    Entertaining player. That signature back hand jump shot is amazing. I got emotional watching the end in Montreal against Nadal. My dream is to see him play live some day. Maybe in Montreal since I'm here.

    That jump one hand backhand is glorious. Shapovalov has an arsenal of weapons being left handed and a one hand backhander all at once. Besides the fact that one hand backhand play always looks nice to watch. Incredible stuff to watch!

      @@siccimo4501 I actually think the technique of both forehands are quite good, but just as you say, definite improvement is needed for timing. I hope Shapo tightens it up because it could be a HUGE weapon.

    I really hope he actually pans out and starts getting consistent results. Otherwise he'll be another Monfils.. flashes of pure brilliance on court but no significant results to back it up. He has the game and athleticism for sure. He's my favorite next next (or whatever next we're on now) gen player to watch

      @@alexcelo Uhh... Tennis? lol Dominic Thiem has a more accurate backhand swing, but Shapvalov can produce far crazier shots when he times it up right. Both have a ton of power behind them

      @@alexcelo He's been on tour longer which definitely helps as well. Thiem has about as perfect of a game all around as you can have as of now, Shapo is clearly still unpolished. Hopefully tennis comes back soon so we can see the continuing growth in all these new stars and if the old guard can hang on any longer.

    Most pure groundstroking talent of all time. He’ll slowly get more consistent and mentally tough in clutch moments and probably win some grand slams, but I don’t think it’s possible to be consistent enough with this type of playstyle to be dominant consistently for years.
