it to the analog setup.
How much. Thank you
Love these cars. Too bad it didn't have a sunroof
Yeahhh ... "too bad" ... better NOT to have a sunroof ... one less area for rain to leak in !!
The moonroof was an option. This car doesn't have it.
Price
Price? Have to attempted to CALL to find out? Or are you only "curious"?

The ultimate K car

Memory seating has been out since the 1970s. 1991 would have just as many options as 2023.
