Also love this song, and it reminds me of all the times Richard didn't play it on his concerts, and there was this one guy on the Richard Shindell email reflector (remember those?) who was lobbying hard for him to do so :-)
Yeah, not Richard's usual thing. He actually sorta addressed that when he played *Lazy* at one of his shows. The story went that these South American musicians were playing with him, and with some of the chords they use, you just can't write songs about mining accidents. LOL, true story. Love Richard. Blue Divide is a fine album, but of all his, I think Sparrow's Point is still my favorite album, but Reunion Hill comes in a damned close second. But can't go wrong with anything of his, really.
Here’s to you whose love is new And all rosy in the summer Days are long, skies are blue Nights could not be sweeter Through the skylight the moon and stars Will shine like this forever They’re calling for a thunder storm But who care about the weather Here’s to you who lost a love You never will recover Now you can’t imagine how You could ever love another You boarder all you windows shut Against that old nor’easter But someday soon you’ll go back out And face the changing weather Outside the rain keeps falling down Soon the sun will come back out Love is lost, love is found So never mind the weather Here’s to all you Moms and Dads Who hold it all together Heaven knows you love your kids You might even love each other You work all day, you sleep all night And find an hour for dinner And time’s too short to sit and whine About all this dreary weather Posting Lyrics.

Love this song!
Here’s to you whose love is new
And all rosy in the summer
Days are long, skies are blue
Nights could not be sweeter
Through the skylight the moon and stars
Will shine like this forever
They’re calling for a thunder storm
But who care about the weather
Here’s to you who lost a love
You never will recover
Now you can’t imagine how
You could ever love another
You boarder all you windows shut
Against that old nor’easter
But someday soon you’ll go back out
And face the changing weather
Outside the rain keeps falling down
Soon the sun will come back out
Love is lost, love is found
So never mind the weather
Here’s to all you Moms and Dads
Who hold it all together
Heaven knows you love your kids
You might even love each other
You work all day, you sleep all night
And find an hour for dinner
And time’s too short to sit and whine
About all this dreary weather
Posting Lyrics.
Great song!
