The work you put in with them when they are pups will be rewarded a thousand fold. A couple of downsides......their black fur is white at the root......no matter what you wear it's going to show ! The main problem though is the massive massive void in your life they leave when it is time to say goodbye ! ❤ GSD

She had the sweetest Heart and the sweetest eyes how she would tilt her little head and listen so sweetly. So funny. Your pup has the same bark as my Nico (GSD). She loves nothing better than to chase the water from the hose....just like your boy, but Nico loses her mind when she sees the hose coming out. GSDs are awesome dogs.
For three years, which ended a couple of months ago, I walked, as part of a job, a German Shepherd, and he quickly became more attached to me than he was to owner, my boss, who was very jealous and threw some fits about it. That isn't why I left the job, but anyway, I miss the German Shepherd and this video of Zeus particularly reminds me of the friend I left behind, with the head tilts and the chomping at water jets. I used to take him to a park where there were water jets, and oh, he had a great time and not only did I enjoy watching him, others would stop to watch him. Unfortunately he would try to bite off the heads of water jets and uproot them, and when he succeeded, I would walk him away as fast as possible, before a park employee saw what he had done and potentially held me liable. He was incorrigibly mischievous in multiple ways, but very sweet at heart, and I'm sure he misses me like I miss him, but to see him, I would have to see my former boss and he's someone I'm happy to have left behind. I wasn't even a fan of German Shepherds before my experience with one, and now I'm very much a fan.
I say that to my GSD too....."you don't need anything, we went for 2 walks, we played ball, you went outside 10 times, you don't need anything for a few minutes" LOL. They are a great family dog....they will play and play and play and play and interact with you all day every day.
The next trick you should train your GSD is 'find'. I'll hide GSD treats, give the first one as a starter and find remaining treats. It fun watching them finding their treats ..
I can’t leave the hose out..mine bites the end clean off! Totally obsessed w water! You can squirt w a squirt bottle, they can snap it faster than you can ever spray..mine also chases the red spot from the laser thermometer..so funny..
just ent this morning to get my lil girl out of the vets office she is 8 months old. when she heard my voice she started to cry. had her fixed she saw me and was all over me. broke my heart. however she was happy to get in the pickup. and go home. vet made me feel good v ery well behaved and gentle at 8 months she is 71 pounds. still a lap dog as far as she is concerned. loves her cats and other dogs and family with all her lil heart. great gsd
