The facilities, the sorted & streamlined nature of the service, the budgetary power, the lakhs of hectares of land that a DFO controls, the 500-700 people that work under a DFO at divisional level, having both administrative & policing powers (in forest land), being part of all important district level committees.... it's an amazing service. Depends it's subject but for a broader perspective IPS offers you with day to day law & order challange where u serve local PPL. whereas in IFS u get to carry forward govts. Foreign policy & get to explore different countries & cultures. 😊
If u want praise- IAS If u want intimidation- IPS If u want zero pressure- IFS(forest service) Foreign service is not worth it imo. Rather get a corporate job & leave india. IMO
